Sophia Bhaumick is a girl in a man’s world. At the tender age of 24, she is already managing boxers and other sports professionals through her own sports agency, Bear Management. “Boxing is my soul”, she says, as she opens up on a lonely childhood which saw her left literally 'home alone’ for months at a time aged 12-16. She survived by shadowing boxing. “It provided something to touch”, says Sophia. Where some might have fallen by the wayside or made different choices, Sophia, mature beyond her years, decided to use her experience to help others less fortunate than herself. Moved by the Phillipinnes typhoon tragedy in 2013, Sophia bought a plane ticket and went on a humanitarian mission to help build houses, schools and water tanks. After going to help others and fix things for the better, cruelly, Sophia was beset by her own life-changing tragedy and came back broken and in need of her own help. A survivor and a fighter, Sophia found herself fighting this time for own sanity. "Boxing saved me”, she says. She started Bear Management and started supporting and developing young boxers, not just on their boxing journey, but on their life journey. “You can tell your whole story in a boxing ring” she states. What is that one event that occurred in your life and how did it shape you to become stronger?  "If you desire to become a champion, to be the best in the game, you have to be relentless. Through life experiences and times where you feel like everything is just going wrong and you feel like giving up. You learn to just keep going because at the end of the day "you didn't come this far to only come this far" you learn to be one with yourself.   On today's episode of The Inspire Before We Expire, I got to speak on the power of resilience with native originally from the United Kingdom: Sophia Bhaumick.   Sophia Bhaumick comes from a tough background and have never let anything stop her from boarding school and her desire to helping others. Later along her young journey volunteering her time after a tragic tycoon she knew it was her time to help rebuild the communities in the Philippines and help various families get food and find shelter. She said it was like nothing she seen before and during those last days of volunteering an event occurred that change her forever to be the resilient women she stand to be today. "When many would of gave up this young lady kept going.  She is now a sports agent who is currently working with Pro UFC fighters and football athletes.   Sophia is passionate about putting together events to raise the awareness of her clients and grow their platforms.
