"Disability does not define you. Don't be disabled in spirit as well as physically"

Ideas

1

So many of us complain that we can't make it to social gatherings or activities due to COVID, that we forget that there are people that have never been able to do these things.
People with disabilities or particular circumstances often have it a lot worse than most of us ever will, they don't have an end date for when their life will return back to normal, their situations are often permanent.

When we feel like we're missing out on what we've come to expect as the norm, we should realise that everything that we did and continue to have has always actually been a luxury and priviledge.

2

So much of the tools that has helped all of us make the tough times during COVID possible are the same types of tools we need to build for those with disabilities & disadvantages.
As soon as the pandemic hit and we went into lockdown, there were so many resources that allowed things such as video conferences, working from home and virtual doctor appointments to be possible.

Much of these tools were what the disability community have been asking for forever.

When all of this goes back to normal, when this pandemic is over, please don't forget about people like myself and the disability community. For some of us, this is our normal life.

Some things we have control over. But other things have control over us.
But often when something has control over us, we still get the last say in how we react to what happens.

You can't change the cards that you've been dealt, but you sure as hell can change how you play.

And often it matters more how you play with the hand your dealt than the hand itself.
