Perception needs to be changed. Those with highly stressful jobs, can suffer from a compromised immune system. Improving the mental health of mining workers may be impossible, but our industry should in no way ever detract from their mental health at any time. The challenge for larger mining companies, is to retain and encourage a sense of agility instead of becoming complacent.
