Rank #2: 40: Sales and Marketing Strategies for New Product Launches
In this episode I share with you sales and marketing strategies for new product launches. One of the questions I get asked a lot is, "My company just announced a new product...how should I go about marketing it to my network?"
In this training, I share with you my top tips and strategies for dealing with new product launches in your company. When done correctly, new product launches can be an incredibly powerful way to generate momentum in your business.
The sad reality is however, that most people go about new product launches completely the WRONG way. They immediately go to their social media and start posting every day all the information about the new product, and how excited they are to share it with everyone.
They start "spamming" their contact list, thinking that people will just jump all over the new offer just because they put it out there. This is NOT the way you want to approach a new product launch. You have to view the information that you have about this new product, etc. as a very valuable commodity. The information that you have about that new product is a reason for you to reach back out to prospects and re-engage with them. When you just freely put the information out there at every opportunity, you lose all of the power. In my opinion, it actually de-values the information.
In the training I share with you my top 3 ways to approach prospects with this new information, and I share some of my best scripts for you to use. This episode is a longer than usual, but I promise you it is an hour of some of the best training you'll ever get in the area of new product launches.

Rank #3: 63: How to Overcome Your Fear of Self-Promotion on Social Media
In this episode we’re going to talk about how to overcome your fear of self-promotion on social media. Almost anyone in network marketing can tell you that putting yourself out there is a vital aspect of the business, but most people struggle with this because they have fear of self-promotion.
This fear can come from different places, but we all deal with it. You might ask yourself: “What makes me credible to teach others and share my advice?” Your degree, background, rank, or commission check have nothing to do with it. There are 3 primary things that will make you credible to teach others: The CONNECTION you have with people, the VALUE that you provide, and your CONSISTENCY.
Understand that no one else can teach a topic the way that you do: how you think about it, explain it, your life stories and research. Don’t water yourself down thinking that someone else wonʼt be able to take the “real you.” Itʼs your willingness to be authentic and unapologetically yourself that will make you stand out.
Thereʼs 2 primary motivating forces in life: love and fear. When youʼre living in fear, you pull back from life, afraid to take action and put yourself out there. When youʼre operating from love, everything is different. You are open to all the life has to offer with passion, excitement and enthusiasm.
For many of you the issue isnʼt just a fear of failure or of being judged - itʼs actually a fear of success. Deep down you donʼt feel worthy of success and it scares you to death. You just have to have the courage to put yourself out there and get started.
Hopefully you get a ton of value out of the training, feel free to share the episode with anyone that you think it could help! If you’re interested in registering for my free Facebook training next week you can do so at the link below!

Rank #4: 99: How to Recruit 'Business Builders' into Your Network Marketing Team
Do either of these situations sound familiar?
- You can get customers easily, but you just can’t seem to sign any business partners and actually build a team.
- Or, you can recruit, but no one on your team ever sees any level of success.
If you’ve said a resounding “Yes, that’s me!” to either of the above, then I’m here to tell you your problem – you’re talking WAY too much!
You know everything about the product and the compensation plan! And you’re more than happy to share all of those details!
You are stuck in the trap that a lot of network marketers get into – you’ve made yourself the expert.
And your prospects or team members CANNOT or DO NOT WANT to duplicate what you’re doing. They do not see themselves as ever ‘being the expert’ like you are.
When Prospecting, the Less that You Say, the More You Make
I want you to understand this: the ‘training process’ for your new recruits starts the moment you open your mouth to them.
And the question that’s stuck in their mind is, “Can I do this?”
So as the leader, in order to demonstrate the SIMPLICITY of your business and able to duplicate it in your team, you must start TALKING LESS.
Once your prospects or team members see that they are simply sharing information in the form of third party tools (videos, recorded calls, etc), they are more likely to move forward because they see that they do not have to be ‘the expert’ like you!
Being ‘The Expert’ actually is killing your chance of building a successful and energetic team!

