One of the highlights of my trip was attending the Rahma retreat, headed by hypnotherapist Enrique Villanueva. There I learned some awesome energy healing techniques and engaged in powerful group chanting meditations. The Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT) and the REM Healing Technique were the two new energy healing modalities that I was introduced to. TAT reminded me of the Emotion Code or the Emotional Freedom Technique commonly referred to as tapping. Similar to both of these modalities, TAT is an easy and effective method for releasing trauma and trapped emotions. +Check out this episode to learn about releasing trapped emotions that could be holding you back physically and emotionally. The REM Healing Technique is a meditation process designed by Enrique Villanueva to shift your energy and perspective in relation to your past memories. When we shift our energies regarding the past, the change reverberates into our present and future. I hope to cover this technique in more detail in a future episode.  At the Rahma Retreat, when we weren’t learning something new or sharing our experiences, we would engage in chanting meditations as a group. For my last night in Shasta, a group of us came together to chant HU under the stars.  Pronounced like the word ‘hue,’ HU is known to attune meditators to a very high and divine frequency. From my perspective, part of the power behind chanting stems from the healing sound vibrations that reverberate through our body. Why does HU seem to work more effectively than any other random 2 letter word? Who can say for sure? Perhaps it has something to do with it’s meaning in ancient Sanskrit… where HU is said to be a name for the Divine. In any case, my experience chanting HU with our group for 20 minutes was more than notable and for that reason I am focusing on this chanting meditation in today’s episode. I experienced a profound boost in my frequency in the form of feeling light, receptive, peaceful yet powerful. Before I had the opportunity to chant HU in a group setting, my camping buddy Dave had been chanting HU throughout the week to treat his intermittent headaches. He had casually mentioned earlier on in the week that by chanting HU for several minutes his headaches would go away. Because of my lack of experience in chanting, I didn’t give his headache solution the attention it deserved… but I would find out soon enough.  My hope is that you too will take some time out to experiment with the HU chant and see how it can help you. After my profound experience chanting HU, I contemplated the difference between chanting meditations and proactive visualization or ‘thinking’ meditations.  Both have their benefits and are powerful methods for raising your frequency and improving your state of mind. In order to illustrate how each approach works, let’s take the example of white water rafting. With pro-active thinking meditations we are actively paddling and directing our raft downstream.  With chanting meditations, we set the oars aside and allow the current to take us as it will. If you follow Abraham Hicks or read my post on focusing and allowing, you likely already know where I’m going with this. With active meditations we guide our thoughts on purpose and use our focus to manifest and create a state of mind. Chanting meditations on the other hand allow us to flow with the current and rise with the tide so to speak. Both methods are incredibly powerful in my experience and it’s always nice to have options whenever or wherever you journey upwards. When you begin chanting, focus on breathing deeply into your belly. Focus on finding a tone anywhere along the musical scale that resonates with you. For me, I can tell when I’ve hit the sweet spot when I begin to feel the vibrations of the tone reverberating through my system. Combining the sound healing aspects of chanting with an allowing, surrendered state puts me in a deep state of relaxation. Try it out for yourself and let me know how it goes. Her focus in her practice is on assisting others in finding their balance by building confidence and releasing limiting beliefs. Thanks for tuning in:) ~Meniyka  ~Interview Transcript~ MK- Thanks for joining us Nicole!… So fill us in- what does it mean to be a Completion Process Practitioner?  NN- The completion process is a technique designed by a woman named Teal Swan. She suffered many years of PTSD because as a young child she went through a lot of ritual abuse and sexual abuse.  Everything she tried was not working for her until she came up with the completion process where she was finally able to work through her own trauma. Then she began using it with other people and noticed the same results in others.  She then created a program where she began teaching it to us practitioners.  The completion process is a really fascinating technique that combines emotional Vipassana with inner child work and guided visualizations. That’s why it resonated with me so much because Vipassana has been a huge healing modality for me, as well inner child work… and then I’ve been a fan of the guided visualizations. MK- Oh yeah, those make up the power 3… you’ve got all of them in there. I’m actually about halfway through her book called ‘Sculpture In The Sky’ and it is awesome! It’s right up my alley- kind of a combination of the Law of One material and Abraham Hicks.  NN- She’s really an amazing writer. The Sculptor In The Sky is a great book… her second book is actually even more fascinating to me because it’s more practical- it’s Shadows Before Dawn. It’s a tool kit for cultivating self love and it has all of these different exercises you can do to cultivate self-love.  I really like that one because a lot of time when we are listening to our teachers… it’s kind of like ‘everything you’re saying is really nice, but how do I apply this to my specific situation to help me get out of the darkness that I’m in?’ So I’m really into the exercises and that’s what Shadows Before Dawn is all about. Actual exercises to help you turn your perspective around. MK- I’m going to ask you about you in a minute, but I just want to mention this for our listeners- she has a bunch of free YouTube videos and the other night I was watching one. I think it’s called ‘working with your shadow self.’  I  really appreciated it because she’s expressing the importance of how positive thinking, positive focus and the whole ‘you manifest your reality based on your focus,’ is very good and the way things work- but if you are triggered and something set you off- take a moment and look at it (i.e. don’t ignore it.)  For example, you can understand if this (xyz) made me feel angry, then I can understand that I’m resonating with anger at some level, but let me go further and ask what stimulated this anger in the first place? And basically however you want to confront it is fine, but use knowledge to transform it first and then you can put your rose colored glasses back on. So I really appreciated that, I think it’s really important for spiritualists- for people who are into self transformation.  NN-  Right, I think that in my experience I see a lot of people- when we start learning about these concepts and practices… a lot of us start off with something like the Law of Attraction- the idea that our thoughts and our perspective create our reality. Teal Swan jokingly calls it spirituality 101. It’s a really important part of the process, but then you get to a point where you realize that sometimes you need to dive back into the shadows to be able to unhook that thing that’s keeping you stuck where you’re at. So although positive focus can really benefit us, sometimes it can benefit us more to actually go into the negative thoughts and dig around- so that we can begin to develop positive thoughts more naturally, rather than trying to force them. MK- Totally. I’ll just give an example from my personal life. Someone in my life triggered me. They kind of imposed their will on me and because I wanted to keep the peace- I backed down, but internally like I said it triggered me, it bothered me. So I told them because I don’t want to suppress stuff, that’s not my style either, so I gently told them…‘look, this really bothers me, but I get it and I’m willing to let it go and let bygones be bygones.’  Internally I worked on it for like a little while- probably a couple hours (it wasn’t a couple minutes,) and I realized that what I felt was that he was imposing upon my freedom which is my number one quality in life that I value. I then realized that I’ve actually been feeling this kind of feeling lately with little things in my life and this just kind of amplified it.  It showed me that this is what I’ve been feeling. So I didn’t necessarily do the inner child work the way she might have suggested it, but I looked at that and I began thinking maybe I’m just not  looking at all the freedom I do have in my life. Because it’s pretty ridiculous how much freedom I do have! So just by taking a moment- or the two hours that I took to figure that out- I realized how much freedom I have. I don’t work a 9-5 job, I come and go as I please, I do what I want… it’s a blessing. So basically what it did was it shifted any potential for me to potentially blame him and it allowed me to kind of reconfigure my perspective- to see what was really going on there. That’s how I approached it… but I really loved that she drew attention to this in that video and that’s a lot of what you do right?  NN- That’s a great example of how if you take the practice of positive focus in that situation you may have just been sitting there for days going ‘I need to love this person, I shouldn’t feel triggered, I just need to focus positive.’  MK- Right! Where you are boomeranging internally between ‘I can’t believe him and no…I should love him!’ But neither one of those is what’s really going on. NN- Exactly, what you are doing is suppressing this feeling that is trying to come up and what we talk about with the completion process is that these feelings are like little children inside of us who just want attention. That’s all that’s going on- we just need to give them attention.  So although it may seem we are taking ourselves out of positive focus by validating this emotional trigger that we’re having- by giving it attention and validating it- it allows us to integrate it so that it no longer nags at us. MK- Totally… Well it definitely shifted my energy. And I think if you caught me a few years ago I would have been pissed at him for a long time.  Can you tell us what got you into this in the first place and then once you became a practitioner what have you done with it since then? I know you started Okay2BYou. Can you tell us more about that?  NN- Actually the vision for Okay2BYou began before I even knew that I was going to be applying to the completion process program. I will try to make this long story short- I was an EMT for eight years and then once I started getting into spirituality, new age and natural medicine- I just became appalled with the system and I didn’t want to do it anymore. I quit on the spot just like that- with no back up plan. To pay my bills, I worked for Lyft and Uber until I could figure out what I wanted to do next.  I spent a year feeling very very depressed- it was the dark night of the soul because here my friends were having babies and getting married and I was starting all over again. I had no idea what I was going to do as a career.  