Quote

"Meaning is not something out there waiting to be discovered, but something we create in our own lives."

Ideas

1

Just because something is justified doesn't mean it's right or ideal.
When something makes you resentful and angry, think about whether or not any of those feelings help make the situation better.

Because if it doesn't, it's unproductive to feel that way even though it's justifiable. Find the perspective or story that helps you move forward.

One of the most beautiful things about humanity is that we're not only dissatisfied with things that are wrong and can be improved, but also dissatisfied with ourselves.
Most of us want to be better, we are anxious to be good. And with this, no matter how bad of a state we ourselves or the world is in, we can have faith that we'll work to improve upon these.

One of the difficult aspects to come to terms with for religions is how absolute a lot of it is.
At one point, God was responsible for things such as diseases and natural disasters.

But over time, we've come to see more and more of these things that are explained away by science and our understanding of the world.

There is without a doubt good from religions, but it would also be irresponsible to simply assume that all of it is absolute and not to be questioned.
