Can you believe it?! This is episode 100!! Woo Hoo! Jake &amp; Randy talk about their personal observations. They both feel they’ve grown as a result of the numerous conversations they’ve had &amp; the various points of view they’ve heard. They reminisce a bit over the last two and a half years and talk about some of their favorite episodes. Rick continues his stories down memory lane and all his favorite Freestyle hot spots in California…Jake asks about some rumored psychological war fare during competition. Rick has some good Donny Rhodes &amp; Joey Hudoklin stories, but when it comes down to saying who is “best” it isn’t possible to choose. Rick says in 1984, he was probably the best, but it was short lived. Rick says the key to being great is commitment; watch videos, and play a lot, with lots of different people. It is a continual learning process, and everyone has a different way of approaching how they get to that place of flow. The next episode will be a recap of the World Urban Games. FPA World’s is coming October 10-13 in Seattle, as well as a celebration of Hall of Fame inductees. It will all be live streamed!

Photo by Scott Star  The Coloradicals were the first World Champions from Colorado, but why did the team break up? Rick moved to San Diego, and everyone just kind of went their own way. They all remained great friends, but they spread the jam elsewhere. Rick shares his most memorable jams… He also talks about meeting Stacy Anderson, now McCarthy, and how they made a living doing demos. Jake asks about Art of Disc where he partnered with Dave Schiller and Joel Rodgers. Rick is one of 2019 Hall of Fame Inductees. The ceremony for all 2019 inductees will take place at the Worlds in Seattle in October 10th – 13th. Episode 91: Rick Castiglia Wouldn’t Change a Thing!

 Today’s guest, Rick Castiglia, was just inducted into the Freestyle Frisbee Hall of Fame. It was back in 1968 that Rick first laid his hands on a yellow fastback while playing tag with friends. Although he was an avid basketball player, it was a knee injury that led him to his love of Frisbee. Rick shares how he met other players whose names you’ll recognize including Bill Wright &amp; Doug Brannigan. The three of them joined forces in Fort Collins and set off for their great Frisbee adventures in a VW Bug and the Coloradicals were born.