That year I did a lot of soul searching. I went on the 10 days silent meditation Vipassana Retreat and then a 12 day Ayahuasca Retreat. Those two things combined really provided a lot of healing for me, but it was a few months after returning from the Ayahuasca Retreat that I took a class called Vaginal Kung Fu by Kim Anami.  And basically what this class did for me was give me the self-awareness that I have been seeking. So the Vipassana and the Ayahuasca provided a lot of healing. But with this Vaginal Kung Fu class- I came out of it thinking ‘I know who I am, I know what I want and I know how to get it.’ The class was a Taoist and Tantric approach to sex and sexuality. A lot more onion layers were removed through that. MK- You know what’s crazy? (laughing) I don’t think there is a center to the onion! I think it just keeps going…I think it’s infinite! NN- I know it sucks! (laughing)  So I had been exploring Tantra and a Taoist approach to sex for several years, but everything I came across- I kept feeling like that although there’s something here for me, I still haven’t found exactly what I’m looking for. This class finally gave me what I was looking for, it made it very simple. It was: utilize the breath, relax your muscles and ask questions about the feelings that are coming up. And when I finish that class, I had this huge epiphany that this is what I wanted to do with my life. I wanted to teach teens and young adults the concepts that I had been learning through Tantra and Taoism.  I just had this vision of orchestrating these workshops for teens and young adults that revolve around a conscious approach to sex, relationships and communication. So that is how Okay2BYou began. The whole goal of Okay2BYou is to one day do in-person workshops with teens and young adults. I knew I was nowhere near that. I knew that I was going to have to gain more experience and there were probably going to be more things that I would want to study, maybe more certifications before I put these workshops together. However, through the process of creating this coaching business, I applied to the Completion Process Program and ended up getting in.  MK- Do you work directly with Teal Swan? NN-  So I was trained by her… it was a pretty incredible experience. Now that I’m out of that program, I mostly have been working with people via Skype in Google Hangouts and what not. Lately, I’ve been attracting more clients that I work with in person. MK- Cool and so how does this tie in with the storytelling. Have you always been a wordsmith? NN- As you know, you and I met through storytelling. It was a hobby of mine that I loved and had been a powerful healing modality for me. Like I said, I wanted to do workshops with teens, but I wasn’t ready for the ‘conscious approach to sex workshops,’ but I wanted to do something. Then very synchronistically I ended up getting offered a guest teaching artist position at a Reason To Survive which is an after school arts program for adversity facing children and teens in National City. So I got a job there teaching storytelling workshops. The storytelling open mic was supposed to be for my students there and also part of my vision for Okay2BYou because I do believe that storytelling is so healing. So it complemented my work with my clients quite nicely.  MK- The thing is that we all tell stories and when you tell your story, you heal your heart…. For example, when I went to the storytelling event you hosted last week- I was so moved. I would say even more moved than in the ones that we have within our own community because these are younger people and there are even a few people with speech impediments. It was just so moving to see everyone opening up and sharing. I just imagine from an energetic perspective (in terms of the healing potential)- it’s huge. First of all everyone in the audience is sending you so much love and then you are opening your throat chakra… I know this sounds kind of woo woo- but those are profound shifts.  NN- We all want to be heard. We all have this piece of us that wants to be looked at and being onstage provide a platform for that, but many of us are not musicians, many of us do not write poetry, many of us do not sing and act. These are talents that are highly admired in our society, probably in most of the world. So many of us who do not express ourselves that way, tend to feel they have nothing that they can share. But when you go to a storytelling show, you realize that you can get up on stage, express yourself, tell your story and have that cathartic experience that you never thought you could have because you don’t play music or sing or act or whatever.  MK- Well I do some of those things and I still felt like it was a major opening for me.  NN- Well the thing I always say is: storytelling in some ways can be way more honest than poetry or music because with storytelling…  Let’s say you write a poem about feeling depressed. Yeah the audience can understand that that’s what you’re getting at and that is what you’re expressing, but when you tell the story you’re saying- “I was depressed, I was in darkness,” and that’s where I think a lot of the catharsis comes from, by expressing yourself so much more honestly.  You and I have both seen people go through these experiences where they come to a storytelling show and they think ‘I’ll just watch, I’m not going to get up…” MK- Yes! It’s amazing… even their posture changes. As they become more absorbed and comfortable… it’s almost like you forget what you’re doing because you’re just talking and of course almost everyone talks…  NN- And you can see it in their face, that feeling of- “I get to express myself in a safe place and people are  listening to me and accepting me for this.” You see that part of them come out that has been needing validation.  MK- That being said, I do feel that everyone is an artist. In my experience and I feel this very deeply… I believe drawing is like language. Everyone can draw, it’s just that we’re not taught how to see. There’s a really great book called ‘Drawing With The Right Side Of The Brain,’ it’s by Betty Edwards. I went through that book and then I could draw.  It’s funny the way I was drawn to that book, I had this kind of intuition that I’m an artist, I just don’t remember how to see. I know that I know, I just have to learn how to see again. Once I developed that thought, ‘I want to know how to see again.’  I actually asked… and when you ask- it is given! Once I clarified that thought and launched it into the cosmos, I ‘randomly’ found this book and went through it, becoming a pretty proficient draftsman. NN- With the idea that we’re all artists.. I completely agree. The interesting thing about storytelling is like I said, not everyone understands that concept. Not everyone believes that they are an artist. And when they get up on stage and start telling their story, they start chipping away at the block that’s telling them that they’re not an artist. I’ve seen people go through these transformations where it starts off with just storytelling, but next thing you know they are diving into different art modalities and experiencing and discovering their own unique flavor of art. MK- Absolutely! The truth is that we are all creators. If you look at all the great religions, past all the surface stuff- the truth is is that it’s about feeling worthy and loved. Ego is something that so many people battle with on the path of self-transformation…  where you are actually realizing if this (xyz) is my ego, who is the real me?  I think it’s because we have forgotten/forsaken our intrinsic worth as creators. We are master creators of our reality and then of course that kind of trickles down into all of the different modalities and ways in which we can express ourselves.  That’s my mission- to remind people or inspire them rather… that you can do anything that you want, if you put your mind to it. If you really want it, you can do it! It’s just that we’ve got to get out of our own way, we’ve got to put the critic to bed. We can try and fight the ego or we can just embrace who we really are and then all that other stuff just starts to fall away.  The comparisons stop, the insecurities…  When we have this perspective we are ALL conscious creators if we want to be… it just levels the playing field. There’s nothing more to prove… what’s to prove? You just do it because you want to do it.  NN- Totally. MK- I love what you are doing with the storytelling, it’s so moving… can you let people know how they can get in touch with you? NN- The website is a bit confusing with the spelling. It’s Okay2BYou.com  MK- That’s perfect. NN- Yeah, I loved the name so I went with it. It’s from this space that epiphanies and inspiration flow. I also believe that when we are operating from this place, we are at our best. We are peaceful, inspiring and kind to others. A sense of purpose is an abstract feeling that I would venture to say most of us are at least vaguely aware of.  But what exactly is our purpose? For some folks it’s easily defined, for others not so much. Perhaps our purpose is simply to play, learn and experience as Abraham Hicks explains. Well at least for me, some days having fun and following my highest excitement just doesn’t cut it. +Check out this Vibrational Science Podcast which provides an overview of Abraham Hicks concepts Earlier this week I was putting the final touches on my latest painting while wondering how my passion for painting was really linked to my purpose? Since I feel like I’m here to help raise the collective consciousness of humanity, how was I directly achieving that with painting? Ancient Earthling by M.Kiravell. Acrylic on Canvas. 36x24 My question launched into the cosmos and like a gift from above, I was struck by a random impulse to re-listen to the audio version of Seth Speaks. A few minutes of listening  provided the answer to my query.  Seth explains that when a painter taps into that meditative space and translates inspiration onto canvas, that painting reminds others of their own multi-dimensionality- their own cosmic-ness.  It stimulates a memory, a feeling perhaps of that place beyond this material world.  I was reminded that when we are inspired, we automatically inspire others. And when we feel uplifted and uplift others we are living our purpose. And when we are living our purpose, we feel fulfilled. Sometimes we forget this. I forget this more often than I care to admit. One of the beauties of life is that it’s never too late to get back into the zone. Join me for today’s meditation on feeling inspired and fulfilled by entering the vortex. Thanks for joining me:) Till next time, ~Meniyka ~Meditation transcript~ I love being in the zone. I love that feeling when all the sounds of this world fade away and I’m in a state of pure focus. I’m in a state where I’m not concerned about what I look like, what I’m doing, what’s going on with the people around me or what’s going on in the world because those things are always going to be going on.  Rather, I’m in this space of pure unadulterated focus. I’m in the zone… I’m in the vortex.  It’s peaceful and it’s quiet and even in this moment if I’m not there right now, I can remember a time when I have been there. Moreover, I can imagine myself being there. I can imagine what it’s like to just have pure inspiration and energy flowing through my mind in such a way that it slips into my consciousness and I just become a transmitter of it. I love that feeling of being an inspiration. If inspiration were a place…how magical would it be? There’s none of the “I” and the “ego.” There’s just an absorption in love and beauty and there’s peace and harmony everywhere.  