23 year old Julie Kibuishi was found murdered in her friend, Sam Herr's, apartment. She'd been shot twice in the back of the head, written on the back of the sweater she was wearing were the words "She's all yours... f*** you", and Sam Herr was nowhere to be seen. Police found texts from Sam, showing that he had asked Julie to come to his apartment the night she was murdered. It was clear - all signs pointed to Sam.... until they started pointing to someone else. Enter Daniel Wozniak.... On this week's episode I tell Russ about the crazy case of Julie Kibuishi and Sam Herr. Police thought this was just another crime of passion. But they quickly realized there was way more to this story, and in fact, would go in a direction they never expected. This case is like something out of a shakespearean drama and it includes a couple more players. It's full of twists and turns with a tragic and unexpected ending. Moral of this story... "All that glitters is not gold, these violent delights have violent ends. Hell is empty and all the devils are here."

Season 1, Episode 6: Julie Kibuishi and Samuel Herr
True Crime Bulletin
Julie Kibuishi was a young woman who wanted nothing more than to help people. While attending college, she also worked as a tutor, helping those in need with their education so they could thrive as well. Julie became a victim of a crime, a crime that she could not have seen coming. This isn't a case of her trusting the wrong people or putting herself in danger. Rather, Julie was a pawn in a much larger scheme, one that no one could have imagined.
This week we discuss the murders of Costa Mesa students Sam Herr and Julie Kibuishi by their supposed friend Daniel Wozniak. Truly a head scratching case. Episode 18: The Bermuda Triangle // Murders of Sam Herr & Julie Kibuishi
... But What Do We Know?
We're baaaaaack with our regular format! Hope you enjoyed last week's Yappy Hour, but it's back to business this week. And of course it wouldn't be BWDWK without some weird story telling combination. First, Marissa reviews her now 2nd least favorite conspiracy theory-- the Bermuda Triangle. You may know a little about this, but what do you really know? Electromagnetic fields? Aliens? Or just plain human error. We'll discuss. Then Anna discusses the horrific and nonsensical murders of Sam Herr & Julie Kibushi. This is a case that has many twists and turns-- you'll just have to listen. ____Facebook: @BWDWKpodcastTwitter @BWKWKpodcastInstagram: @butwhatdoweknowpodcastEmail: email@example.com____On Intagram...Coverart: @ohsamitMusic: @cliff_albert____***DON'T FORGET TO RATE/SUBSCRIBE/REVIEW***____Catch up on (local) 95.3 DNH on 08/22/2019 at 8AM
The Final Act: The Murders of Julie Kibuishi & Samuel Herr
True Crime Brewery
Daniel Wozniak believed his acting abilities would help him get away with anything, including the perfect crime. For him, this crime was a cold-blooded double murder with money as the sole motivation. Wozniak was engaged to be married and he killed combat vet Samuel Herr and his college tutor Julie Kibuishi because he needed money to pay for a lavish beach side wedding. These murders were equally callous and brutal. After the murders, Wozniak acted in a play with his fiancée that same night, his victim’s body just yards away. He gave a flawless performance. The victims of these murders were kindhearted, giving people. Sam Herr lost his life going out of his way to help Daniel Wozniak. In return, he was murdered, robbed, and set up as the killer of Julie Kibuishi, before his body was dismembered and discarded like trash. We’re discussing what led up to these heinous acts, the young lives of the victims, the level of involvement of Wozniak’s fiancée, and the many twists and turns of these cruel and unforgivable crimes in The Final Act: The Murders of Julie Kibuishi and Samuel Herr.
