In 2014 as the reigning Mrs. Texas, Beth Isbell competed in the Mrs. United States pageant and walked away with the crown!  At the time, she was only twenty-four years old, yet she continues to represent married women everywhere with grace and style.  In this episode of "The Pageant Hour", I will get to know more about this Texas beauty.Beth Isbell graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science with a minor in Agricultural Business. She quickly developed a passion for learning and leading in an educational environment, so upon graduation she attended Texas A&amp;M University where she completed a Master of Science degree in Leadership, Education and Communications.She began working for the Texas A&amp;M University system as a youth development agent in which she provided educational programming relating to health, bullying, character education, and leadership to youth in her assigned county. Mallory Hytes Hagan was crowned Miss America on January 12, 2013.  She represented the State of New York during the 2013 Miss America pageant where she won both the swimsuit and evening gown portions of the competition.  For her talent, she performed a tap number to James Brown's "Get Up Offa That Thing".   In addition to the $50,000 college scholarship as part of the Miss America award package, Mallory joined an elite sorority of women to hold the title of Miss America dating back to 1921.   Mallory's platform, Child Sexual Abuse Prevention, is predicated on abuse suffered by members on her own family and is, therefore, very close to her heart.  Within 24 hours of her reign as Miss America, she was in communication with U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan promoting awareness of child sexual abuse.   Mallory's major initiative as Miss America was to become a spokesperson for the Chidren's Miracle Network where she travelled approximately 20,000 miles per month in its support.     Mallory's future plans consist of becoming a global marketing director for a comestics company after earning her degree in cometics and fragrance marketing.   For more information, please visit www.missamerica.org

Mallory Hytes Hagan was crowned Miss America on January 12, 2013.  She represented the State of New York during the 2013 Miss America pageant where she won both the swimsuit and evening gown portions of the competition.  For her talent, she performed a tap number to James Brown's "Get Up Offa That Thing".   In addition to the $50,000 college scholarship as part of the Miss America award package, Mallory joined an elite sorority of women to hold the title of Miss America dating back to 1921.   Mallory's platform, Child Sexual Abuse Prevention, is predicated on abuse suffered by members on her own family and is, therefore, very close to her heart.  Within 24 hours of her reign as Miss America, she was in communication with U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan promoting awareness of child sexual abuse.   Mallory's major initiative as Miss America was to become a spokesperson for the Chidren's Miracle Network where she travelled approximately 20,000 miles per month in its support.     Mallory's future plans consist of becoming a global marketing director for a comestics company after earning her degree in cometics and fragrance marketing.   For more information, please visit <a href="http://www.missamerica.org" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.missamerica.org</a>

Hyder is an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Tennessee serving in the Criminal Division and practicing before the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals and Supreme Court, Tennessee’s U.S. District Courts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit.  He also serves as an Adjunct Professor with Trevecca Nazarene University in their Criminal Justice Program.
