Photography Matters Ep 79 – Improve Your Photography by Setting Goals
The Importance of GoalsUnless you’re a professional photographer with clients and paid assignments, it can be easy to leave the camera alone for long periods of time. You’re not pushed to keep shooting consistently and so maybe you don’t. If this is you, don’t feel bad, you’ve got lots of good company. But, one thing I feel is important in moving forward with your photography and to keep shooting and creating more consistently is by setting goals. I’ll talk about this in this weeks episode. I also want to pay tribute to three important photographers that we’ve lost recently, in just a short amount of time. Photography Matters Ep 4 – Why You Should be Shooting Everyday
As with any kind of creative artform that you involve yourself in, the last thing you want to do is start thinking during your creative process. By shooting everyday, you’ll be exercising your eye, your vision, your compositional skills to the point where when you do shoot, you act and perform more instintively. That’s the level you want to reach; to be able to create the kind of photos that can only be created with your vision. https://photographymatterspodcast.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Photographer-Matters-Ep-4-Why-You-Should-Be-Shooting-Everyday.m4a The post Photography Matters Ep 4 – Why You Should be Shooting Everyday appeared first on Photography Matters.

Fujifilm ACROS, EI 400 • Leica M6, Summicron 35mmStreet Photography – What Does it Mean For You? Street Photography is a genre; a category of photography that when someone says, “Street Photography” I think we all kind of have an idea in our mind about what that term means. However, the thing is that street photography has grown into a category that really has no rules, no boundaries, no clear meaning of what it actually is. It can be something completely different for each person who considers themselves a street photographer. Enjoy. The Links Tim Johnston YouTubeInstagramWebsite Paul C. INSPIRED – Episode 24 – Documenting Creativity
Noah – Just some shots from the series I mentioned during the episode. I’m a big fan of documentaries; the behind the scenes stuff. Some of my favorite photos to see are those of people who have been photographed, or documented in someway while they were creating. Sometimes I’m actually more excited by seeing those photos than I am of the actual finished work. We all know people who are artists, or at least creative. I think that is such a wonderful subject for our photography. Conversation • 3A.M. Happily, I seem to be (a little) better at sleeping through the night these days, so I’ve decided to wrap up my 3A.M. project. I had a lot of fun on those outings, but I admit it is nice getting a little more sleep these days. But I do kind of miss that time out on the streets during those late nights/early mornings. I’ll talk a little about the project, share the zine and talk about a couple other things on my mind this morning. Enjoy. The Link 3A.M. – Photography and Ramblings of an Insomniac (it’s free, man!)