Rank #5: 80: The Biggest Mistake People Make When Prospecting on Social Media
The reason why most people struggle in network marketing is because they are taught to focus on the wrong things. Network marketers have this “Success Mindset”, wherein they focus more on personal gain and what they can get from their network marketing business. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with having success goals, but if that’s your final destination, then you will see yourself struggling with prospecting people.
Somebody asked me, “What would you consider to be an effective Facebook prospecting post?” I thought about it, and understanding the concept of Legacy Leadership, a better question would be, “What would be the best thing for me to post on Facebook to help me make the biggest impact?”
Actually, social media has shifted to quality over quantity. In other words, posting your stuff and inviting people every day to join your business doesn’t work anymore. So, in this episode, I’m going to share with you a business strategy that you can apply to be successful in prospecting.
I have this concept called “Learning Out Loud”, and it focuses more on impact over income, quality over quantity. So anytime you hear, read or learn something that educates and empowers you, all you need to do is share that content with others on social media. Your goal is to enhance people’s lives by what you share. And the moment you share something that has value to someone, you immediately become valuable to them. This then creates that connection and relationship, and we all know a successful prospecting is born of that relationship.
Stop thinking like a customer, and start thinking like a marketer. Marketers think everything around us is potential content to share with others.
So here is my challenge for you: Start to share that quote that inspired your life, the strategies you heard on podcasts or read in a book. Get those old notebooks that you’ve accumulated and find something in there that you can share with someone else. Remember, teaching is the fastest way to success.

Rank #6: 111: How to Overcome Your Fear of Prospecting
In this podcast episode, we dive into a topic that I believe everyone can relate to which is how to overcome your fear of prospecting. I am going to give you a totally different way to look at fear and what I wish I would have known when I first started in network marketing.
The goal is not to eliminate FEAR… it is to build your FAITH
As humans we start off free from fear. My son, Greyson, proves this! He is a maniac and fearless in how he lives his life and what he’s willing to try each day.
However, over time, as humans, we start to develop a fear that resides deep inside of us.
When I started my own first network marketing business, I was so excited at first!....until I had to make that first phone call! Then the fear stepped in! In fact, I, Bob Heilig, hated prospecting at first!
Oftentimes, we wind up clinging to our fears because we want to be certain and be in control.
We can call fear different things, but I want you to understand that no matter the term you use, they are all the same. And the solution to overcome every single type of fear is the same as well.
You need to know this - the solution is not eliminating fear; it is building up your faith.
To be successful in your business, you must break the habitual pattern of negative thinking that you’ve created in your life. This way of thinking has created your current results!
You must be able to interpret the things you are scared of – the ‘no’s,’ the rejections, the lack of responses from people you respect – in a different way than your current emotions are allowing.
And so, in this episode, let’s dig a bit deeper on what exactly fear is, exactly why we love to cling to our fears, but also what you need to consciously and intentionally see to overcome fear’s grip on your life and your business.

Rank #7: 16: Stop Trying to Sell on Facebook
In this episode we tackle an issue that I know is a controversial one for many network marketers. Whether or not you should be "selling" your particular company's opportunity, products and services on Facebook. Facebook has become inundated with network marketers promoting their "stuff". I tackle the very important question of whether or not this is good for their business and network marketing as a whole. I introduce one of the most important concepts I've ever learned when it comes to marketing, "learn to create curiosity instead of raising resistance". I use the analogy of your Facebook page being like your personal TV channel. If all you are doing is posting about your specific company, you are really nothing more than an infomercial. I believe this is an episode that every single person that is in network marketing needs to listen to and really understand. If you or anyone on your team flooding your news feed with company specific content all the time then make sure they listen to this episode.

Rank #9: 117: Getting Unstuck, Motivating Your Team, Building Your Belief #AskBob
Today I’m answering YOUR listener-submitted questions!
You’ll often hear that owning your own business can be a very lonely endeavor, even when you have downline, uplines, and sidelines like in network marketing.
However, what you need to know is that the problems you have are the same problems so many others are experiencing as well! Which is why I’m excited to release our very first podcast answering YOUR submitted questions!
Last week, Sarah, Tiara, Jessica, and Sarah submitted questions to me about issues they are personally facing in their network marketing businesses, and in this episode I go through them one-by-one.
06:29 Question #1 (Sarah) – How do I keep myself ‘unstuck?’ If you have been inconsistent for a really long time in your business, where do you even begin to build consistency, be an example to your team, and get the momentum going?
17:04 Question #2 (Tiara) – I’m a runner. But, how do you change the speed and momentum of your team? How do you adjust your expectations of other people who aren’t like you?
28:12 Question #3 (Jessica) – I want to cast vision and think BIG, but when I think about who I need to be in order to make that happen, it’s threatening my current identity BIG TIME. How do I change my identity and shift into that person that I need to be?
39:42 Question #4 (Sarah) - How are you supposed to see yourself running a million-dollar company when you are so far in debt? How can you truly believe that one day you’ll be able to retire your husband and spend every day together as a family when I barely ever get to see them now as it is?

