On this week’s episode, I sit down with my former High School Baseball coach to bs and reminisce about the glory days.  Mainly, our path to winning the PIAA AA State Baseball Championship in 2010. Although we were not the most talented team in the state, we were able to strike lightning in a bottle and carry the momentum through the state tournament.  On this episode we talk about all of the extra work that he did to put us in position to win.

This is a 2-part episode.  The first segment, I pick his brain about CLIMATE CHANGE.  Due to his rational nature, and expertise in chemistry, and all things environment, I figured he’d be a great guest.  He did not disappoint! Nicole, my older sister, is one of my favorite human beings walking the face of this earth.  She is and has been my #1 fan as long as I can remember.  Having her as a guardian angel has allowed me [for better or worse] to become the person I am today. On this episode we talk about our relationship, and how much she has meant to me along the way.  We talk about her finding happiness with her husband Thomas Spahr. We also speak about the great news – she has a baby on the way!  We get into how much fun pregnancy is, and the excitement that bringing a little human being into this world truly is. Nicole, during her pregnancy, was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia.  We talk about her finding out, and the battle she has ahead. Nicole is one of the strongest people I know, and will undoubtedly kick this mother fucker’s ass. We had a great time, and look forward to checking in with her on this podcast through the good and the bad. We didn’t even cry

Wow!! I grew up with Zach Campo, and always knew him as a great athlete and a super nice guy.  He went to college, graduated, and worked his tail off at a seemingly great job.  Zach discovered rather quickly that something was off and that maybe there was more to this life thing.  So he set out on a spiritual  journey of sorts. We discussed reality, consciousness, travel, yoga, and a variety of different things.  Zach feels like a guru disguised as a normal guy.  This was a beautiful conversation. Today’s episode features two former professional baseball players! The first hour or so features Robert Rohrbaugh.  Robert had a 7 year journey – working his way up through the Seattle Mariner’s organization to AAA ball until a fluke weight room injury occurred and forced Robert to look for other ways to ‘attack’ the game of baseball. This came in the form of High Heat Sports Academy. http://www.highheatsport.com Robert Rohrbaugh uses his vast baseball experience, knowledge, and love for the game to give kids interesting in performing at the highest level a road map to get there.  High Heat Sports Academy offers individual training sessions, camps, and clinics using their indoor training facility year round.  They also have a variety of travel teams, and will be conducting showcase tournaments in the near future.  If you – or your child is looking to take their game to the next level, check out highheatsport.com !! The second guest of this DOUBLE HEADER of an episode includes Mark Phillips.  Drafted out of high school #9 overall to the San Diego Padres, Mark enjoyed an interesting journey through professional baseball.  After winning two AA championships, he was traded for Rondell White to the Yankees.  Unfortunately, Bicep Tendonitis to his pitching arm forced Mark to change his path.  We discuss the entire journey.  Mark is humble, grateful, and really opens up about some of the peaks and valleys that he went through as a young man.
