Kris Lawerence just ran a break through marathon at CIM in 2:42:42, grabbing an Olympic Trials Qualifying time. She has had an incredible marathon progression, but injury got in the way for a couple of years but 2017 was her year! She actually ran a half marathon PR in the second half of this race. Kris is the mother of three, (she’s a twin mom!) and her husband is a submarine nuclear engineer in the Navy, so she has lived in 8 different states since college, traveling for his work and done a lot of solo parenting while he travels, which we can all just bow down to right now. In this episode we talk about her life and training, parenting, favorite books and nonprofits and all things CIM! Truly an inspiring and fun episode with Kris. I was so thankful to chat with her. She might even convince you to run without your watch and go easy on yourself for those marathon paced long runs. Enjoy!
