I was excited about the 39 min episode about growing your skincare business and it was nothing but an entire MLM advertisement for a specific company. Her episode on cleansers was sponsored by a cleanser, the whole episode concluded as to how this particular cleanser encapsulated all the important points she'd just made. 3 stars for the short episodes and direct message. As an aesthetician wanting to stay current, this isn't for me.

Almost everyone at a some point in their life will have dark circles under the eye. Some people have the problem at an early age because they are genetically predisposed. Fortunately, there are really effective ways to reduce the appearance of under eye circles, but first, you have to know why you have them. Here is my “Roundup” of info on under eye circles, including the very tricks and tips

Rank #8: Understanding How the Ketogenic Diet Works

Podcast cover
Read more

To better understand how the ketogenic diet works, we first need to know how macronutrients – carbohydrates, proteins and fats – are broken down by the body for energy.  Carbohydrates are broken down into glucose which is either used immediately as energy or stored as glycogen or fat which can be used later for energy.  Protein is broken down into amino acids, of which 50% are stored as glycogen or fat which can also be used later for energy. Fats, on the other hand are broken down into fatty acids and stored as triglycerides.

Makeup is supposed to accentuate your natural beauty, but the rules change with age. Is less more? What color is best? Is this look too “young” for me? These are excellent questions to ask.

Why? The makeup techniques and color palettes that worked for you when you were younger could actually make you look older now.

Here are five things to avoid (or implement) to ensure you’re highlighting, not distracting, from your natural beauty:

Sales in the cosmetic business are driven by an emotional rather than rational response. In the efforts to find chemical compounds capable of producing fast and impressive results, some over-the-counter cosmetic products may contain detergents that puff up skin's proteins with water, creating temporal swelling of the surface. Others actually contain topical irritants that produce a type of dermal swelling, for instance those used to temporarily mask the appearance of the puckering of cellulite on the thighs. In this ocean of deception it is very difficult to tell truth from fiction. What are some principles that will guide you to reasonable expectations when using topical skin rejuvenation products? Let's review three important tips www.askthebeautyadivior.com

On this weeks episode we  really dig into some more advanced skincare techniques that can take your skin to new heights. The technique we are  going to talk about this week is one that EVERYONE should be doing regularly, but most people do incorrectly... leading to major, potentially irreversible skin damage. We are  talking about exfoliation - with the beauty advisor's special guest Pamela Springer.. The point of exfoliation - as you probably know - is to get rid of dry, dull, dead skin cells to reveal smooth, bright, youthful skin underneath. It's also important for making sure your skincare products aren't "blocked" from absorbing deeply into skin...Not to mention, preventing clogged and enlarged pores that come from having too much dead skin buildup. visit  www.globalskin-solutions.com for a $25 discount use the code beautyshow

LISTEN-IN   today as Our guest  Michelle Berdeal Skelly talks about this amazing technique for younger  smoother skin:

In today’s world, many people are willing to try pretty much anything for smoother, younger-looking skin. Plastic surgery, non-surgical facelift, fractional laser resurfacing, botox, injectables, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, even snail slime and snake venom are said to improve skin's texture and appearance.

Add a new one to the list - micro-needling (also called derma-rolling). It’s been getting a lot of media and online attention these days.

he truth is…micro-needling has been around for a long time. Celebrities have been doing it to their skin for years and getting great results from it.
