God’s Book Of Unfinished Business, Part 2 So, where we left off last session, John was weeping because he so understood the significance of the scroll God revealed that was in His right hand. The scroll represented some incredibly important “unfinished business” that needed to be taken care of in order for all of the promises and prophecies of the Bible to remain true. All I can say is that as we move on in the passage, John’s weeping stops, and by the end of the chapter, all of heaven breaks out into a hallelujah explosion! Hopefully, that’s what we’ll be doing by the end of our time together. Back To The Future, Part 4 We will continue looking at what John reveals to us that we will see and experience immediately following the Rapture. It’s exciting stuff! We’re going to be wading into the waters that the Bible reveals are above the sun, moon, stars, constellations and galaxies above the 2nd heaven…as well as identifying the four Beasts that are at the four corners of our Lord’s throne in the 3rd heaven. My prayer is that in seeing all of these intriguing things, it will translate into such an anticipation of Christ’s return—that we “LOVE His appearing,” which 2 Timothy 4:8 says will secure for us a “Crown of Righteousness” at the Judgment Seat of Christ. It was a “sea of GLASS…like unto CRYSTAL,” or FROZEN. #WordStrong The “sea” John saw is the one described in Ps.148:3 at the top of the 2nd heaven: the “waters that be above the heavens.” #WordStrong These are the same waters to which Job 9:8 is referring when it says God “treadeth upon the waves of the SEA.” # WordStrong These are also the waters that Gen.1:7 says are ABOVE the firmament, as opposed to UNDER the firmament. #WordStrong Job 26:8–9 tell us these waters have been bound by God into clouds—they “hold back the face of His throne.” #WordStrong Job 38:30 adds: “The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.” # WordStrong Scripture is consistent: God makes His abode &amp; has set His throne upon the vast waters of the deep, the face of which is frozen. #WordStrong As Leviathan approaches the throne thru these waters, by his path, one would think the deep to be hoary—or white. Special Edition I kind of feel like Kevin in Home Alone 2 when he gets “Lost in New York.” You know that part of the movie where he’s out on the streets in Manhattan in the middle of the night with all of the drunks, prostitutes and crazies until he gets so freaked out he flags down a cab, hops in and says, “Boy, it’s scary out there!” The cabbie turns around—looking like Igor out of a horror movie—and says, “Ain’t much better in here, kid!” With everything that’s going on in the world, I think we’ve all been saying, “Boy, it’s scary out there!” It makes you wanna make a beeline for a safe haven within Christianity—but with all the craziness going on right now in the name of “Jesus,” I feel like I’m looking at that same cabdriver right now and hearing him say, “Ain’t much better in here, kid!” These are, indeed, “perilous times!” (2 Timothy 3:1) In this session I’ll be talking about some of the craziness that a lot of well-meaning Christians are getting sucked into right now.