It’s in this place that I don’t really have to do anything… just being who I am and just enjoying what I’m enjoying… by being in the flow…I’m automatically vibrating waves of energy that propagate through space and have an influence on the atmosphere and on those around me. Those vibrations are filled with peace and joy… and they’re egoless. Because in this space of focus, I’m not concerned with what it looks like and I’m not concerned with what I may look like… I’m not concerned with anything of the world.  I’m in the flow and I notice I feel fulfilled… there’s nothing lacking. I feel joyful, I feel inspired… and it’s easy.  I like knowing that I can enter the space anytime I want. I like knowing that I can remember what it was like and if that feels a little bit out of my grasp, I can imagine what it’s like.  I love knowing about the law of attraction and how the more I contemplate this, the more I attract it towards myself.  I’ve experimented with this.  I’ve been experimenting with it all my life… even when I wasn’t paying attention. But that’s the beauty of my memories… I can look back and I can see… that when I was in the zone and when it felt right, things flowed.  So I can see now how my power is really in my present.  In this moment I can choose to be inspired and I can choose to be in an inspiring place.  I can choose to feel good in my mind.  I can choose to feel fulfilled…. and by the beauty of this practice of feeling fulfilled, I’m automatically going to bring more activities, more people, more things into my life in the physical realm that will in turn bring me more feelings of fulfillment.  So every moment is up to me. I truly am the creator of my reality. I create my reality with my focus and consciousness. I love using this… it’s my most powerful tool in my bag of tricks. Whatever I want to feel, I imagine it in my mind first… what would it be like? I even love to come up with creative scenarios- of situations that would make me feel what I want to feel.  And the more passion and the more absorbed I am in that, the more quickly it manifests in my reality. The more powerfully I ask a question in my mind and imagine feeling the joy from the solution that I know is to come… the faster that solution comes.  I’m so blessed that I’m tuned into one of the most powerful cosmic principles of the universe. With this knowing comes such an immense sense of well-being, peace and security. If you haven’t checked it out, I highly recommend you do. The material is so cutting edge you are sure to have your mind blown into the cosmos. Prior to tuning into Gaia, I had just finished reading the Ra material, also known as the Law of One book, which in retrospect seemed to prepare me for everything I have learned in the last few months. I also highly recommend this especially if you already have some familiarity with books like Seth Speaks or the Nature of Personal Reality.  So what did Gaia TV do for me? It convinced me that science fiction is anything but fictional. Now, obviously I believe in extra terrestrials to some extent because that is where so much channeled material is supposedly derived from and logically speaking the Universe is infinite, but surprisingly it never really struck me until now just how close to home all of this stuff is. For instance Bashar, channeled by Darryl Anka, introduces himself as an extra terrestrial existing in the future.  The thing is- I never cared where Bashar was from. I just loved his message.  So until recently, that’s about as far as my train of thought went with it. I thought I was being practical because even if there are ETs floating about, how did it really make a difference in my day to day life? Well  let’s just say I’ve had a major shift in perspective. All of this ET business is incredibly relevant to all of us and that’s what we are digging into with today’s interview.  It turns out a friend of mine from San Diego, Megan Carl has been on multiple contact expeditions with Dr. Stephen Greer, one of the world’s leading proponents of disclosure. This week I had a chance to speak with Megan. Check out the transcribed interview below or listen to it on iTunes. Disclosure is a huge theme and it is so relevant to all of us even if we don’t realize it. Most of us are so involved in the nitty gritty of our personal lives that we don’t bother with what is going on at the highest levels of government and beyond.  While most of us acknowledge that corporations and the cabal have corrupted nearly every aspect of our lives from politics to media to food, it seems so overwhelming and deep rooted that we often just focus on what we can- getting by and if we are tuned in- getting spiritual. I’m convinced that the ‘powers that be’ (or really the powers that were…because they are on the way out) have been holding back the knowledge of the existence of ETs because they understand how their power will crumble if this information were to be released. Religions, current archaic technology, dirty energy would all be a thing of the past if what is really going on was disclosed to the masses. So as you can imagine, it’s in the cabals best interest to keep all of this under wraps. The thing is- people are waking up. Even Nasa and scientists have disclosed that waves of cosmic rays are reaching the Earth and are effecting our consciousness. It turns out that global warming has been happening on every planet in our solar system. Things are changing, so get ready and fasten your seat belt cause the ball is rolling and 2016 is going to be a pivotal year. ~ Interview Transcript ~ MK- I recently saw Sirius and it’s absolutely fascinating.  How did you get involved with Dr. Steven Greer’s work and what first drew you to ETs?   MC- Well I guess what first got me into it might be beyond my current knowledge… I may have had contact when I was a little kid, but I was really into unsolved mysteries and just anything paranormal that I heard about. I grew up in a society where that was definitely not real, but there’s something that really felt real to me about it and when people would share their experiences… I felt there was a truth to what they were saying. MK- It just really resonated with you. MC- Yeah, I just I knew I wanted to know more about it and so as I got older I started watching YouTube videos and conspiracy videos of people talking about things that weren’t talked about in the mainstream media. I ended up finding a bunch of videos that seemed really legitimate and at that same time I was realizing the state that our world was in and felt that ETs must be here to help us. It was just as an intuitive feeling that I had, so I started praying to them and asking them- “If you can help us, then please help us.” That was when I had my first ATV sighting- which is an extraterrestrial vehicle rather than an unidentified flying object. A different colored object appeared over my house, and my boyfriend at the time saw it and told me about it. It was just hovering there and flashing all these different colored lights and it was just within our atmosphere. We couldn’t figure out what it was. It came back a couple times and the last time it came back my boyfriend watched it fly out of the atmosphere. MK- Was this around the time where you found out about Steven Greer and reached out? MC- This was actually about a year before I knew who Dr. Steven Greer was. I found out about him when he started to promote his Sirius documentary and I was wondering why I had never heard of this guy before because he was really adamant about ET’s being benevolent and how connecting with them will help humanity. It just resonated with everything that I experienced and was feeling. MK- Nice.  How did you get involved with the expeditions? When was your first one and then if you can give us the scoop… what happened? MC- I had a contact experience prior to that and so that’s what really helped me dive in and  sign up for an expedition. So I knew what Dr. Greer was saying was legitimate (based on the following experience.)   My friends and I were in Peru and we meditated asking for them (ETs) to appear. Then a light appeared in the sky where there were no planes. None of us had ever seen anything like that. So I just kept in touch with Dr. Greer  and signed up for one of the expeditions and didn’t really know what to expect. I was really excited and nervous. It was in Arizona and it was in an undisclosed location. You are not supposed to share it with anybody because he has all sorts of stalkers and some people just try to show up wherever he’s at.  It was the most magical week I had ever experience and I really don’t know where to start!   MK- Because you had definitive contact! MC- Yes- definitive contact with a group of about 30 people and so to experience witnessing crafts come in with 29 other people was just…mindblowing! MK- Yeah! It’s like what more do you want right? Well because this is the Vibrational Science Podcast we have to talk about vibrations and anybody who listens knows that I’m a big believer in channeled material and I’ve talked expressly about Abraham Hicks and their perspective in the Ask And It’s Given book which was a huge New York Times bestseller. I guess what I’m leading up to here is that “skeptics,” from my perspective, will never experience ET contact because they are in fact skeptical.  It’s like most things in this universe and for some reason most of humanity doesn’t seem to have figured this out yet.  You have to actually ask,  you have to expect it and that’s just the way matter works on the quantum level. So you clearly wanted this with all of these people and then that combined with the power of the group… you all really wanted to experience contact and so you did! MC- We did! It wasn’t intense contact in the first couple nights, but as people got more comfortable and released some fears about contact with these interdimensional beings… contact happened a lot more.   MK- So what kind of contact did you experience? I ask because I think this universe is vibrational and we are vibrational- so I imagine that the ETs would make contact in a vibrational way… MC- Yeah they contacted us in all sorts of ways. They appeared as orbs and lights in the sky. So there’s one thing called flash bulbs which is like a star that flashes in and out of space. We also have a satellite chart when we are out there so we know whether or not it’s a satellite and we also know where all the satellites are and we check everything like this to make sure it’s not a satellite.   Flash bulbs are just a little way they can blip in and blip out of our third dimension.  