Episode 10: Collisions, Controversy and Crammed stands- British GP review

It was the turn of Silverstone to bring the heat - and boy did it deliver! With both scorching sunshine and drama spread over the entire racing weekend, Silverstone didn’t disappoint! We got to see the new “sprint” format and watch the chaos unfold on track. The drama only increased as the weekend co ntinued with on track collisions leading to off track drama and controversy.  It was a race for the fans and win number 99 for Lewis Hamilton. With the crowd behind the three home grown talents, the atmosphere was electric and a big leap towards normality.  Despite the excellent racing and good times, the race left a sour taste in the mouths of many with controversial comments from Dr Helmut Marko and Red Bull Racing Team Principal Christian Horner. The Behind Track Limits Team stand with the FiA, Formula 1 in the stance against racism and the horrid behaviour and messages directed towards Lewis Hamilton after his win. We hope to see a move in the right direction towards close racing, equality and inclusion within motorsport.

Episode 9: Double Header Drama: Home Race Joy, Penalty Points and Track Action

actually just add them together like this :)  Mercedes in trouble and make it double: Red bull dominance at home and penalties galore    The Red Bull Ring was host to not one, but two races in Austria! The Styrian and the Austrian Grand Prix left us with less doubt about the strenghts of Red Bull this year! There was some hearbreak during the weekend too, Williams showed amazing results but were definetly not the luckiest team on track. And the FIA did not dissapoint! A lot of penalty points were awarded at Austria which stirred the pot amongst the F1 community. We knew a double header in Austria could provide excellent entertainment and racing as proved last year - and with fans there to cheer on their favourite teams and drivers (everyone there to support Mclaren if you believe Lando Norris) the atmosphere was electric.  So here’s our take on two excellent and dramatic races that split opinions amongst our team and are certainly two races to remember.

Episode 8: battles and championship fights- THE FRENCH GP

Strategic genius, Mercedes woes, overtakes and radio drama - Paul Ricard did not disappoint!  France has often been considered a processional grand prix with little to no overtaking - perhaps someone should have reminded Mclaren of this! This was a race we couldn’t tear our eyes off of! With pit stop choices that were questionable at best and some genius teamwork and strategy, this race had everything we love about the sport! Overtakes, drama and unexpected twists late in the race.   We move on to the double header in Austria next, hopefully the teams keep on delivering entertaining races!

Once again Baku provided us with an amazing race, a chaotic restart and an unexpected podium!   Azerbaijan was one for the F1 fans to enjoy as we saw tires problems, a standing start ending in a shocking outcome, drivers getting on the podium for the first time with there new teams and we saw the championships leaders both miss out on an opportunity to climb up the championship!   But this weekend leaves us with some questions…what’s happening with the tires and Pirelli? Why wasn’t there a red flag sooner than later? What’s going to happen coming into the French GP?!   Leave your suggestions in the comments!!
