The Far Country  - Episode 1

Whilst in Victoria visiting relatives, English girl Jennifer Morton meets a “new” Australian who works in a lumber camp and falls in love with him. Their romance grows, however, this “new” Australian is called upon to perform an emergency operation. The patient dies, and he is involved in a Police enquiry because he is not licensed as a doctor in Australia. How these two eventually find happiness in the face of this threatening disaster is graphically told with scenes shifting between England and Victoria (Melbourne, Mount Buller and the Howqua Valley are featured).
