Daniel Mays, Barry from EastEnders, and Matt’s Farewell #348

The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast

It’s time for your weekly dose of the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast. We kick off with a recap of the song John Kettley Is A Weatherman, and it’s performance in last week’s Big Top 40, before actor Daniel Mays joins the team ahead of the new series of Code 404. Shaun Williamson, better know as Barry from EastEnders, was featured in Pippa’s Weekend Roundup Quiz Type Thing, for singing on stage with Sam Fender, which meant we had to get him on the show to talk about it. Shaun, that is. We didn’t speak to Sam about his experience. We delve a little deeper into what Chris can expect from Whitehaven, ahead of his visit there, followed by our latest edition of Who Are You, who turned out to be a legend of his field. Finally, we said goodbye to our sound designer, Matt Parkes-Smith, who was leaving the show to move up a floor. We therefore had to bring back some of his highlights to recreate on the show. But if that wasn’t enough…. -Pippa’s Iconic Monday Night Pub Quiz Win-Some More WhatsApp Messages-A Look Back To A Team Karaoke Night Enjoy! The Chris Moyles Show on Radio XWeekdays 6:30-10am

Episode 49: Daniel Mays - On Small Farming

Nature Revisited

In 2010, Daniel Mays started Frith Farm on a 14-acre piece of land in Scarborough, Maine. Drawn by Maine's food culture and support for local agriculture, Frith Farm now serves a CSA membership of over 200 families, as well as local natural food stores and farmer's markets. In this episode of Nature Revisited, Daniel talks about his path to establishing Frith Farm, the work and value he brings to the local community, and his belief that farmers should be stewards of the land, not miners of its resources, and that farms should be hubs of the community, not distant sources of its calories.Frith Farm website: https://frithfarm.net/Also available on your favorite podcast appsWebsite: https://noordenproductions.com/nature-revisited-podcastNature Revisited is produced by Stefan van Norden and Charles Geoghegan.
