He Entrepreneurism and out of the box thinking really goes  back to his elementary school days where he fully discovered how different he thought compared to the rest of the class. Yes, they put him in the “smart kids” group and left him alone to figure it out. Always a precocious student, the end of public school happened mid-year in his senior year of high school and it was on to college in the spring. The next twenty some years saw him in the service (USAF) and in a few management training programs and working his way up in the computer industry (hardware maintenance from a toolkit to a directorship) and finally, believe it or not, into retail sales of home electronics. Working for the good guys gave Don insights into business that he hadn’t ever experienced and it also brought someone into his circle who has since become his business partner, Chris.   GOAL:    His big goal is to help more people, helping then stop stalling and achieve.   ACTION STEPS:   A primary way which he is accomplishing this goal is by doing Internet marketing training with his wife   QUOTES:   “Motivation is like a shower you needed every day” “There are no successful entrepreneurs that do it alone” “Active motivation versus passive motivation” what’s the difference?     RESOURCE LINKS:   His website:     For more action steps and ways to learn how to take consistent and regular actions forward check out our "daily action steps for a champion” with me Anthony Witt tcepodcast.com/plan

Rank #4: 191: How to start a business, the business planning guide with Anthony Witt

Podcast cover
Read more

Starting up your own company is not an easy thing to do. Most often we get stopped by analysis paralysis from accomplishing our goals and starting our company. In today’s episode we discuss several common things which hold us back in respect to starting our own company. The questions we answered today’s episode come from you the listener. Question #1. How do I use blogging to build a business following leading to sales. This question is a common question which can be correlated across entire spectrum of social media and content-based work. The first most important aspect of blogging or content-based work is to be consistent. Consistency must come first. Once you have developed consistency and have maintain that consistency you also need to look into the value added which you are giving your audience. If you’re not providing them with valuable information they will not stick around for the long term. This means if you are not “consistently” adding “value” you will not be able to convert your followers into leads or sales. Finally you must have a mechanism to capture your audiences information so that you can begin to put them in your sales funnel. In order to go from blogging to sales you must have some type of conversion mechanism alongside your consistent value. Question #2. How to raise capital. How to put together a perfect business plan. How do you know when its the right idea? Each one of these questions can be extremely complex and could take up an entire episode, today we briefly scratch the surface on how to address these three questions. In raising capital we need to look at the industry as a whole and find out where capital is being raised and how capital is being raised. Don’t simply rely on the banks rely on other individuals in the industry to see how and what is possible. There is no such thing as a perfect business plan we must be willing to adapt and change as the environment and industries which we find yourselves change. Finally, finding the right idea can be somewhat of a myth or unicorn. Because of this we should focus less on finding the right idea and more on finding a good idea that is right for us. This all started with knowing yourself respect to your strengths, your weaknesses, your tendencies, and your preferences.

Rank #10: 218: Smart goals: How to be measurable in your goal setting with Anthony Witt

Podcast cover
Read more

Today we are talking about step two in the smart goal setting process. How to calculate in measure! STEP #2 MEASURABLE: keeping track of your progress and taking measurements along the way is the next step in accomplishing your goals. This aspect of goal setting sets roughly around how you will accomplish your goals and integrates the calculations measurements. Knowing the how, where and what of the measurement metrics you will use while accomplishing your goal will help you keep your goal in front of mind so that you can achieve it. STEP #1 SPECIFIC: When setting a goal’s most important aspect to start with is a goal that will be specific. Specific goals are more likely to be accomplished then goals that are General. At this stage of the goal setting process you’ll be asking yourself the what, where, and who. Asking these questions and being specific on their answers will help you to reduce fall out and burned out on your goal. Eliminating burnout and fallout of the goal will go a long way and your ability to accomplish what you have set out and desire to accomplish. STEP #3 ATTAINABLE: in order for you to accomplish your goals they must be realistic and obtainable. Out rages and big picture goals are great for long-term direction but our goals are not accomplishable they will be forgotten. Setting attainable goals in respect to the other four steps of smart goal setting will help you to create goals that are achievable. Setting attainable goals essentially is the heart behind whether not you have the physical, mental, spiritual or otherwise capacity to achieve what do you have set. STEP #4 RELEVANT: if your goals do not fit into the big picture of your life in the direction you desire to go you will not see them come to completion. Goals that fit into the bigger picture of your life in the direction that you desire to go on more likely to be accomplished because they are relevant to your hearts desire in your life’s mission. Although a topic for another day setting your mission and direction will help you accomplish your goals. Fleeting desires and wants the did not follow along with the life direction you have will negatively affect your ability to accomplish your goals because of their lack of relevance to you over time. STEP #5 TIME_BOUND: it has been said that if you want to accomplish something create a sense of urgency around it, that is why having time restrictions on your goals will help you to keep them in the forefront. Life has a tendency to pull our attention and many different directions and so when we set time boundaries around our goals we force ourselves to always be working towards them because of the urgency we have created with our time restrictions. It can sometimes be helpful to start with your time restrictions and then set the other four elements of your smart goal.

Podcast cover
Read more

How to find the work you love, 15 ways to begin the process of living your life and fulfilling your mission with Anthony Witt 1. Childhood Dreams - What activities did you enjoy as a ten-to-fourteen-year-old kid? What made you smile and brought you happiness and a sense of accomplishment? There's a good chance those same activities will bring you enjoyment today. Renew your youthful activities and incorporate them into your adult world. Blend these together to create something you can do that is unique and interesting. We grow up because we take on adult-sized responsibilities; this doesn't mean we can't enjoy life in a youthful way. 2. Play - Take time to play and allow yourself to be creative. Giving yourself playtime may open your eyes to new ideas and things that make you feel alive and accomplished. You also might be able to turn your play into your vocation. Is there a way to turn your hobby or the things you do when you play for a living? Brainstorm ideas of how to make a living from your play.
 3. Bookstore Rabbit Hole - Take a trip to the bookstore. What three sections do you gravitate toward first? Can you spend hours in those sections lost in discovery and interest? I find I always end up in the same three areas of the bookstore. This isn't a coincidence; it's a sign I've found my areas of interest and a place where my passions grow.
 4. Ask A Friend - Ask a few friends or family members what they believe are your strengths. What are you known for? What are you really good at and what are your weaknesses? Ask them to be honest with you. Once enough people answer these questions you will likely see similar answers and patterns. Use this as feedback to discover what you are good at and how you can best serve others.
 5. Freewrite Brainstorm - Grab a pencil and some paper or use your the notes function on your computer and write down all the things you love to do.
