I told you that it something was coming today and it was gonna be "YUGE" and here it is!  Today's guest is Mississippi State head coach Mike Leach! In today's episode we talk about his journey to Mississippi State and how we were able to pry him away after so many other schools tried and failed. We then talk about the affect of the coronavirus on spring practice and how Kylin Hill is going to fit. Then we discuss his offensive philosophy and the transition of MSU from a spread option/RPO team to the now famous Air Raid. Of course we had to go off script and ask him if he's seen the Tiger King and if Carole Baskin did it.

You don't wanna miss this one!!!

Then we will discuss week for the men (vs Ole Miss) and suggested lineups for the women's team. We'll finish off talking about Mike Leach's twitter rant about Mitt Romney. Mike Leach To The SEC, How UGA's Weird Day Impacts SEC East, National Championship Preview (ep. 257)

Hoooooooo boy, the guys have a ton to get to. Instead of just talking all things national championship, they've got so much more to get to.
Mike Leach is officially coming to the SEC thanks to Mississippi State, and the guys have plenty of reactions to that.

Also, Jake Fromm's NFL departure began a strange day for Georgia that also included Cade Mays transferring (to Tennessee) and his dad suing the university after he had his finger severed? Yeah, it's weird stuff that the guys put some perspective with. So what does it mean for the SEC East? And is Florida the favorite?

The guys discuss that, and oh, by the way, they have tons of stuff to preview LSU-Clemson in the National Championship. They close with 4th and Wrong and #ItMightMeanTooMuch.

Furness H1 - Slickhawk fills in / Mike Leach officially leaves / Christian Caple: What's next for WSU? / Ian's reaction / Something Good

We first started reporting the possibility yesterday, and today it's official; Mike Leach has taken the head coaching job at Mississippi State. Just a month ago, Leach signed a one-year extension, good through 2024, which led us to think that maybe he'd stay for now, but clearly that did not happen. Leach is taking an SEC job that's closer to home, but one also wonders if he had beaten Washington a time or two if things wouldn't be different. He'd have had a better shot at the Pac-12 Championship, and recruiting within the state would have been helped as well. This leaves a big coaching vacancy over in Pullman, so what's next for the school? Christian Caple usually covers the Huskies for The Athletic but he's keeping close tabs on this situation. We bring him on the show to give us updates. Ian of course has thoughts on the move. We catch up with him as he makes his way to Green Bay. On Something Good, Australians give American firefighters a round of applause as they arrive to help fight the bushfires.

Furness H1 - For us, it's a win-win / Mike Leach contract has been extended / Jim Walden on the Apple Cup, the extension

Shows on this station have spent the whole week arguing over who to root for on Sunday morning; Saints or San Francisco, but either way, as long as the Seahawks win, it's a win-win. One of those teams has to lose, unless they tie, and that'll help Seattle too. Mike Leach has signed an extension of another year, now through 2024, but importantly it means we'll see him on the sidelines for at least another year. Ian isn't entirely sure how to feel about that. Former coach Jim Walden is sure how he feels, and it's mostly positive, just as long as he can figure out how to beat Washington once and awhile. Oh and not yelling at reporters would help too.
