Matthew and Drew are best friends who share a passion for tattoos, travel and hair. The Strands That Bind Us –Shawna Lane did not always dream of being a hairstylist, her first loves were photography and fashion which she pursued in college. In need of extra money in school she decided to get a receptionist position at a very hip and edgy salon downtown Toronto called Coupe Bizzarre. Almost immediately she knew she had found her tribe and her new creative outlet.After 10 years of haircutting magic and doing every creative and wild haircut you could imagine she craved a different environment and shifted her path, ending up working at the salon Matthew co-owned at the time.Shawna has always been the most thoughtful and attentive hairstylist, sitting down with her clients chatting and listening to them to make sure she served their every need. However, her other love of health and nutrition was always put on the back burner, knowing maybe not all clients are looking for help in this are by their hairstylist. Since then, they have travelled all around the world teaching internationally together.Anh is a celebrity hairstylist based in los Angeles California, where he owns a salon, started a very successful education system called “Curated Cutting” teaching his trademarked “lived in texture”.He has styled hair for celebrities such as Julianne Moore, Anne Hathaway, Gwyneth Paltrow, and so many others.
