Surviving The Storm ft. Diamond Dorris

On this weeks episode of pickHERupper Diamond Dorris and I dive into THE CHURCH! Sticking to the theme of "How Deep is Your Love" and taking into account the things that we love the most but can also break our hearts I had to include The Church. As beautiful as my relationship with God is and as much as the church has played a role in my life and still does to this day... I still know that church has hurt a lot of people. So in this episode, Diamond and I share our experiences growing up in the Black Church, dissimilarities we have with some Church thinking, and growing into our own spirituality as adults. Self discovery has brought closer to God than I have ever been and the relationship just keeps growing. Whatever you identify or connect with I think you can learn a lot from this episode.
