John welcomes actor and first time author, Tony McGeever onto the show.  At the height of the 2020 lockdown, Tony wrote, crowdsourced and published his book ''Oh Mummy, Why Can't We Go Out and Play?", which aims to explain the COVID pandemic to young people, with proceeds going towards supporting children's charities.

The Braw and The Brave is a podcast about people and their passions.Episode 122 is in conversation with Actor Tony McGeever. Focussed on becoming a professional actor from a young age, he was introduced to the world of theatre starring in Cameron Mackintosh's Oliver and Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dream Coat whilst still at school. Going on to study at the Royal Scottish Conservatoire, Tony has had a successful and varied career thus far, performing in award winning productions for the Royal Shakespeare Company, National Theatre and Dundee Rep. He has also appeared on television with credits including, ‘In Plain Sight’, ‘Shetland’ and award winning British series ‘Accused’ by Jimmy McGovern. Tony is passionate about whisky, fascinated by the storytelling aspect of the industry and has more recently created A Barrel of Laughs, his own whisky company.