Although Facebook has its place in marketing, Instagram offers different advantages that will allow you to be more discoverable to people. Rank #11: 95: The Secret to Motivating Your Team
Why should you focus on building a team?
It’s pretty simple.
Building an organization is the ONLY way that you will ever achieve TRUE freedom in your network marketing business.
Yes, you can sell products and still earn additional income to assist your family.
However, true financial and time freedom is only accomplished with a team. Having a team allows you to increase and scale the impact that you can make in the world exponentially. The bigger the team you have, the bigger the impact that you’ll make in your business. And because money is a reward for the amount of value you give to the world, of course, the more money you will make as well.
The Secret to Motivating Your Team is Leverage
The problem, though, is that leaders are taught to focus on the wrong things in their business.
As a result, they not only struggle growing their business, but they also struggle as a leader.
Here is the secret I want to share with you when it comes to motivating your team – it’s called LEVERAGE!
Leverage is having the power to influence a person or a situation to achieve a particular outcome.
When it comes to creating leverage within an organization, you must understand these two concepts – WIDTH and DEPTH.
Width refers to the people that you personally recruit into your business and this is the first thing that you need to focus when starting a business.
Depth on the other hand, refers to the people that come into your team through the people that you personally recruited. Yes, what naturally happens over time is depth starts to develop but I want you to know that depth is your responsibility. You need to have that “chasing the business” mindset.
As a leader, don’t wait for depth to happen. Go out and make it happen for yourself. And trust me, when you can build depth in a team it does something very powerful.

Rank #12: 82: 5 Steps to Building Your Home Business Empire
Today's episode is a special interview with John Melton. I am very thrilled to have John on the show today because I know he will be sharing a lot of valuable insights about social media marketing.
Truth be told, there are a lot of social media marketers struggling in their business. There a a couple problems they have in common. One would be that they do not create enough generic value to attract people. Another would be that they’re just thinking about themselves and what they can get from the business. So, in this episode, John will be sharing the 5 Steps to Building Your Home Business Empire.
- Prospecting and Attracting Leads
Your goal is to set up your online presence, so you need to create one piece of valuable content every day. In order to create a following, you need to post something that creates curiosity. Share something inspirational, or contents that you have read in a book. You can also set your brand. What do you want people to know for?
- Connecting with Leads
Once you have those leads, you must connect with them. Build relationships with those people who like, comment or engage with your posts. But the key thing is, don’t be pushy. You want to be human first, marketer second; build that social equity with your contacts.
- Inviting People to Look at Your Product/Business
After building rapport with your leads, you can then make an offer. But again, don’t be pushy. You are there to give them information that will help them with their problems. Share your testimony on how the business or product changed your life. Face your fear of making an offer, just be bold in sharing what’s going on.
- Follow Up and Close
Following up is another essential key in building your home business empire. An effective way of doing this is creating a group chat for those people that are open and want to stay in touch. Have a group chat for those that are interested in your business/product because your prospects need to also meet other people within your circle.
- Teaching Them How to Master the 4 Steps
The end goal is to be able to teach these steps to the new clients. Again, it’s all about legacy leadership; helping people changed their lives and reaching their full potentials.

Rank #13: 84: How to Avoid Burnout and Overwhelm
In this episode, I’ll be giving you some tips on how to avoid burnout and overwhelm, on how to build a business around your life and not the opposite. I'll go over how critical resting and renewal is to the success of your business.
I’ll begin by sharing with you a trend that I see with a lot of leaders around me. I’ve noticed that they are not self-caring when it comes to building their business and the type of business they are building. This often leads to burnout, ruining family relationships and even affecting their personal health. Yes, our goal is freedom and success, but what good is success if it ruins other aspects of our lives?
If you carefully implement the tips in this podcast, then I believe that you’ll achieve positive lifestyle outcomes.
Tip #1: Start leveraging the power of technology
- The technology is already available for us; all we need to do is use it to our advantage. I suggest that you embrace things like doing a live video and hone your skills in marketing on social media.
Tip #2: Be more intentional about developing leaders on your team
- As leaders, we usually have this mindset that we must be on available 24/7. The catch is, to serve your team at the highest level you must become less available to them. Start working with your team and focus more on leadership development.
Tip #3: Be intentional about scheduling your business hours
- You need to set a dedicated time for work hours as well as family or self-time. Yes, you must be flexible in the needs of the business, but at the same time create those boundaries. Learn to create boundaries around your work and your personal life. Have that time of rest or simply a dedicated time with yourself, your spouse or your children.
In order for you to avoid burnout, understand the importance of rest and renewal, learn the importance of being intentional in your business, work smart and think about positive lifestyle outcomes.