Another common sighting is streakers which kind of looks like a shooting star, but they can be all sorts of colors- blue and red for instance, and sometimes they go in a trajectory that is not possible for a meteorite. So they do come out and they come out for us to trust them more so we will want to make more contact. MK-  Why do you think they want to contact us? MC- They are really benevolent loving beings and they know that we are a part of their family and they are excited about helping us to expand our consciousness. MK-  I heard a really nice analogy. I’m a huge environmentalist and before I really came to appreciate humanity, I was really just into the environment and animals and then I heard a beautiful quote by David Wilcock who said “If you really want to love the Earth- you have to love Earth’s people…” because we’re kind of a huge ecosystem and we humans are part of it. In the same way that many humans have this kind of nurturing concern and love for second density beings like plants and animals… it’s similar for extraterrestrials. These ETs are conscious beings who in a sense are more evolved- they have crazy technology, they have figured out how to warp space and time to travel through it…. they are more evolved and in a sense they feel the same way towards us that we feel towards the plants and animals of this planet. So they are here to maybe help us in the same way that you are suggesting. MC- Exactly. I think they want to welcome us into their family and also they are concerned about Earth and what we’re doing to her and so they they want to help us.  Anyone who has an intention to really help, expand consciousness, be more benevolent and do what they can to help us evolve- the ETs will be in contact with. MK- We’ve seen that. We’ve seen nuclear facilities shutdown and of course on the surface and in the corporate media you will never hear why these things are shut down. How did a French warship completely melt from the inside out to make it ‘un-sea worthy.’  How does that even happen? “Insiders” and people who believe in ETs and ET contact believe that the ETs have actually made an agreement to basically shut us down (in terms of nuclear technology). My understanding is that free will is the principal law of the universe because it is through free will and choice that we can experience and grow and that is why not everything is given to us on a silver platter and that’s why we are not explicitly told “This is the way the universe works or this is what’s going on…” MC- We have to choose it… MK- Absolutely. There is a veil of forgetfulness that is part of our evolution and it’s for that reason that ETs and beings from other densities or dimensions- whatever you want to call them don’t interfere, but they’ve made an exception when it comes to nuclear war and nuclear energy because apparently on the quantum level- it’s so destructive and not only is it destructive in our reality, but it actually ‘butterfly effects’ into different dimensions and  different zones of energy in the universe so they (ETs) have actually stepped in. MC- Totally right… MK- Do you think disclosure is coming soon? MC- Yes definitely and my world is filled with people who readily accept this information, but Dr. Greer is making moves to make disclosure happen on a governmental level. MK- So for the people who haven’t seen Sirius- they talked about it a little bit… MC- There is a guy Steve Alten who I was actually on an expedition with in Florida-  he came, he’s a New York Times best selling author and he’s writing a fictional book that’s based on Dr. Greer’s story and he’s also creating a screenplay for a movie. So there’s that and it sounds like to me, I don’t know for sure of course… that our government is ready to disclose this information. It’s just inevitable. MK- So many have come out. So many have come forward like Nasa employees, Air Force sergeants and then in the movie weren’t there like 100 folks with the highest clearance who came forward…. MC- Yeah over 100!  One thing he told us on my last expedition is that he taught the French government how to do ET contact.  He spent a week with them- with a bunch of top French government officials and the reason why other countries haven’t stepped aboard is because they have so many imports and exports with America. America is the country that is trying to prohibit this information and prohibit us from connecting us with ETs because we are in bed with the oil industry. MK- It’s so bizarre to me because my understanding is that ETs have offered us free energy. After all that is how they travel- it’s not like they have to go back to their home base and dig up a bunch of carbon and fuel! Of course people have said we have reverse-engineered their technology, but they have also apparently given us free energy as an option. They have said  “Look you don’t need nuclear energy for planet Earth.” MC- They want to help us and they want to help the Earth because it’s a conscious being within our shared universe. Yes, it’s ridiculous… it’s just the cabal- the secret society that is in power and wants to control everything… MK- They don’t want things to change because that’s how they make their money. They are kind of like energy vampires- and physical vampires actually because they really will suck you dry! But anyway we don’t focus on that because whatever you think about, whatever you believe in- is what you get more of!  We don’t want to have our heads in the sand, but we also don’t want to become pessimistic fanatics…because you really can! If you get into the Illuminati and all that stuff- it’s a slippery slope and I’d rather just focus on the positive. I’m aware of the negative stuff but I don’t want to be hyper-focused on that. It doesn’t feel good. MC- Oh yeah! And there is so much hope… connecting with ETs is one way that we can evolve and disclosure is inevitable…We can’t be on this track forever. MK- Absolutely. It is inevitable. MC- And so many good things are happening…. MK- When you are not scoping out ETs or going on expeditions. What are you up to? MC-  Right now I’m working on an app that bridges the Gregorian calendar- our current time tracking system with the 13 moon calendar of natural time. And this 13 moon calendar of natural time is based on one of the Mayan calendars and it’s just a more harmonic time tracking system.  It’s 13 months of 28 days each, so 4 equal weeks in each month and that’s 364 days of the solar year. MK- This is actually the calendar that we used to use (back in the day)… MC- It was and you know I just saw that the Bolivian president saying he wants their country to go back to the 13 moon calendar. MK- Right on. MC- It might be a little different, I’m actually not sure… I know that we followed some kind of 13 moon calendar. Jose Argueyas is the guy that adapted this calendar and made one that would fit all cultures that we could synch up on and then there is one day out of time (the 365th day.) MK- Beautiful! So what does the app do? MC- The app is going to help people bridge the Gregorian calendar to the 13th moon calendar and schedule their lives to the 13 moon calendar. MK- Oh so kind of a transition app… MC- Yeah… it’s also going to have daily affirmations relating to Mayan astrology. MK- Ooooh…we should talk about the Mayan ETs! But first why don’t you give everyone your URL? MC- Sure it’s www.oraplanner.com MK- Cool. I’ll check that out as well. Have you heard about how the Mayans were contacted by ETs? MC- I have! You know they have a ton of crazy artifacts and a whole museum in Peru… MK- I’ve seen some pictures… Oh! One thing we did not mention is that when we talk about ETs…it’s commonly accepted amongst people who have had contact and those who follow this fascinating subject- that ETs are humans and that human form is part of the evolutionary process. So no matter where you are in the universe on your evolutionary path- no matter what planet- generally you are going to be in human form or hominid form by the time you get to this (our) stage. MC- Yes it’s so cool! We are like ‘ape’ humans, but there are ETs that are like dolphin humans, cat humans…. MK-  So I think this is important to illuminate because people think of aliens from the movies or something- creepy beings and such, but majority are hominids- humans apparently. I myself have not had direct contact… if you tune in, you know that I channel (intuitively derive) a lot of my art and music, but I have not had as far as I know…full on ET contact where I have seen some physical manifestation. But going back to the Mayans- I’ve seen some paintings and it’s interesting because you can tell there are human Mayans (from Earth) and then there are these beings where their skull is shaped different or they are a lot larger or something like that… it’s pretty fascinating. Meditation doesn’t have to be complicated or boring.  Meditation is about contemplating a topic. If it’s a positive topic we are considering, then thinking about it will make us feel good. In order to contemplate anything and give our attention to it, first we have to let go of our other trains of thought and make space in our minds by gently re-directing our focus. For the next 5-10 minutes, we are going to delve into our inner world by actually taking our hands off the steering wheel!  There is no need to control or force anything. Give yourself permission to just kick back for a few minutes and you may be surprised by the outcome. After a mellow meditation like this, inspiration and all sorts of ideas and solutions have space to take root in our minds because to the best of our ability, we are putting our biases, beliefs and opinions on pause.  I encourage you to leave your expectations at the door as well and just go with the flow.  All you have to do is sit back and enjoy the ride. Om Shanti For the next few minutes, I’m going to put aside any concerns or things I have to do and allow the well-being and the being that is me experienced.  It feels good to know that when I give myself the space, this time to just be me… that the energy that makes up and surrounds everything in this reality is allowed to flow through me in a way that’s very healing for me. Because the truth is that my body knows what to do! My body has infinite intelligence. Scientists don’t fully know how the body really works. So I’m going to let my body and everything do what it needs to do- by just not getting involved, by not thinking about it, by not meddling. Wellness flows through me and  all I have to do is kick back and let it do it’s thing.  It’s in this space that I’m receptive to inspiration. It’s in this space that I’m not intervening with anything that my body needs to do. It’s in the space that… the wellness can flow. When I take a timeout, when I take a step back like this and just be… Just breathing in and out and experiencing the natural quietness that exists within my mind- then I know that all is well. Well-being is my natural state. I am an extension of all that is and I can create any reality I want by directing my thoughts.  It feels nice to me, to be here where it’s quiet. It feels nice not to be caught up in everything else outside. It’s really simple in here and I like that. I have only one agenda here and that’s  just to be. To relax, to kickback, to enjoy, to select the thoughts that float in front of my mind and choose the ones that resonate- the ones that feel good. If they are useless or boring, I just let them pass. I feel inspired to think thoughts that feel good to me in here.  Inspiration is a beautiful thing because there is a natural energy in inspiration. I don’t have to try with inspiration. Even with motivation I have to try, there is effort with that- and I love knowing that.  When I give myself a chance to be and not just do- then that inspiration comes and I love that! It’s free energy- it’s great. There’s a whole world… inside, here in my mind. From here is the launching pad. Once my mind is clear in this space- this is the launching pad! I can think, I can imagine, I can feel, I can make plans, I have access to all the inspiration where anything is possible. But in order to have access to that, I have to give myself room to breathe, I have to give myself a break. Time to just be.  