She is grateful for having begun her professional career at Blue Hill Restaurant in New York City, where she learned about hospitality, sustainability, farming, management, and how to solve problems in a hurry. She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, son, and dog, Lucky.  She holds a BA from Wesleyan University and an MSc. in Urban Planning from Columbia University.
