I wasn&#39;t familiar with Mr. Cooley&#39;s work before I had stumbled upon this novella.  It&#39;s an interesting novella in that the narration seems so relaxed and calm. I had thought the narrator Mr. Coolie ate something that soothed his stomach before he had started speaking.

Ah. As for the writing, I am not familiar with the world of tattoo artistry. But I had wondered how many artists could pull off giving someone an intricate tattoo for 40 bucks.

Despite my own bit of confusion on that plot point, I had enjoyed the novella. It has some tattoo descriptions that were evocative and the ending did make me a bit nauseated.

 I think this podiobook is worth a listen to if you want to hear some ornate tattoo ideas.

An novella that was more neat tattoo ideas than horror

This is really hard to listen to, the writer obviously knows very little about the tattoo industry. I&#39;ve listened to the first 45 mins and I can&#39;t listen anymore.