I like knowing that it’s up to me. And I’m eager to experience the inspirations and the epiphanies that come in this space. I equally just enjoy the mental time out and the break from doing. I like knowing so much that well-being is my natural state and that I can access it  almost anytime I want.  It’s with this optimistic state of mind with which I’m going to interact with outside world.  All is well, all is well for me. Our ability to focus and give our attention to something is perhaps mankind’s greatest gift.  It’s this ability to control our focus that can make our mind our best friend or our worst enemy. Much of the Vibrational Science approach to creating a happy healthy state of mind is based on meditation practices, visualization and positive thinking that exercise our ability to focus.  A common question I get is: ‘How long is it worth focusing on something?’  Other similar questions include: ’How do I know if something is worth my attention at all? For instance, what about my health concerns… my aches and pains? Shouldn’t I focus on those to understand what the problem is and where it all began? Even if some subjects don’t feel good, shouldn’t I get them sorted and face the facts?’ Today we’re going to nip these questions in the bud by taking the Abraham Hicks approach for determining how detailed one should ideally get in their mind regarding any train of thought or subject before our attention to it becomes it’s own problem.  The guideline is to get as specific and involved as you can in a memory, observation or ‘imagining’ while it still feels good. If what you are conjuring in your mind fills you with pleasant feelings then you are on the right path, if it stops feeling good and starts to worry or stress you out then know that you need to take a step back from the details and go more general in your thinking.  So the suggestion isn’t to necessarily drop the subject all together, but to simply drop the details and look at the big picture… in Abraham speak this is what it means to go general. Perhaps this concept still sounds a bit vague so let’s consider the following example. Let’s say I’m on the lookout for a new home and my goal with my new visualization meditation is to imagine my ideal living environment.   At first I start thinking about how I feel in my perfect home. There is so much light, it feels spacious… it’s also quiet and safe. Perhaps, I imagine how I love the neighborhood in a certain area and how close it is to my work. But then my thoughts take a turn and I start thinking about how homes in that neighborhood are so expensive and that I couldn’t afford a house in that particular place, let alone rent there. In fact as far as I know, there aren’t any rentals in that neighborhood! As you can see the train of thought above started out fairly lighthearted and optimistic, but then  as we started getting more specific we started to take a turn by burying ourself in what most would consider to be practical details.  ‘The neighborhood we want is too expensive for what we believe we know of that area’ and so on and so forth. This is where we could instead gently guide our thoughts away from the specifics and back into more general ideas about our ideal home and how that makes us feel. In other words, stick to how the home makes you feel with the space, the quiet, the lovely neighbors etc. The whole point of an imagining is to make it the way you want in your mind! Abraham calls this process scripting. The goal is to go as far as you can go with possibilities and what you want until it pushes the boundaries of your current belief system. You’ll know when you hit your limits because the idea simply doesn’t feel as good as the previous thoughts did. The way ‘Vibrational Sciences’ and the cosmic flow of the Universe works is based on the feelings and energy we emit 24/7. Energy at the quantum level doesn’t care if what we think about is practical or not, or how realistic  or true we think something is. It simply responds to how we feel about it. If we feel good about something and are resistance free about it, then some version of that something will invariably flow to us in some optimal form one way or another.  However, if we have a lot of resistance about it in the form of doubts for example (no matter how practical we think we are being,) we are just making it so that matching energy flows to us to give us the match of what we are emitting. In the case above, if we were to continue with that train of thought, we would find that every house in our search within this particular neighborhood would in fact be out of our budget. As Abraham would say, don’t worry about ‘the how’ or the details. Know what you want and get as specific as you can as long as it feels good. Don’t allow your energy to take a turn getting caught up in specifics because then you end up creating a reality that is limited based on the limits you impose with your feelings and beliefs. If you think something is impossible or difficult then it will be. Practically speaking, if you think something is impossible you will likely give up all together. In other words, you literally will not see the possibilities because you are closed off to them in your mind and thus with your perception and resulting actions. However, If you think something is possible then it is. And if you stay open and positive then you will be more perceptive to the opportunities that are out there. You will be energetically and ‘subconsciously’ open to the options that are a match for your energy. Case in point: people DO win the lottery. If the winner felt it was impossible, they never would have bought the ticket that turned out to be a winner. Much of the Vibrational Science approach to creating a happy healthy state of mind is based on meditation practices, visualization and positive thinking that exercise our ability to focus.  A common question I get is: ‘How long is it worth focusing on something?’  Other similar questions include: ’How do I know if something is worth my attention at all? For instance, what about my health concerns… my aches and pains? Shouldn’t I focus on those to understand what the problem is and where it all began? Even if some subjects don’t feel good, shouldn’t I get them sorted and face the facts?’ Today we’re going to nip these questions in the bud by taking the Abraham Hicks approach for determining how detailed one should ideally get in their mind regarding any train of thought or subject before our attention to it becomes it’s own problem. The guideline is to get as specific and involved as you can in a memory, observation or ‘imagining’ while it still feels good. If what you are conjuring in your mind fills you with pleasant feelings then you are on the right path, if it stops feeling good and starts to worry or stress you out then know that you need to take a step back from the details and go more general in your thinking.  So the suggestion isn’t to necessarily drop the subject all together, but to simply drop the details and look at the big picture… in Abraham speak this is what it means to go general. Perhaps this concept still sounds a bit vague so let’s consider the following example. Let’s say I’m on the lookout for a new home and my goal with my new visualization meditation is to imagine my ideal living environment.  At first I start thinking about how I feel in my perfect home. There is so much light, it feels spacious… it’s also quiet and safe. Perhaps, I imagine how I love the neighborhood in a certain area and how close it is to my work. But then my thoughts take a turn and I start thinking about how homes in that neighborhood are so expensive and that I couldn’t afford a house in that particular place, let alone rent there. In fact as far as I know, there aren’t any rentals in that neighborhood! As you can see the train of thought above started out fairly lighthearted and optimistic, but then  as we started getting more specific we started to take a turn by burying ourself in what most would consider to be practical details.  ‘The neighborhood we want is too expensive for what we believe we know of that area’ and so on and so forth. This is where we could instead gently guide our thoughts away from the specifics and back into more general ideas about our ideal home and how that makes us feel. In other words, stick to how the home makes you feel with the space, the quiet, the lovely neighbors etc. The whole point of an imagining is to make it the way you want in your mind! Abraham calls this process scripting. The goal is to go as far as you can go with possibilities and what you want until it pushes the boundaries of your current belief system. You’ll know when you hit your limits because the idea simply doesn’t feel as good as the previous thoughts did. The way ‘Vibrational Sciences’ and the cosmic flow of the Universe works is based on the feelings and energy we emit 24/7. Energy at the quantum level doesn’t care if what we think about is practical or not, or how realistic  or true we think something is. It simply responds to how we feel about it. If we feel good about something and are resistance free about it, then some version of that something will invariably flow to us in some optimal form one way or another.  However, if we have a lot of resistance about it in the form of doubts for example (no matter how practical we think we are being,) we are just making it so that matching energy flows to us to give us the match of what we are emitting. In the case above, if we were to continue with that train of thought, we would find that every house in our search within this particular neighborhood would in fact be out of our budget. As Abraham would say, don’t worry about ‘the how’ or the details. Know what you want and get as specific as you can as long as it feels good. Don’t allow your energy to take a turn getting caught up in specifics because then you end up creating a reality that is limited based on the limits you impose with your feelings and beliefs. If you think something is impossible or difficult then it will be. Practically speaking, if you think something is impossible you will likely give up all together. In other words, you literally will not see the possibilities because you are closed off to them in your mind and thus with your perception and resulting actions. However, If you think something is possible then it is. And if you stay open and positive then you will be more perceptive to the opportunities that are out there. You will be energetically and ‘subconsciously’ open to the options that are a match for your energy. Case in point: people DO win the lottery. If the winner felt it was impossible, they never would have bought the ticket that turned out to be a winner. Again, as best as you can, make a choice to move through life doubt free, carefree, positive and inspired and universal energies will match your energy with a reality that is the equivalent. Most of us choose to meditate because it feels pretty good. It’s nice to just take a mental time out and be. It turns out that meditation does more than allow us to feel good however. It allows our corks to float and the stream of well being to flow through us. The cork analogy for meditation is a fantastic one I picked up from Abraham Hicks.  