So I’ve held off writing a review mostly because I’m just not that type of person (I had a yelp review written about me once and if you’ve ever been in that position you know it can be TRAUMATIZING). However, I felt compelled to do so because, a) I’ve had some wine and b) this podcast deserves every star and recognition it can get. Em and Christine are hilarious and entertaining hosts delivering paranormal and true crime stories every week that never fail to make me laugh out loud or slightly pee my pants in fear. Any old podcast can recite paragraphs of info but these two insert their personality and opinions and life experiences into the stories. If you’re only here for the cold hard facts (just the facts ma’am) then go ahead and pick through some tedious CSI documentation. But if you want true entertainment, listen to these two. You won’t regret it. #teamwineshake

You might need your EMF readers for this one because we've got two intense stories today. Em brings us the incredibly well-documented and terrifying (we mean beautiful) tale of Harold the doll while Christine tackles the freaking Zodiac Killer. Don't worry, our EMF definitely WASN'T GOING BATSHIT DURING RECORDING. We're fine. We think. We've also discovered we're unwittingly part of the haunted doll market and Harold might have overfilled Christine's wine glass... and that's why we drink!

Welcome to episode 56, featuring a surprise ghost story from Em’s stepmom! Oh, and a full episode of creepy. Em covers the notorious Enfield Haunting, which inspired the Conjuring 2 and features a lot of walking furniture. By the way, Em’s source was most definitely NOT a Korean Teen Pop Sensation Blog. Just sayin’. Meanwhile, Christine covers the murders of the McStay family, who vanished near the Mexican border and resurfaced in shallow graves in the desert three years later. Their deaths remain a mystery to this day.

Other notable moments include Christine’s pants falling off, the announcement of our first Facebook Live event, and the monumental discovery that Em’s grandmother published a book on menopause.

As far as stories go, Em takes Christine back in time to drink a couple a’ cowboys under the table at the Driskill Hotel, and Christine takes Em back in time to their glory days as Millennial Spiritualists in Southeast Kansas, hanging with America’s first serial killers, the Bloody Benders.

And that’s why we drink!
