Appalachian Truth Seekers  began in September of 2010. Amanda Hall founded the group with two co-founders and Team Leaders, Jason Lester  and Becky Arnold. Amanda has twelve years experience working with paranormal research groups. Some of the places she previously investigated prior to starting ATS were The Chester Inn located in Jonesborough, TN and Waverly Hills Sanatorium located in Louisville KY. The ATS team wanted to have an eclectic assortment of beliefs when it came to the paranormal on board. So I am going to be a good journalist and go down with the ship and report to you as long as I can stay afloat.   The show starts at 530 runs for two hours or as long as the earth will hold together. Scott will be reporting in from an unknown location that has reported high levels of paranormal activity. The location is only known to Scott and the small team that invited him to consult on this case.  The stories of what happen by legend in the house is the main reason Scott was brought in to help out the team. “What inspired you to become a ghost hunter”, I have to say it has been a passion of mine for a long time. When I was a kid I loved to explore and check out old abandoned houses, closed factories, forgotten school houses, and even a tall smoke stack that I climbed once in a while. If my parents had only known that I was climbing this smoke stack I would have gotten the whipping of my life. On my twelfth birthday my parents gave me a bicycle and that set me free to ride the local area to look for that perfect haunted fantasy. I would park my bike and go inside the desolate structure and walk around to see what I could feel, see, or hear. Sometimes I would get very quiet, close my eyes and try to image what the place was like before it was deserted. While listening I could hear moans, creeks, and whispers. The air around me would start to move slightly and the temperature would drop. If I were really lucky I would feel a hand on my shoulder or someone touching my back. It was usually at that moment I would start asking questions, “Is there anyone here? Hello, my name is Patti. Do you have a message for me?” I don’t remember every being very afraid. Every once in a while I would be startled at what I witnessed but as soon as I realized what had happened I would give off a nervous laugh and then move on.After I grew up, married and had children I would take them with me on some of my ghost hunting quests. We would walk into these hollow, cold, unconscious places to see what we could find. They were young and thought running around while yelling into the nothingness was cool. None of us knew that I would someday make this my career and become a certified ghost hunter.In the early 1990's I started to take my research more seriously so I began a rigorous probe into the spirit world. In 1996 I became President of Ghost Chasers International and this would include many ghost investigations.

John Ventre was born in The Bronx, New York in 1957.  He attended college at S.U.N.Y. of Farmingdale and C.W. Post. In High School, he had a 91 average and maintained a 3.8 during his time spent in college. John never finished his senior year. He elected to get a full time job and get married.John married his first love who he had met while in High School. They divorced sixteen years later. While married, John was blessed with two children; Nolan born on Long Island in 1984, followed by Vanessa, also born on Long Island two years later. John would have liked to remarry and have two more children. He would’ve named them Cole and Claire.John has lived in New York, Oklahoma, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and has traveled most of the U.S. and Europe. He grew up poor in The Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens. As a nine year old, John used to write his own scripts for Star Trek after watching his favorite weekly show. He would love to role play and act out his own scenes from movies and play fight. His first job was as a paperboy at age eleven, and he has worked ever since. John is the Pa-WVA State Security Director of a large company and is a member of the FBI’s Infragard group. John is also a lifetime member of MUFON and the NRA. Born in Orange CA, Kc Wayland attended Orange High School Media Arts program.Kc won several awards while in the school's media arts program including the Award of Excellence in Arts ad Best Student Editor (KOCE Media Festival) in 2001.Later that year he was awarded an Academic scholarship and started attending Chapman University's Film Program.There he continued to produce several short films including Love Lost, The Creature, Where Dolls Lie, Butterfly, and several others. In January of 2002, shortly after 9-11, Casey enlisted in the US ARMY. He took a leave of absence from Chapman and was sent to boot camp in Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and then to train at the Defense Information School in Fort Meade Maryland.He received two certifications in broadcast engineering and was awarded both Top Graduate and Distinguished Honor Graduate. In 2003 Kc returned to Chapman University to continue his degree, but was deployed to Iraq midway through his first semester.Kc spent over a year being deployed with the 222nd Broadcast Operations Detachment. He was nominated for a Bronze Star for meritorious service while stationed in the heart of Baghdad. He returned back to Chapman University in 2005 and went on to complete a documentary about his journeys overseas entitled 365 Boots on Ground. His graduating thesis culminated with an 18 minute long self-animated short entitled Sopor that took over a year and a half to produce. He graduated in May of 2008 with the Cheverton Award (Valedictorian).Shortly after, Kc received a designated subjects credential and began teaching at Costa Mesa High School's ROP program and also at OCHSA. After completing a year of instruction he received a full time staff position at Dodge College of Film and Media arts, where he currently works as the Digital Applications Specialist.
