Just in time to sit and do nothing while Covid flushed most peoples plans down the toilet; right until he made that first drive to the drop zone. Now a few years into the game with injuries and recoveries under his belt, Connor has his sights aimed towards longevity in our sports both for himself, and his brothers in arms, knowing full well what the Lunatic Fringe has to offer to those willing to give it a shot.

She knew from a pretty young age that she was in a rather unique position. She also knew from a pretty young age that her dad was, well…  cool! Luci Martyn has all the normal childhood memories that most kids do, but those memories are also forever intertwined with her earliest memories of skydiving, it's community around the world and her fathers prominent position in it. It wasn't a question that skydiving would someday be a part of her life, only how much of her life it might occupy. Now one of the directors of Jyro, an incredibly successful canopy manufacturer, Luci Martyn has the pedigree one would expect for a person in her position, right along with the wild streak needed to hold the reins of a company with a reputation for pushing boundaries (and sometimes buttons) with their line crossing antics and add campaigns to match. The Lunatic Fringe is most certainly strong in this one.

This truly is something that our sport naturally lends itself too; your version of your ultimate bonfire chat; your most memorable chance conversation with an icon of our sport; or an Audible copy of the one or two articles you read in Parachutist or Blue Skies that made you save the whole issue in your box of collectables.

Dancing around the clouds like Peter Pan for the last 30+ years, Olav Zipser has been "freeflying his mind" and traveling the world encouraging others to learn to do the same with not just technical ability, but with heart and passion. With ambitions that range from catching his shadow and its rainbow on every cloud he could find, to looking for ways to blast into outer space, Olav has led his best version of the life he almost didn't choose.

Hannah Parker PHD.  Fuck skydivers are amazing at themes (life changing course corrections), and this is one of my favorite ones by far!  Well on her way to becoming a full blown Doctor and researcher (did I mention the fuckin’ PHD?), Hannah and her friend decided to make a skydive to jazz things up a bit, at jazz it up it certainly did! Managing to finish off that PHD while fucking around at the dropzone, she gave her family the impression that she just needed some "down time" after all the hard work,  which is why she was pissing off to Portugal to go skydiving... Seven years later, she's still on that vacation from her original path! Join us for a fun look into the life and style of a hard working skydiver on this episode of Lunatic Fringe!

"They call him Mr. Glass"...  or at least I do. In this podcast. Without a doubt one of the most passionate skydivers I've ever had the pleasure to meet. Mr. Jim Matthews has more flat out love for skydiving and aviation in general than you could possibly imagine. Why am I so damn sure? Because I literally don't know any other jumper that isn't dead who's had more serious accidents and surgeries than him; and yet, through his AFF, tandem and video careers and the almost as ambitious career as life of the party, he not only managed to always have a sunny disposition and desire to be airborne, but he did it all while holding down a very respectable career in the "real" world. PLUS...  anyone who can link "smoke" and "scrotum" into the same story simply has to be heard!

The sport of skydiving lost one of its most generous this week. He was one of the sports most avid cheerleaders, motivators, teachers and first and foremost, passionate jumpers. Or, depending on your perspective, Meep Meep.  Without question one of the most unique souls ever to walk the planet, he was without a doubt one of the most memorable in skydiving and BASE.  With over 20,000 skydives and countless BASE jumps, Mr. Stanley not only left his mark on these sports with his accomplishments, but he left it with his unique interaction with all those he jumped and played with.  On this edition of Lunatic Fringe, two of his closest friends, Mr. Mark Norman and Mr. Will Lajeunesse take the time to share some of their fondest and craziest memories of a legend that passed much sooner, and a hell of a lot later than anyone would have thought.