Rank #14: 48: Building a Massive Following on Social Media
Today we are talking about how to build a massive following on social media. Hopefully by now, many of you are using Facebook and creating videos to build your following. Perhaps you are doing this but you are still struggling. This can be extremely frustrating! Most people get discouraged and quit at this point. However, you must remember that marketing takes time and it is hard work.
In this episode I share the formula for how I built my social media following to where it is today. This took me over six months of creating content every day. Consistent application of this formula will bring the results you are looking for.
Social Media Growth Formula:
Attention + Trust = Growth of your following
Attention has three parts:
- Be authentic and abstain from watering down your true self
- Be generous with your knowledge, information, and time
- Be consistent each and every day
When you leverage these three items you gain attention which is followed by trust and thus your following grows. For you to gain a following you have to have the long game in mind. You must have a willingness to give and stick with it!
I hope this episode give you a ton of value. Remember not to get discouraged and follow the formula!

Rank #15: 55: Four Ways to Stay Committed in Your Business
Today I want to talk to you about commitment and share with you four key strategies to help you stay committed to performing the right actions in your business to create massive results.
Being that last weekend was the Breakthrough Academy Live event, I want to talk about commitment because it’s an appropriate topic. Many attend an event or training and you have this new motivation and enthusiasm for your business. Then you get back and Monday comes around, then Tuesday, and it’s harder to get out of bed, and then Wednesday and Thursday and before you know if you have not changed at all!
Commitment is very simply doing the thing you said you would do long after the mood you said it in has left you. It is easy to be committed when you’re in a peak state. But when you are not in that environment anymore it is much harder. Many people are committed until it doesn’t fit in their schedule or its too tough. You must be taking action every single day as these actions will really tell you who you are committed to.
The four keys to commitment:
- Mindset – You must learn to discipline your mind to stay with the commitment. You must learn to overcome the obstacles that are going to come your way. It is a necessary part of success to deal with negativity, rejection, and failure. You must learn to recognize your own greatness and stop being someone your note! You need to remove the fearful thinking that is surrounding yourself. Self-doubt will kill your commitment. Mindset is everything!
- Refine Your Goals – You can’t hit a target if you don’t know what the target is. You must make clear and specific goals and know exactly what it is and exactly what you need to do to get there. Some of you have no idea what you need to do to get to the next level. Get very specific!
- Change Your Focus – What we focus on is what we feel. Be grateful for the team you have and the results you’ve created but focus on the future. Forget about the past and focus on where you want to go! Do not wait to feel motivated. The problem is some of you don’t feel motivated and you wait to act. Motivation is very simple. Motivation comes through disciplined action. Sometimes you must force yourself to do it even when you don’t feel like it. Champions commit to disciplined actions every single day and they pay very little attention to how they feel.
- Accountability – I highly recommend you find someone that can hold you accountable to the disciplined actions that you need to take. Every single week you need to monitor how close you are to your goals and be rooted in the reality of your business at every single moment. With all this, make sure you celebrate the small wins.
I really want to challenge you to stay committed to your goals and don’t fall into the trap of having that moment of inspiration to have a bigger and better life and then having that fade away! Follow these four keys principles and stay committed to your business!

Rank #16: 52: Change Your Focus, Change Your Life
Today we talk about changing your focus and changing your life! At any moment of our life, we can begin to choose to think differently and empower ourselves. Unfortunately, part of the human condition is to focus on the negative and create pessimistic thoughts within our mind. It is often times these thoughts that create the condition bias that leads to our eventual results in life. Today I want to empower you with strategies to be aware of the cause of this negativity and to consciously make a decision to change your focus.
Some important questions to think about:
- Do you generally spend your time focusing on things that you have or things that you don’t have?
- Do you focus on what good qualities you exemplify or how you are not good enough by comparing yourself to others?
- Are you focused on the past or are you focused on the future?
In addition to these reflection questions, I want you to start to notice your own self talk. Many people would never talk to someone else the way they talk to themselves. Now is the time to stop being so negative and focus on the positive!
An important component of your focus is confirmation bias. Confirmation bias is the idea that you only see and hear what you focus on. For example, if you are focusing on how you are not good enough, then you will begin to find examples and reminders of this on a regular basis throughout your life. A powerful alternative is to shift your focus and leverage this confirmation bias in your favor.
Here is an exercise to perform: Make a list of ten things that you can be grateful for and every morning read this list. This will allow you to start your day with gratitude. Gratitude in many ways is the gateway drug to motivation. In addition, you need to celebrate the small wins within your life and business. Big accomplishments are nothing more than a bunch of small wins along the way.
Begin to use these strategies to change your focus and ultimately change your life today!
Quick reminder: I have a live training event coming up on April 7 – 9 that you should strongly consider. Be sure to check it out here: www.BreakthroughAcademyLive.com

