Ein Buch was es endlich auf den westlichen Markt geschafft hat und eine Fantasy Klassiker Buchreihe, die so manchen Autor: Innen beeinflusst hat. Das erste Buch Colorful von Eto Mori, eine japanische Romanautorin im Bereich Jugendliteratur, ist ein Werk, welches schwere Themen wie Selbstmord, Mobbing und Geistige Gesundheit in einfacher Form darstellt. So können es auch sehr gut Jüngere lesen und die positive Botschaft mitnehmen. Die Buchreihe The Elric Saga von Michael Moorcock, einer der bekanntesten Fantasy Autoren, prägte das Bild des tragischen Helden. Elric ist ein Albino und ein negativer Held, am Anfang kann er nur durch Drogen überleben und später ist er abhängig von seinem Schwert Sturmbringer. Sein ganzes Leben ist voller Tragödien und schweren Schicksalsschlägen. Damit erschuf Moorcock das genaue Gegenteil des altbekannten Helden, den man vorherigen Fantasyromanen kennt.
