UK BLOGGER HANNAH MARTIN RAISES CONCERNS ABOUT MULTILEVEL MARKETING | ANTI-MLM

Hey Hun, You Woke Up!

Talented Ladies Club is run by Hannah Martin. The articles Hannah produces probe into the world of multilevel marketing. TLDR she is not a fan.  I had a chance to chat with Hannah and get her perspective on this industry both find to be unethical and extremely problematic. Ep.31 Hannah Martin: How To Believe in Yourself and Start Your Own Business

The Meaningful Life with Andrew G. Marshall

So many mothers have found the world of work a hostile environment after they have children. The jobs they once loved just don’t work with babies, school runs and Christmas plays, and it can feel like everything suffers.  Hannah Martin of the Talented Ladies Club has dedicated herself to helping women find the courage and inspiration to create careers that work for them and their families. She has helped them unlock creativity and an entrepreneurial spirit that has brought meaning and fulfilment. Hannah’s idea for the Talented Ladies Club was born when she realised how many of her talented and experienced friends were struggling to resume their careers after having children. These were successful, talented and ambitious women who should have had no problem earning good money in jobs they loved.  Hannah decided there was a need for empowering online content to help women realise that becoming a mother wasn’t the end of their career – it could be the start of an exciting new adventure. Since Talented Ladies Club was launched in 2013, it has helped thousands of mothers.  Hannah is an award-winning copywriter, qualified psychotherapist, hypnotherapist and NLP Practitioner. She is an in-demand business coach and trainer, and creates and runs Talented Ladies Club’s online courses and programs. Inside the Jewel Vault with Hannah Martin

Inside the Jewel Vault

Welcome Inside the Jewel Vault hosted by me, jeweller and gemmologist Jessica Cadzow-Collins.  In this episode I ask leading designer Hannah Martin to select six pieces from her life and career in jewellery and put them into a fantasy Jewel Vault, ultimately choosing that one special treasure to keep safe forever.  Since first encountering Hannah’s pieces over a decade ago, I have admired her uncompromising approach to designing jewellery that speaks to her essential vision. It is non-derivative, non-gender defining, non-prescriptive. Her designs explore our deepest attachments to jewellery as talismans of life and emotion, in a way that is so much more than just skilfully crafting pieces from gorgeous gems and precious metal.  It just exists now and always in the moment. To speak to her and learn about her life and journey was transfixing, the passion and intelligence she emits is bewitching. She is a phenomenally talented person but so easy to speak to, and so openly honest about her story. Listen to her as she describes her process in this revealing podcast episode.  This was a conversation I was so excited to have with a real jewellery hero of mine, and even more excited to be able to share with you, so I hope you also enjoy.Guest Bio: Hannah is a leading contemporary designer whose fine jewellery emit a uniquely edgy energetic aesthetic. Hannah founded her own workshop in Clerkenwell, East London in 2006 shortly after graduating from St Martin’s, since when her work has been acclaimed by the press and jewellery lovers alike for its uncompromising post-punk vision.  Her pieces straddle the gender divide as well as confronting norms of beauty and function.  https://www.hannahmartinlondon.comI want to hear from you!  What special treasures would you put into your fantasy jewel vault, and why?  Every so often I’ll compile your stories into a podcast of their own.  To get in touch with me and also to access show notes and images, go to: https://vipjewelvault.com/podcast Produced by broadcasting guru Lizzie Wingham. [Episode 60] Could your pricing be costing you clients? Hannah Martin, founder of the Talented Ladies Clubs, helps you get your pricing right

Sparkle and Thrive

‘You’re hiding your bananas.’ This simple statement was enough to really shift the gears of  Hannah Martin’s business (well, that and Hannah changing her mindset. But back to the bananas for a minute). Having started the Talented Ladies Club to inspire and empower mothers and encourage them not to give up on their professional dreams, Hannah soon realised that running a business fuelled by passion alone would only get her so far (sound familiar?).  So she decided to invest in business coaching and was challenged to pull on her brave pants and face her fear of sales. Like the greengrocers of old, she was told she needed to get her ‘bananas’ out to the front of her ‘shop’ and show them off! More importantly, to attract the right customers, she needed to price her ‘bananas’ correctly.  (Ok, we’re done with the bananas 😁!!!). For Hannah, getting your pricing right is one of the most important aspects of running a successful business. So, it’s rather wonderful that she’s here on this week’s Sparkle and Thrive podcast, sharing her pricing journey and revealing the top tips she’s learned along the way. And, we promise you, her episode is absolute gold!  Here’s why you need to tune in: ✨ There’s the moment Hannah explains what we really mean when we say ‘I can’t afford it’ (we love her take on this!).   ✨ You’ll love Hannah’s nifty ‘no, but’ trick (it’s genius!).  ✨ And you don’t want to miss Hannah’s gentle reminder that you should never be running scared in business.  As Hannah says: “Never let a client make you feel bad or make you feel like you’ve got to explain yourself. It’s your business. A client can choose to work with you or to not work with you...They should want to work with you as much as you want to work them.” Boom! 💥 Here’s what to listen out for: [08:38] Learn why coaching has been an invaluable investment for both Hannah and Joy.  [13:52] Hear how Hannah learned to show off her bananas!  [15:08] Discover the early mistakes Hannah made in her business and why she’s not ashamed of them. [25:58] Hear why getting your pricing right will help you attract more clients. [32:48] If you have clients who want everything for nothing, you’ll love Hannah’s story. [34:57] Hear Hannah’s take on what we mean when we say ‘I can’t afford it’. [42:52] Move away from charging per hour and learn how to get the pricing of your packages right.  [52:38] Learn Hannah’s brilliant ‘no, but’ trick. So, if you’ve been hiding your bananas away (sorry, we couldn’t resist!), it’s time to get out there and face your pricing fears. It’s time to earn what you’re worth. For links and resources mentioned in this episode, please visit our website.  Huge shout out to TechPixie Sophie Rose Simmons who create the pre-roll voiceover to our podcast! The World Traveler Judo Nomad with Hannah Martin

Dynamic Leaders Podcast

On today's episode of the Dynamic Leaders Podcast, Colin is joined by Hannah Martin. Hannah is a world-class Olympian judo competitor for Team USA. Her career in judo spans over twenty years and she is now training for the Summer 2021 Games in Tokyo. Topics include: what it means to dedicate so much training time to be competitive at judo and the sacrifice that comes with that, being teammates with Ronda Rousey, why we need to have people around us who can guide us to the finish line, making connections within the judo world when it's such an individualized sport, and her process for ensuring she gets off to a fast start in a competition so that she can continue to fight and not have to go home. Follow Hannah: Twitter & Instagram: @judohannah Some of the best quotes from Hannah: I've always been a very motivated person. I've always wanted to be the best at everything I've done, no matter what it is. If you're willing to put in the work and go the extra mile then you'll be successful. I always go out there [on the mat] with a game plan for myself and focus on what I need to do instead of focusing on what they're [the competition] doing.  ------- Take the Podcast Listener Survey and help us continue to improve the show! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeF4lX1H6S4g2ar4zwrPBiX7U7XgPTSUEuX5t356PVtfx913Q/viewform?usp=sf_link ------- Music by HookSounds: https://www.hooksounds.com/ ------- MAILBAG Shoot your questions over to colin@talent409.com ------- At the Talent 409 Leadership Academy, we guide women in sports to discover their Talent Altitude and increase their opportunities to be in positions of influence.
