"Being a zombie, not so easy". That could have been Dave Connor's six word memoir. "At first he couldn't remember how he'd ended up in that shallow grave; he just knew it was hell to claw his way out, and that the taste of its dirt would remain in his mouth for the rest of his time on Earth" ... Expect the unexpected in this existential resurrection thriller.

I kept waiting for the moment when Davey figured out how to eat people. Every time his uncle gets close, I think, &#34;is this when?&#34; But nope! 

This story takes all the zombie tropes and turns them around on you. There&#39;s a lady who works for the church, helping people who need it, and I assumed she was a professional zombie hunter, but nope; I don&#39;t even know if she knew about zombies for that matter. 

The ending is....interesting. I get how a lot of people would be upset by the sudden appearance of an ostensibly sexy eyepatch lady at the end, (she&#39;s in the final few paragraphs,) and the abruptness of the ending itself. 

Overall, it&#39;s worth it to give this a listen, it won&#39;t take up too much of your time and the &#34;poor&#34; quality of the recording is easy to overlook as you let the cadence of the reader take over. Hopefully, it will give you a bit of thought to chew on, and that&#39;s enough for me.
