Connor Farrell and Hunter Forbes - Chrome's Young Faceoff Duo
In this Episode of The Stripe, Greg talks with Chrome faceoff specialists Connor Farrell and Hunter Forbes. After dropping 30lbs in the offseason, Connor was thrilled when the PLL announced the 2020 Championship Series and can't wait to see more faceoff action this summer in #Chromeback2020. Farrell says his weight loss will have a huge impact in bouncing back quickly for each game, making recovery a top priority in Utah. Talking with Hunter, Gurenlian describes the rookie as “underrated” and praises his collegiate stats as being “off the charts.” Forbes is coming in holding every single ground ball and faceoff record in the Southern Conference. The two have already had multiple meetings with the Chrome coaching staff in plotting their plan of attack for the Championship Series. Greg Gurenlian, widely considered the greatest faceoff man of all time, has traded in his pads for a mic this summer. Leveraging his experience on the field, coaching expertise and media savvy, Gurenlian will bring a new era of coverage to the position that he’s helped pioneer. In The Stripe, Greg will chat with the top faceoff athletes in the sport, breakdown matchups, and analyze game performances. Please rate and review and leave a question you'd like us to ask an athlete on future shows. The Milkman: How Connor Farrell Went from a College Linebacker to PLL Star
Unbuckled Chinstrap with Jules Heningburg
Connor Farrell did not have a typical journey to professional lacrosse. In fact, he only played lacrosse in college because he lost a bet to his roommate. A 4th round draft pick and a full PLL season later, Connor has become one of the biggest stars in the league. Paul and Connor hop on into the Ticketmaster Podcast Studio to talk about his rise to professional lacrosse, what makes a great faceoff athlete, how he plans to improve for the 2020 season, and of course, his love for milk - a gallon a day type of love. Please rate and review and leave a question you’d like us to ask an athlete on future shows. Episode 11 - "Hashtag Justin Bieber as often as you can." (with special guest Connor Farrell)
On this episode of GhostPee Weston Unruh @westonunruh and Nick Holland @kickholland recount the tale of westboro baptist “church” coming to Fort Collins last week and Nick’s newfound fame from making the cover photo for the story in The Coloradoan. We also experienced our first on air blowout (see cover photo) by Roomate Will that will go down as one of the best moments in podcast history. Nick continues to develop his professional wrestling character and has come up with a new accountant type wrestling character for Weston that could only come from the mind of the Mystagogue. This weeks guest, the elusive and very funny Connor Farrell (@connerdoinwork), had to make a stop by the show before heading off to the East Coast to pursue a new career in advertising ala Don Draper. Connor has been doing stand-up in the Fort Collins area for a little over a year and GhostPee will be sad to see him head East. Conner, the winner of the January open-mic contest at Ma’s Juice Bar, will have to make a return to Fort Collins to compete in the finals in December. We tried to cover as much ground as we could with Conner including his love affair with the Colorado Rockies, pop culture, who to follow on Twitter, roofies, and “dibs” etiquette. Joining our live studio audience this week Roommate Will, Beth Unruh (@bethmunruh), the guy on the couch Jason James (https://www.facebook.com/jasonjamesco?fref=ts) and Jason’s special lady friend Julie.