Rank #17: 107: Do you Struggle with Consistency
Let’s take a moment and talk about the idea of inconsistency and why so many network marketers struggle with consistency in their business.
The struggle in taking consistent action is coming from a place of unworthiness
I personally believe that if you struggle with consistency in your business it is actually because you have limiting beliefs about yourself.
Your problem is NOT lack of time, or your spouse isn’t supportive, or the kids won’t give you 5 minutes to get your daily work done, or even that your job exhausts you! Nope! Inconsistency in your business actually is born out of issues of your own personal worthiness.
There are two types of people that experience inconsistency in their business.
The first type of person only struggles with consistency from time-to-time. Their business and productivity has highs and lows.
The second type of person finds consistency a constant and daily struggle.
Join me as I talk more about the role of identity and worthiness and how they impact the success of your business.
I also share different action plans that you can implement to overcome your own inconsistencies in your business.

Rank #18: 116: How to Close Your Month out Strong and Crush Your Goals
Are you frustrated with team members who don’t take any action on their monthly goals? Or how about team members who don’t even have monthly goals in the first place? How can YOU, as the team leader, set and achieve goals based on relying on other people taking action?
Today I’ll be sharing with you leadership & team building strategies to help you close out a month strong with momentum and excitement to help you crush your goals. It’s a very different way to approach the topic of goal setting and working with your teams.
You don’t hit big goals in your business by trying to be everything to everyone
There are actually two parts to reaching a goal: 1) the setting of the goal, and 2) the action that takes place to meet the set goal. But, how do you work with people who have not ‘owned it” and stated, “This is my goal for the month!”?
Effective goal setting and achievement is all about driving production and learning how to really motivate your people to action. And as leaders, we need to learn that owning a business with a ‘voluntary army’ of team members means we have to learn WHO and HOW to influence people on our team. Influence is leadership!
And this is where I see a lot of team leaders struggle. Most of your team members probably don’t even know how to set big goals and that these goals are, in fact, achievable. And instead of being a servant leader and working with the team members to help them define and achieve their own goals, we end being a “SELF-SERVING” leader, asking team members to contribute towards a ‘team goal.’
So many of us (myself included at one point), miss out on the concept of Legacy Leadership. Legacy Leaders understand that a personal goal means nothing unless it’s based on the solid foundation of helping other people succeed on their team and achieve their goals.
In this episode, I am going to share exactly how to reach your month-end goals through servant leadership, how to effectively set goals, and how to implement an action plan for hitting your goals in your team that puts your team first…but still allows you to crush your month-end goals in the process!

Rank #19: 67: The 4 Mental Enemies Of Success
In this episode I’ll be mixing things up a little bit. I am sharing a recording of a training that I created way back when I first started working on Your Virtual Upline called the Four Mental Enemies of Success.
Understanding the philosophies of this business is critical for your success. Unless you change your mindset, there is no amount of “how to’s” that are going to offer a real solution for you.
Let’s face it: there are SO many obstacles in this business. However, dealing with these obstacles and roadblocks becomes so much easier once you have an awareness of the Four Mental Enemies of Success. Every leader in this industry deals with these enemies every single day, and you’re going to need to learn to include them as an eventual part of your success.
The first enemy is rejection. More people are going to tell you no than yes. We have expectations on what we think people are going to do and say, and that’s when we run into problems.
The second is deception. People are going to lie INCLUDING your friends and family. People will say they’re interested and ready to commit, but not everyone is ready to take the plunge and change their life. What you need to focus on is moving forward.
The third is apathy. This business starts as a numbers game and evolves into a people business where you develop relationships. It’s easy to sit back and come up with excuses for yourself, but you need to delve into what is difficult and push yourself to be the absolute best.
The fourth is attrition. Don’t expect to continuously hit grand slams, but focus on stringing together a bunch of singles.
Once you push through these enemies, your business will see the results. Success will prove to be a matter of just hanging on long after others have let go.

Hopefully you get a ton of value out of the training, feel free to share the episode with anyone that you think it could help!
