Hello, Friend: You’re just in time for our podcast recap of <a href="http://www.usanetwork.com/mrrobot" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Mr. Robot</a> — season 1 episode 5 — “eps1.4_3xpl0its.wmv.” A major pat of the story this time was around the fsociety plan to penetrate and eventually destroy Steel Mountain — and Evil Corp along with it.   One thing we did learn for sure: never attend a business dinner party with Tyrell and his wife Joanna.  The Evil Corp CTO (<a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0593175/?ref_=tt_trv_qu" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Scott Knowles</a>) suspects this, too, as he glibly asks Tyrell: “If you were me, would you trust you as your right hand?” Not one to be flustered in front of the competition, <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0909412/?ref_=tt_trv_qu" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Tyrell Wellick</a> easily remarks: “If I were you, I wouldn’t have even let me in the house.” Ahh, and we thought being a CTO (Chief Technology Officer) was all about the love of tech. If you like the “H3ll0, Fr1end: A Mr. Robot Podcast”, please think about rating and reviewing this episode. However, as in real life, variable — so many confounding variables — got in the way to challenge Elliot’s plan to roll back the damage he’s done by shutting down the Dark Army plan to implement Phase 2. This all sounds confusing but not when you have big brains like Mr. Robot, Elliot, Tyrell, White Rose, Philip Price, Angela and Darlene all working in one way  or another to advance various competing and sometimes overlapping interests. If you like what you hear, please think about rating and reviewing this episode. We see some familiar faces as this compelling and yet bleak episode came to a crashing end. Is Irving right? Are all revolutions manufactured to take our attention away from larger world events we have little insight into and ability to control? Mr. Robot | Season 3 Ep 7 – eps3.6_fredrick+tanya.chk

Faster than a red wheelbarrow on fire, careening down a steep hill — the new season of Mr. Robot started off at a frenetic, red-hot pace and did not slow down the entire time. The series got off to a fast start with the introduction of of a retro-style “Fixer” named Irving (part Columbo, part Harry Tuttle) who seems to be in the employ of the Dark Army and pretty handy with hacking as well as social hacking. Elliot was definitely shot by Tyrell (who is very upset about that fact) and so we see these characters from an all-new perspective. Same goes for Angela, Darlene and Mr. Robot — we get to see all of them in a different light. For podcast co-host Henry, the episode had a lot do do with the sensation of “apophenia” — a word that describes humans’ tendency to try to make order out of unrelated thoughts or concepts. As Irving says, “When we lose our principles, we invite chaos.” Here’s hoping we lost nothing in delivering this review to you of what we both agreed was a fantastic season premiere.

In Elliot’s case, at least as far as he sees it, he’s burdened with having to try to undo a hack so effective that it brought down the world economy. He even goes so far as to take a job at E-Corp. Almost in tandem with the hack that Elliot made happen — the 5/9 hack — we have a scenario where China and the United States are lockstep in a battle of sorts over what will now become the dominant currency. They’re not talking about dollars or yen — the currencies at loggerheads with worldwide stakes are cryptocurrencies, namely E-Corp E-Coin and the very real-world BitCoin. China is backing BitCoin in this dystopian society and E-Corp is having none of that.
