Episode 16: March, April and May 1987

The guys are joined by Charlie Niemeyer for a look at GREEN LANTERN CORPS #201, 211 and #212 as the Green Lanterns' Russian adventure comes to a fatal end, before their attention is turned to a new fight as their fiercest foes return -- and the end is explosive! Also this episode, the guys conclude their brief look at LEGENDS, which leads into a whole new era for Guy Gardner in JUSTICE LEAGUE #1!

Episode 15: December 1986, January and February 1987

In Soviet Russia, comics podcast about you! That's right, folks, it's back to the halcyon days of the Cold War 1980s in this episode of Green Lantern's Light as Kilowog joins the Commies?! Join us for a propaganda-filled look at GREEN LANTERN CORPS ANNUAL #2 and GREEN LANTERN CORPS #207, 208 and 209. Also in this episode, a brief look at DC's first major post-Crisis event: Legends!

Michael, Jeffrey and David are joined by fellow Green Lantern fan and podcaster Shawn Engel for a look at GREEN LANTERN #204, GREEN LANTERN #205, GREEN LANTERN CORPS (yes, we said CORPS) #206 and, last but not least, SECRET ORIGINS #7... with the secret origin of the one-and-only Guy Gardner! Join us for geekery and Guy love as Green Lantern is menaced by Black Hand, Kilowog gets his Ike Turner on and Arisia reveals some startling developments!

Episode 13: June, July and August 1986 (with special guest Shawn Engel)

It’s the beginning of a brand new era for the Green Lanterns as the guys look at GREEN LANTERN #201, 202 and #203. Redesigned costumes! New characters! Funny animals! This one’s got it all, folks! Plus, more Transformers and Go-Bots references than should really be allowed in one podcast.

Episode 12: March, April and May 1986

This episode, after a brief bit of listener feedback, the guys take a look at GREEN LANTERN (Vol. 2) #199 and GREEN LANTERN (Vol. 2) #200. Only two issues this time, but they mark a major turning point in the life of the Corps. Everything that's been building over the last few episodes culminates here and sets the stage for the next millennium!

Buckle in, folks, because the countdown to the end begins here. This episode, the guys look at GREEN LANTERN (Vol. 2) #193, 194 and 195 which wrap up the Star Sapphire story and then sends the Green Lanterns plunging head first into the epic Crisis on Infinite Earths! Plus: Guy Gardner! Uh-oh.

Episode 9: July, August and September 1985

Len Wein

This time, David, Jeffrey and Michael sit down with legendary comic book writer and editor Len Wein for a chat about his time writing and editing Green Lantern. Wein discusses how he came on to the book, plot points from his run and the circumstances surrounding his departure. There's also talk about Wein's return with the recent DC RETROACTIVE Special, as well as some of Wein's thoughts on the New 52 and "Before Watchmen." Plus, Wein answers the question we've all been asking: "Why the Shark?"

Green Lantern's Light is a monthly podcast exploring the late-Bronze and Modern Age adventures of the Green Lantern!

Breaking from the regular format, the guys got together for a look at DC RETROACTIVE: GREEN LANTERN -- THE 80s. The issue features Len Wein and Joe Staton teaming up for a lost chapter (sort of) in the life of the Emerald Crusader set (again, sort of) in between the pages of issues 187 and 188.

Special: DC Retroactive: Green Lantern -- The 80s

It's the beginning of brand new era for the podcast -- and for Green Lantern -- as the guys look at GREEN LANTERN (Vol. 2) #187, 188 and 189. These issues bring onboard a brand new creative team and sees the departure of many familiar characters. It's the dawning of a new day for Green Lantern, and the perfect jumping-on point for Green Lantern's Light!

Episode 7: January, February and March 1985

We bring a close to the calendar year of 1984 and the Len Wein/Dave Gibbons era of Green Lantern with a super-sized episode looking at GREEN LANTERN (Vol. 2) #184, 185 and 186, where Green Lantern battles the menace of Eclipso -- and someone's not making it out alive. This episode, we also dive into TALES OF THE GREEN LANTERN CORPS ANNUAL #1, featuring an universe-spanning tale that threatens the entire Green Lantern Corps!

Episode 6: October, November and December 1984

The action continues as the guys look at GREEN LANTERN (Vol. 2) #181, 182 and 183! The fallout from last episode's issues continues as Hal confronts the Guardians and quits the Corps and new Lantern is then called. Who is the new mystery lantern and how will he stop the menace of a vengeance-seeking Major Disaster?

Episode 5: July, August and September 1984

This time, the guys charge forward into 1984 with a look at GREEN LANTERN (Vol. 2) #178, 179 and 180! All around it's a step up from last episode as the Demolition Team attacks and Hal must hold fast to his pledge to the Guardians... and then deal with the fallout. It's a pivotal set of issues laying the groundwork for big changes that are right around the corner.

Episode 4: April, May and June 1984

Just in time for Christmas, we dive head-first into 1984 with a look at Green Lantern comics from January, February and March of that year. As Hal adjusts to life back at home, the Shark surfaces to take a bite out of our Emerald Crusader. Then in issue #177, we get a flashback to a twice-told tale where Hal hooks horns with the huge-headed hoodlum, Hector Hammond!

Episode 3: January, February and March 1984

We get right down to it and kick off our regular coverage this episode with a look at Green Lantern comics from October, November and December 1983. First up is GREEN LANTERN (Vol. 2) #172, which brings Hal Jordan back to Earth after a year-long exile. We then move on to issues 173 and 174 as Hal defends both Ferris Air and Los Angeles when he takes on a new menace in the form of the Javelin!"

Welcome to a special episode of Green Lantern's Light! Even though the show is barely underway and Christmas is still more than a month away, we're already handing out treats! In this special bonus episode, the guys got together to share some random thoughts on and reactions to the one-hour premiere of "Green Lantern: The Animated Series!"

This episode, we kick things off with an introduction to the show, ourselves and, of course, Green Lantern! As a quick primer before the main event begins, we’ve selected three stories to catch you up to speed on the mythology of the Green Lantern Corps. First up is “The Planet of Doomed Men” from GREEN LANTERN (Vol. 2) #1, which recounts Hal’s origin and introduces the Guardians. That’s followed by “The Day 100,000 People Vanished” from GREEN LANTERN (Vol. 2) #7 giving us our first look at the dastardly Sinestro! And, finally, we wrap things up with “Beware My Power” from GREEN LANTERN (Vol. 2) #87, introducing John Stewart!