Abraham describes how there is a stream of well being that is our natural state to be a part of, yet how often times we end up distancing ourselves from that stream by pinching ourselves off because of resistant thinking. +In case you aren’t up to speed with Abraham Hicks’ teachings or need a refresher, check out this Vibrational Science Podcast which provides an overview of the foundational concepts. Or if you are looking for a new book, consider Abraham Hicks’ best seller ‘Ask &amp; It Is Given.  I can’t recommend it enough!  When we are in a state of resistance- which is essentially a state of mind that doesn’t feel very good, we are holding our cork under water.  Because a cork’s nature is to bob up to the surface and float, when we take a break from concerns, worry and negative or unproductive states of mind, we let go of resistance thus allowing our cork to float. In this state, well being, healing and positive manifestations that we want can begin to take place. There are myriad types of meditation. My personal experience is with a Zen Buddhist form of meditation where you observe your thoughts and do your best to let them pass in a state of detachment while focusing on your breath. Raja Yoga Meditation is another type of meditation that I’ve practiced for going on 20 years. This form is very much about pro-active positive thinking that takes you into a heightened vibrational state where silent experience eventually replaces the stream of thoughts. Today’s meditation is a combination- where we are going to breathe and do our best to let go of and release any external influences, concerns or worries and insert positive thoughts.  We are going to just go for it and enjoy the quiet and silence. This is the state where it’s less about building momentum. For example with a visualization meditation we can really get our passionate juices flowing and bring about some powerful manifestations. Instead, in today’s meditation we are going to allow our cork to float by breathing, relaxing and incorporating some light positive contemplation. In this way, we allow the stream of well being to flow through us and in a sense carry us downriver.  So put down the oars of effort, we are going to idly travel with the natural energetic current of wellbeing!  You may keep your eyes open or closed and sit in any position that is most comfortable for you. I’m going to let go of any external concerns, identities, or things I have to do. There’s always going to be more to do. There’s always going to be more to think and there will always be things if I wanted to be- to be concerned about. But I don’t have to be… it’s a choice. I’m going to give myself this gift. This gift of letting go. This gift of allowing the well being to flow through me. This gift of quiet and lightness. When I just chill out, which is all this is… I’m just chilling out. I’m just letting whatever needs to be- be. Whatever anyone else has to do- do. This is my time-out. This is my time to chill out. And in this space I can feel this sweet calm that is within my reach. It’s in this space that I can hear the birds chirping. I can appreciate those little things… those seemingly little things that I often take for granted that just blend into the background. What’s so beautiful about this is that the more I return to this space… this chill out space- the more I seem to appreciate and notice all those things… and they really brighten my day. When I was a busy bee, I had a hard time appreciating nature. But now… now I can appreciate it. It’s like I’m just getting a taste, a glimpse- of all there is… all around me…all the time. The air I breathe, the little creatures and critters flying and floating around in my environment. Even if I’m in an urban landscape, there are always beautiful birds and flowers. Now I understand what they mean by: take time to smell the roses. The more I return to this quiet space in my mind where I set concerns and things to do and my opinions about stuff, I just let it all go for these few minutes. And then I’m drawn to the roses. When I feel good I’m drawn to that which makes me feel good. Cause everything is energy. Like attracts like… and I like this train of thought right now. It’s really logical that the more time I spend here just relaxing and enjoying the sweet epiphanies showing up in my stream of consciousness…the more kind of like experiences I keep drawing to me. It’s truly fantastic. I love this space, I feel so good here. And what I would really like to do to extend this gift to myself is do something I really enjoy. Something that’s on the same vibration as this. Perhaps I’ll listen to this meditation again, perhaps I’ll try it on my own, perhaps I’ll go for a walk and just smell the roses and listen to the birds. Because the truth is there is more to life than just going and doing. We are human beings after all. I’m a human being. « Being » being the operative word! Well it’s pretty incredible that it’s up to me. If I want to be in this state of mind, I could do that- that’s  my choice.  I don’t have to be concerned about things, I could just have the faith that things are going to work out. Because honestly when I look back over my life I’m still here. If I couldn’t heal something on my own, if I didn’t see the solution, I have found that time tempers things. Things generally seem to work out. If one thing isn’t going right- the truth is- 99 other things are. And I like this attitude, I like feeling that everything is going to work out. I don’t have to get all worked up over anything really. If someone told me ahead of time- things are going to come and go in your life, some are gonna seem good, some are not gonna seem so good, but guess what… It’s always going to work out. How might I change? How might I change my way of thinking and my way of being internally? I think I would spend more time here… relaxing, enjoying and contemplating these philosophical thoughts that just calm me down and allow me to appreciate that which is around me that is natural and beautiful and here for my pleasure. All I have to do is take a breath, breathe it out and smell the roses. Rita and I met back in 2009 in Sydney Australia when I signed up for her Bowen class.  It turns out we had heaps in common from iridology to qi gong to similar philosophies on holistic living! It’s been truly inspiring to see the kind of work Rita has been doing all over the world especially with her voluntary teaching fund where she visits children abroad offering treatments and education. In today’s interview Rita shares with us the power behind Bowen Therapy, TRE and distance healing. We talk about how these modalities work and the kinds of results she sees regularly. We also dig into volunteering abroad and how she got started in the fascinating world of holistic care.  MK– Hi Rita! Thanks for joining us today! RHS– I’m very grateful that I have this opportunity to talk with you. It’s been so long since we spoke! MK– It has been so long!…So Rita, Bowen Therapy is probably a new term and modality for many people here in the States. It’s not nearly as known as say acupuncture or chiropractic care. Can you tell us a bit about Bowen’s history, what exactly Bowen is and how it works? RHS– Yes, actually Bowen Therapy has been around for quite a long time. Mr Bowen, Thomas Bowen, lived between 1916 to 1982. This year is actually his 100 year birth anniversary, so it’s a perfect time for this interview in order to express our gratitude to this man. Thomas Bowen developed the Bowen Technique in Jilong, Victoria in Australia and after serving in the WWII, he became interested in ways to alleviate human suffering and began to notice that certain moves on the body had particular effects. Bowen was extremely busy in his clinic. He was verified by the 1975 Victorian government inquiry into alternative health care professionals.  The study documented that Bowen was seeing some 13,000 patients per year as assessed over a 27 week period. So considering treatments were given 7 days apart and most people only needed 2 or 3 treatments. That was an amazing number of clients per year. MK– As you mentioned, Bowen is done only once a week on average. When I received my first Bowen treatment…  the person who offered it to me had offered me the option of reflexology or Bowen while suggesting I get a Bowen treatment for my particular condition. Since I didn’t know what it was, I tried the reflexology first, but it didn’t work.  I came back the next week and and decided to give Bowen a go.  He gave me the treatment and within 24 hours I felt as good as new! It was unbelievable! I was still skeptical however and so I came back the next week with a friend who had a problem. I’ll share more about that later, but now people are probably wondering what is Bowen? RHS– Well simply stated the Bowen technique allows the body to reset and heal itself. The work consists of a series of gentle rolling connective tissue moves and there are frequent important pauses between these moves which give the body time to integrate and benefit from each set (of moves.) So it’s actually tapping into the intelligence of the body itself and frequently results in a deep sense of overall relaxation. MK– I think that (the relaxation) is actually the magic of Bowen. After I got my Bowen certification from you and the other trainers in Australia, I got my massage certification here in California and what I found is that compared to most massages, with the exception of a few like parasympathetic massage for example, Bowen puts people into such a relaxed state. The parasympathetic state is where most  healing takes place and because Bowen gently brings this state about… I feel this is what makes Bowen so powerful. It’s just simple little moves- almost as if the Bowen practitioner is turning off different light switches all around the body and the person just goes into the deepest state of relaxation so they can heal. RHS– Yes, I think you have a very good analogy about that. The restorative process begins once the body is relaxed and continues as the body allows. So healing seems to occur by affecting the bodies autonomic nervous system which creates homeostasis at the cellular level. We believe that the work (Bowen work) actually taps into the DNA of the cells and the cells then remember their own function. If your body has the resources available, I really believe that it can heal itself and I have witnessed it since the day I began. It was 1996 when I got fully qualified as a practitioner. It’s amazing. MK– It is amazing. When I went to that practitioner, he was in Lenox head, New South Whales. I had been on the road for around two years backpacking and surfing around the world. But I wasn’t able to keep on top of my health and nutrition as much as I would have liked. So when I went to him I had the beginning stages of IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome.) Of course I wasn’t exactly sure, I just knew that my digestion wasn’t great and I had a lot of abdominal pain, so it could have been a reproductive issue for example, but my gut feeling was that it was IBS. In any case, after one Bowen treatment, the chronic pain that I had had for months was gone. Previously, I had mentioned that I returned to Lenox Head with a friend for another treatment because I was still skeptical. I thought that maybe my treatment was a weird fluke because a person just cannot understand how bizarre a Bowen treatment session is until they get one! It is so gentle, you can hardly feel most of the moves and between each move is a 2-5 minute break. It’s not odd to wonder if the practitioner is even doing anything. So like I said- I was kind of skeptical and returned the following week with my friend who had an eye twitch. Her eye had been twitching for months. It was some kind of nervous tic. She had one Bowen treatment and it was gone! Afterward, I thought to myself- ‘This is freaky! I have to find out more about this Bowen.’ Then I did and eventually it brought me back to the United States and many miraculous experiences followed. RHS– Yes, I must say the Bowen practitioner is merely a catalyst setting the stimulus in motion for the body to heal itself. Because the human body is so amazing, self healing can be achieved with minimal outside influence. If you do go for a Bowen treatment and you feel the practitioner isn’t doing anything on you, just be patient and relax and listen to your body. It’s simply a life changing experience. MK– You do more than Bowen though and in the last few years you have gotten into Trauma Release Exercises. Can you tell us about TRE? RHS– A little over 2 years ago, I got an email from our Bowen Association Australia which is an association for all registered Bowen practitioners and they were promoting the TRE course. Like you, I didn’t know anything about it, but I liked what I read.  As I myself have committed to continual self education, I took the course and never looked back. TRE stands for tension or trauma released exercises. It’s a series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension, and trauma. +Doctor David Batilly actually lives in the USA and he is the founder of TRE. I attended his workshops in Australia here and I was deeply moved by the way he facilitated people removing their traumatic experiences. During one of the workshops I actually asked him about my peculiar responses when I practiced TRE. I was puzzled about why I always had a little tickle in my throat and had to cough. I reckoned that my lungs were perfectly healthy- I didn’t have any cold or flu or any reason for a cough, but any time I practiced TRE at that time I would have this cough. So I asked him and he actually helped me through that. It dated back to my near drowning experience when I was only a few years old. The responses during that session was like a repeat of my  drowning experiences, how I got pulled out from the sea, dragged to the beach, and then recovered my breathing. That is where the cough came from. It was fascinating. MK– That’s cellular memory. We often don’t realize that energy has it’s own kind of consciousness and our body stores those memories- it’s not just in our minds and memories (brain), it’s in our cells.  I know that tapping and the emotional freedom technique for example are also really useful for releasing trauma and those cellular memories associated with trauma. RHS– Yes, I believe that TRE actually helped to release that cellular memory because our body cells remember everything! Everything since we were conceived! MK– Yup! Everything is energy. That’s actually what I wanted to talk about next. You’ve done a bit of distant healing with Bowen, I’m not sure if you can do it with TRE also, but can you talk about how distance healing works in terms of the modalities you practice and how that ties into energy medicine and healing? RHS– My first experience of distant healing was actually through my Qi Gong training in Hong Kong. I flew from Sydney to Hong Kong upon a recommendation to learn Qi Gong. In our introductory class back in 1996, a fellow student was relating her own personal experience. She lived in Canada and had terminal cancer. She said that she was extremely weak and her sister in Hong Kong who had learned Qi Gong asked her to put a jug of water in her room in Canada while her sister in Hong Kong would send cosmic healing energy to the water for her to drink daily. So she would drink the water every day and then tip the unfinished portion into the garden bed just outside window. Anyway, after a month or so she was well enough to attend a Qi Gong class and she observed that the plants that got the tipped water grew much taller and healthier than the same plants next to them. So that was really fascinating to hear. MK– Wow that’s a great story. RHS– Yeah it is! Anyhow, after my Qi Gong training I went back to Sydney and a friend of mine in her late 50’s, she lives about 45 minutes away from me and she broke her rib bone and fractured her ankle and was plastered up. We were curious about how distant healing would help her so we arranged that every night at 9pm she would be lying quietly in her bed while I sent cosmic energy to her via Qi Gong.  After a few weeks, her doctor was amazed how fast her bones healed. That was my first practice of distance healing. Just a few months ago- Zara in the Philippines, she’s my Bowen student, used Viber to text me and told me that she was having intense pain. I discovered that she was actually at the hospital staying overnight under observation for a potential gall bladder removal operation because she was in such a lot of pain. So I suggested to her to lie quietly while I did the surrogate Bowen gall bladder procedure on her. Bare in mind that I was at my home in Sydney and she was in the Philippines. As the procedure went on she reported various sensations went through her body and at the end of the session she felt less pain. The next day she said she had a good night sleep and the doctor decided she didn’t have to have the gall bladder removed. MK– That’s absolutely fantastic!  I too have countless miraculous Bowen and energy healing stories….well I guess I’ll have to share this really quickly on the reason I moved back to the United States. In 2010 I was planning on setting up in Australia to go to school and continue my holistic studies. But my mom had become really ill. She had had migraines on and off throughout her life, but in the last couple of years they had become really severe. I had told her about Bowen and although she had tried nearly every therapy from allopathic medicine to all of the popular holistic therapies, she didn’t try Bowen because she wasn’t familiar with it. So I ended up returning home to treat her after receiving an urgent call from my younger brother telling me how ill she was and that I had to return home to see if I could help her. I gave her one Bowen treatment a week and weaned her off the cocktail of medications the doctors had given her. She was on 9 different medications including a really high dosage of neurontin which is used for seizures as far as I know. And of course the cocktail of drugs were all contradicting each other. One was an upper, one was a downer, one took you to the left, another to the right. Within three weeks (of Bowen treatments spaced one week apart), my mother who had been let go of from her 30 year job at her hospital, was nearly headache free. She was finally able to come out into the sunshine.  People who have horrible headaches can’t usually be in the light, they have to stay in darkness- it’s that painful. In any case, her turn around was so miraculous that she became a Bowen practitioner and that’s what my mom does now. +My moms awesome story in Mind Body Medicine RHS– How gorgeous, that’s wonderful! MK– It is wonderful because she is 70 years old and she could be retired but she has a part time practice as a Bowen practitioner which is fantastic. My point though is that so much is magical from Bowen to Qi Gong and all of these modalities have so much potential, but it all comes down to energy.  I really feel that the power of a modality is really enhanced when the person receiving is open. When they want to change and heal, when they are willing and accepting. Because nothing is more powerful than a person’s mind. It’s all about the energy. Ok- well we are running short on time, but I want to find out about your voluntary teaching. How has that been going? Where have you been going in the world and what does that involve? RHS– Well, I always want to give back and when I was 7 years old my dad had his first stroke that paralyzed his left side of the body. We were very poor, we lived in Hong Kong- not long after the second world war, and we were so poor we couldn’t even afford seeing the doctor. My uncle was an herbalist and worked in a charity organization that gave free consultations in Chinese Medicine. As a little kid I had the errand of getting the medicine for my dad on a daily basis. After 6 months my father could walk again with a cane, so I think that sowed the seed in me to help others in a similar manner. I did my first voluntary Bowen teaching in Cambodia in 2008 and my goal was to teach these people so they could can take the technique back to their provinces where they had no medical access. Since then I’ve taught at Bantay Bata in the Philippines which is a shelter for abused children and orphans. I also give presentations at various organizations when I travel overseas and now many of my students in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and the Philippines are doing amazing voluntary Bowen treatments to help the locals. I’m really grateful that my dream of helping others around the world has gradually come into reality. It’s not directly through me, but the power of teaching is just so amazing and humbling. When we share the same vision and mission of helping others as a unit, we can make a difference one person at a time. MK– Oh absolutely. That’s why I do this. I’ve just been gifted in so many ways by so many people with so much knowledge and so many fascinating amazing mind blowing techniques that I want to pay it forward. I’ve been on an Abraham Hicks kick since the turn of the new year and the material has really deepened my understanding of what it means to be a creator of my reality. Channeled by medium Esther Hicks, Abraham is a collective conscious personality that imparts invaluable wisdom on how to feel better and become a deliberate creator in one fell swoop. Today I’m sharing one of their principal processes that brings improved circumstances from a ‘feel better’ mindset. Before we delve in, let’s go over a few of the premises the Abraham method is based on. 1.  The first premise is that everything is made of energy and vibration on the quantum level. This includes thoughts, feelings, matter and material objects. This is pretty much quantum mechanics 101. 2. The second premise is based on the Law of Attraction which essentially states that vibrations of ‘like’ frequencies are attracted to one another.  Because like is attracted to like, energy in any form has a tendency to build momentum. 3. The third premise is that we emit vibrations when we focus on something. Specifically, what we think about and how we feel about that which we think about is what we vibrate.  These vibrations propagate from us and in turn attract other energies of similar vibration because the Law of Attraction is always at work.  In other words, we are always broadcasting vibrations and attracting thoughts, feelings, things, people, places, situations and so on that are of a ‘like’ frequency. 4. Lastly, our five physical senses are vibrational interpreters that allow us to interpret incoming vibration.  To better understand this concept, we can consider how vibrations like sound waves travel through the atmosphere and are interpreted by our ears into another vibration we can understand. Similarly, a radio picks up broadcasted frequencies, translates them into sound waves, which our ears then interpret and translate into audio we can recognize. Abraham points out we have a 6th vibrational interpreter at our disposal which we can use to to figure out our vibrational stance i.e the kind of vibrations we are sending out and broadcasting at any given moment. They refer to this one as our emotional guidance system. And alas we have arrived at the process I want to share with you.  