This is because the dollar index has been getting so strong recently, (stronger than its been in years) — this is making it more difficult for emerging markets to get dollars. If it's harder to get dollars, than that means it's more expensive, which means it is beginning to bankrupt some of these emerging markets. It's only a matter of time before this begins to spill over into developed markets.
