If you are familiar with the 80/20 rule, or the Pareto principle, and you don't know what your 4% is, you are missing the point. Everyone knows what the 80/20 rule is, but very few people understand how to maiximize this ratio to create the most positive output and benefit in their lives or businesses because the Pareto principle is incomplete. You see, if you apply the 80/20 rule to the 80/20 rule, you end up with two numbers. 4% (20% of 20%) and 64% (80% of 80%)... and these are the most important numbers in your business. Why? Because if you stay focused on doing the 4% of things that only you can do... You will create 64% of the effectiveness needed to be successful with your business. You then outsource the rest, or build systems and automation in order to maximize your output, keeping yourself focused on the most important tasks (your 4%). My wife and I are always asking ourselves and each other... "Is this your 4%?" ...Meaning. Is this something that ONLY you can do? So often we find ourselves doing things that any of our developers, designers or VA's can do, so we need to remind ourselves to do those things that only we can do. This is how we keep the first thing first and stay focused on the most important tasks at all times.

Are you tracking the right Facebook Advertising metrics? Do you know how to calculate your KPIs for successful ad campaigns? If not, you are setting yourself up to lose money on your Facebook ad campaigns without even realizing it. If you get this right, you can move forward testing as sets, ads and campaigns knowing exactly what numbers you need to see in order to start scaling your FB ads fast! Facebook advertising is known to be the best ad platform available today, but most people struggle running profitable or break even ad campaigns... And it is because they don't know their numbers well enough! This video covers the two numbers you must track and how to calculate them for your funnel. Here are the two math examples from the video written out for you... First is an example where you make $100 for a sale. In this example, you have a 2% conversion rate on your sales page. This means you should expect one sale for every 50 visitors to your sales page. (100 / 2) Since this is the OTO your visitors see after they opt in, this means you need to generate 50 leads for every $100 sale... 50/$100 = $2 When you divide the 50 leads by $100 you get a $2 cost per lead... Or CPL. So you need to see $2 leads coming through your Facebook ads manager and when you reach the $100 spend mark, you should expect to see 1 sale! Simple, right? Ok, lets do the second example from the video... In this example, lets say you earn $25 per sale. You also have a 1% conversion rate, meaning it will take 100 leads to generate 1 sale on average. So you divide the 100 leads by $25 and you get $0.25 In this scenario you need to get 25 cent leads in order to be on pace to have one $25 sale for every 100 leads. Simple, right? Knowing your numbers is so important... And ignoring facebook's cost per click is often important since you need data that is backed by conversion. Also, stick around to the end of the video where I explain how to be sure you are getting real data from the facebook advertising system because they are notorious about trying to 'claim' more sales than they generate. With those links out of the way, let's move on to the actual five-step process here...
Step one: Figuring out who you can be of service to.
This step is the same as niche selection but I approach it from the idea that you either have experience that can be helpful to many from your past, or you can commit to becoming a helpful advisor or researcher on a specific topic that interests you.
In the video I cover how him pulling on your past experiences can make this process easier… And how these past experiences don't have to be professionally focused, they can be based on hobbies or sports you've participated in as an amateur.
For those who don't feel like they have a specific topic that they're already able to help others with, I share how finding what you're passionate about or interested in and willing to research, read, produce content on for a few years can also be an option.
The big key behind step one is that you are becoming a researcher on a specific topic to help save time and energy for your audience. Researching things you're already an expert in is easier, but researching things that you enjoy is also fun and easy too.
Step two is to figure out how you can most easily communicate.
Your options here are simple… Either video, blog posts in written form, podcasts in audio format, or advertisements.
The first three don't cost any money, but they are effort based. Advertising definitely costs money so this is only an approach you can take if you have a budget to work with.
Step number three is to create, create, create!
If you chose videos as your main method of creating content, then 2018 needs to be filled with you producing hundreds of videos throughout the year.
If you chose to blog then writing hundreds of blog posts is your job.
Same with podcasts, you must create, create, create!
This is content marketing in action and is the fuel to your online business' engine
Now if you chose to go the approach with advertisements you're still creating lots of content or advertisements, but you're more focused on testing the copy on the ads and the copy on your landing page.
The advertisement approach means you focus more on conversions then you do on audience growth through volumes of content published.
Step four is to grow your email list.
The job here is to become the preeminent leader in your chosen niche. This means you are more helpful than anyone else in the space… Which requires a lot of content published and making sure you share this helpful content with your audience via email.
The first steps are always to create a free giveaway that you can offer in exchange for their email address. This free giveaway must contain solutions to their problems or answers to their questions that they've been seeking.
Generally, you will offer this through a landing page, unless you use blogging then you can offer it through a pop-up.
Once users are on your email list the goal is still to deliver more valuable information, following Gary Vaynerchuk's jab jab jab right hook approach.
Step five is to help your audience get the products and services they already desire.
I share concept in this phase that desires never manufactured within your audience. Your job is to simply help your audience obtain that which they desire.
This comes from understanding your audience, their needs, their once, their fears, their desires.
Then you must create the content that's going to help them at least get on the path to solving the problems and achieving their desires.
Sometimes it's as simple as linking them to an affiliate product that does all the work.
Other times it's as complex as creating a membership program yourself and then populating the membership program with even more content that is specifically designed to help them achieve their goals.
The goal here is never to sell people something. It is much more about helping them obtain that which they desire… It's a subtle difference, but a big one!

If you are writing one or two line Facebook ads, you are missing on possibly the greatest opportunity to increase the conversion and responses of your advertising!
If you are talking about your product's features and benefits in your advertisements, you are completely missing the boat.

For us, the biggest workload we first focus to offload was all of the graphics required to create a professional presence on all of the different platforms active today.
From Pinterest and Facebook to Instagram and YouTube, social media requires a never ending supply of high quality graphics.
Then all of the blog posts, header images, logos, book covers, product images, flyers, business cards, teacher designs, CD covers, etc... Have created a massive workload for our designer.
When you mix in the required graphics for the Miles Beckler brand, on top of our main business… We had to expand our graphics capability. Plus it is always good to have a backup because two is one and one is none!

The next area we began outsourcing was customer support. At first I did all of the customer support myself until the tickets were requiring multiple hours per day at this point we brought on a full-time teammate.
She doesn't just handle our customer support, she assists with our social media marketing, outreach campaigns, WordPress help, and a wide variety of other virtual assistant tasks.
Then we hired a backup teammate for her so we could be sure she has the freedom to take vacation time, sick time, etc.
Then we look at the different independent contractors we use for various projects and tasks...
From our content marketing team who takes my videos and turns them into blog posts, to our book editor, transcriptionist, layout design person, bookkeeper, accountant, to our integration specialist who helps us with managing active campaign, automations and fancy segmenting stuff that I don't like to do.
Once all of the roles are filled out in the diagram you see the video, you will begin to understand how this actually turned out to create the largest challenge were currently facing our business.

People in our space are always amazed at how small the team we actually have for the amount of traffic, leads and revenue were able to create month over month.
The biggest reason for this, in my personal opinion… Is that we constantly focus on our 4% rule… The 4% rule comes from applying the 80/20 principle to itself. This is how we always refocus our efforts on the most valuable activities, at all times.

All in all, this is the biggest take away I can offer you for outsourcing to virtual assistants... Make sure you are outsourcing what you're not naturally great at and all of the items that are keeping you from doing the most valuable work that only you can do.