How to feel better using our emotional guidance system and why we want to use it to determine our vibrational stance. To kick things off, let’s start with why we want to use our emotional guidance system.   We know that whatever we vibrate via our focus (thoughts and feelings) will bring us more of the same in our reality. So we can either wait till whatever we have been vibrating manifests physically or we can catch the direction of our vibrational momentum by paying attention to the way we feel.  *Feelings are actually our first tangible manifestation of our vibrational stance. I know this sounds too simple and obvious, but ask yourself how many times could things have played out differently if you simply paid more attention to the way you felt early on? In the early stages, our emotions are less charged and so what we feel is is easier to overlook or ignore. Here’s another perspective on why determining our vibrational stance is so important. Have you ever made changes to leave a relationship or a job only to find yourself living out essentially the same story or pattern again and again?  This is because the details of your life can change- places and faces, but unless you shift your vibrational stance i.e. the way you feel, you can’t expect the essence of those experiences to change. This is why we want to use our emotional guidance system to determine how we feel about something from the get-go.  If we feel good about it then we know that in that moment our vibe is positive and in relationship to that subject in particular we will attract more good stuff. Speaking of good stuff,  here’s how to use your emotional guidance system to feel better- When we don’t feel good about something we can: 1. Switch our focus to something that feels better using will power, meditation or breaking the momentum entirely by going to sleep.  Remember, the earlier you catch something feeling off- the better! +Check out the Vibrational Science free guided meditation series 2. Shift our perspective and thereby our emotions in relation to the subject we don’t feel good about. This is essentially tackling our feelings head on.  Either way shifting to a better feeling vibration can be tricky depending on how much momentum we have going. Do we feel really passionate about this or is it just mildly irritating? Also, when shifting vibrational gears, it’s more challenging to jump a vibrational gap from despair to joy than from despair to relief. Law of attraction simply will not allow it because there is too much vibrational disparity between extreme emotions.  It is however very possible to gently shift your focus to something that feels a little better. From ‘a little better’ you can raise your vibration to the point where you can then revisit the ‘troublesome subject’ with more detachment. The vibrational scale of emotions from Dr. Hawkin’s book Power vs Force A couple more helpful tips on how to feel better: 3. Don’t take life for granted. Majority of our lives are working quite well. Perhaps your car needs one or two repairs, but can you appreciate how much your mode of transportation is working with very little effort on your behalf?  Of all the parts and connections involved, the majority of it is functioning! The same can be said for our health, our finances and our relationships. In other words, focus on appreciating how much is working for you and know that every problem has a solution.  Make a big deal out of the good stuff and minimize problems with a solution oriented attitude. 4. When you want to feel better you can remember something from the past, observe something from your present or imagine something in your mind that you would like to happen in the future. Your mind and the law of attraction do not take into account how you get to a place of feeling better. In other words, it makes no difference how you raise your vibration. You could distract yourself by watching a comedy that makes you laugh and if that makes you feel better, than your vibration is higher, your point of attraction has changed and you are again bringing more positive energy into your life. Our emotions indicate which direction we are heading in vibrationally and what kind of tangible manifestations we can expect to see if we stay on our present course.  Of course you can just look at what you have created in your life and work from there, but once the vibrational momentum has been built up to the extent that it has manifested physically, it’s a lot more effort to change direction. (But fear not, it can be done by gently stepping up the vibrational ladder.) I hope this gives you a head start on using your emotional guidance system to create an even better life for yourself. Before we delve in, let’s go over a few of the premises the Abraham method is based on. 1.  The first premise is that everything is made of energy and vibration on the quantum level. This includes thoughts, feelings, matter and material objects. This is pretty much quantum mechanics 101. 2. The second premise is based on the Law of Attraction which essentially states that vibrations of ‘like’ frequencies are attracted to one another.  Because like is attracted to like, energy in any form has a tendency to build momentum. 3. The third premise is that we emit vibrations when we focus on something. Specifically, what we think about and how we feel about that which we think about is what we vibrate.  These vibrations propagate from us and in turn attract other energies of similar vibration because the Law of Attraction is always at work.  In other words, we are always broadcasting vibrations and attracting thoughts, feelings, things, people, places, situations and so on that are of a ‘like’ frequency. 4. Lastly, our five physical senses are vibrational interpreters that allow us to interpret incoming vibration.  To better understand this concept, we can consider how vibrations like sound waves travel through the atmosphere and are interpreted by our ears into another vibration we can understand. Similarly, a radio picks up broadcasted frequencies, translates them into sound waves, which our ears then interpret and translate into audio we can recognize. Abraham points out we have a 6th vibrational interpreter at our disposal which we can use to to figure out our vibrational stance i.e the kind of vibrations we are sending out and broadcasting at any given moment. They refer to this one as our emotional guidance system. And alas we have arrived at the process I want to share with you.  How to feel better using our emotional guidance system and why we want to use it to determine our vibrational stance. To kick things off, let’s start with why we want to use our emotional guidance system.   We know that whatever we vibrate via our focus (thoughts and feelings) will bring us more of the same in our reality. So we can either wait till whatever we have been vibrating manifests physically or we can catch the direction of our vibrational momentum by paying attention to the way we feel.  *Feelings are actually our first tangible manifestation of our vibrational stance. I know this sounds too simple and obvious, but ask yourself how many times could things have played out differently if you simply paid more attention to the way you felt early on? In the early stages, our emotions are less charged and so what we feel is is easier to overlook or ignore. Here’s another perspective on why determining our vibrational stance is so important. Have you ever made changes to leave a relationship or a job only to find yourself living out essentially the same story or pattern again and again?  This is because the details of your life can change- places and faces, but unless you shift your vibrational stance i.e. the way you feel, you can’t expect the essence of those experiences to change. This is why we want to use our emotional guidance system to determine how we feel about something from the get-go.  If we feel good about it then we know that in that moment our vibe is positive and in relationship to that subject in particular we will attract more good stuff. Speaking of good stuff,  here’s how to use your emotional guidance system to feel better- When we don’t feel good about something we can: 1. Switch our focus to something that feels better using will power, meditation or breaking the momentum entirely by going to sleep.  Remember, the earlier you catch something feeling off- the better! <a href="https://kiravell.com/guided-meditation-podcast-series/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">+Check out the Vibrational Science free guided meditation series</a> 2. Shift our perspective and thereby our emotions in relation to the subject we don’t feel good about. This is essentially tackling our feelings head on.  Either way shifting to a better feeling vibration can be tricky depending on how much momentum we have going. Do we feel really passionate about this or is it just mildly irritating? Also, when shifting vibrational gears, it’s more challenging to jump a vibrational gap from despair to joy than from despair to relief. Law of attraction simply will not allow it because there is too much vibrational disparity between extreme emotions.  It is however very possible to gently shift your focus to something that feels a little better. From ‘a little better’ you can raise your vibration to the point where you can then revisit the ‘troublesome subject’ with more detachment. The vibrational scale of emotions from Dr. Hawkin’s book Power vs Force A couple more helpful tips on how to feel better: 3. Don’t take life for granted. Majority of our lives are working quite well. Perhaps your car needs one or two repairs, but can you appreciate how much your mode of transportation is working with very little effort on your behalf?  Of all the parts and connections involved, the majority of it is functioning! The same can be said for our health, our finances and our relationships. In other words, focus on appreciating how much is working for you and know that every problem has a solution.  Make a big deal out of the good stuff and minimize problems with a solution oriented attitude. 4. When you want to feel better you can remember something from the past, observe something from your present or imagine something in your mind that you would like to happen in the future. Your mind and the law of attraction do not take into account how you get to a place of feeling better. In other words, it makes no difference how you raise your vibration. You could distract yourself by watching a comedy that makes you laugh and if that makes you feel better, than your vibration is higher, your point of attraction has changed and you are again bringing more positive energy into your life. Our emotions indicate which direction we are heading in vibrationally and what kind of tangible manifestations we can expect to see if we stay on our present course. Of course you can just look at what you have created in your life and work from there, but once the vibrational momentum has been built up to the extent that it has manifested physically, it’s a lot more effort to change direction. (But fear not, it can be done by gently stepping up the vibrational ladder.) I hope this gives you a head start on using your emotional guidance system to create an even better life for yourself.
