Jezebel the blog stopped being fun when it stopped being a feminist pop culture and media blog and started posting topics that I would have written for my thesis at sarah Lawrence. For example, Hazel Cills on jack antonoff: the comments on her article were about how subjective and unnecessary the post was and yet, she keeps posting these highly generalized and politicized reviews on music. So then she was in this podcast to discuss alleged misogyny of antonoff. Why not spend that energy introducing me to female musicians that aren’t cardib (who does nothing for women and nodal yellow was literally a remake of another song)? Anyway I miss gawker old jez and I miss pot psychology—live an older millennial (your original target audience—when I talk to younger people early 20s, they have no idea what jez is—and now the only thing to see is the same clickbait that’s everywhere else.
