This podcast went WAYYY downhill. The new host is a peripheral Bills fan. That’s it. The draft history review was laughable. Couldn’t pronounce most names. Honestly questioned about Willis McGahee: “was he the one that blew out his knee?” Ouch.

The 2019 NFL Season has officially began, as of this past Wednesday at 4pm. Rumors of signings from Monday til Wednesday circulated around the web, until they were made official, and I must say, I'm pretty thrilled with Brandon Beane's work so far.
In what I’ve stated as Beane's most important off-season yet, he has risen to the challenge, made great deals in getting talent to Buffalo, and addressing the Bill's needs. Predominantly Offensive Talent, leading me to believe he'll utilize the draft to bolster the defense.

The 2019 NFL Draft is completed. The Buffalo Bills have secured the player rights to 8 Collegiate Athletes, as well as a handful of Undrafted Free Agents. In our opinion, it was an excellent showing for GM Brandon Beane, who has had a very good offseason. Of course, nothing truly matters in the grand scheme of things until players hit the field and play against elite level opposition, but from a Draft perspective, Buffalo did pretty good.
Listen in and get to know the newest drafted players for the Buffalo Bills, their Collegiate Statistics, and takes from Jeremy and Matt.

Rank #6: Episode 58 - Offseason Review and Predictions w/ Matt and Jeremy

The off-season has been relatively quiet in Buffalo, at least the week or so. I'm sure that General Manager Brandon Beane and staff are working incredibly hard in their offices, waiting for the completion of the Super Bowl to implement whatever plan that they have to use their valuable cap space.

The rebuild is one of great importance. Jobs are on the line if Josh Allen does not pan out. While it may not seem like a big deal, because people lose jobs all of the time in the NFL, but, for an organization trying to get it's footing and to be among the league's greats, stability is key. There is a lot on the line with our soon to be sophomore QB.

Build the offensive line with the draft and garner weapons with Cap Space? Or vice versa. Matt and Jeremy give their theories, and then some in this week's episode of the BillsWire Podcast

Rank #8: 14: Episode 74 - Bills Preseason Chat

Podcast cover
Read more
Preseason is the time to work out the kinks before Week 1 gets going. As any team, Buffalo has had its fair share of kinks this camp and preseason period. Injuries have been the biggest detractor, but it has opened up some windows for young, talented, and players on the cut bubble, potentially making 53-man roster cuts a little more difficult to narrow down.
All-in-all, the Bills defense is quality, potentially a Top 5 Defense, the depth chart battles at Wide Receiver, and switches at O-Line have been the most enjoyable aspects to watch. As we get closer towards Week 1, expect more adjustments, and potential out of the box moves to get last looks at certain players.
Also, one thing that Bills fans should be grateful for, at the very least, is avoiding Antonio Brown. The star Wide Receiver has been in the news in recent weeks, and not for good behavior. In a critical year for Josh Allen, the coaching regime, and even the front office, they had certainly avoided a potentially disastrous acquisition.

Rank #13: Episode 57 : Bills Stadium Survey and Renovation vs New Stadium Thoughts

Podcast cover
Read more
This Past Week, in a relatively slow week of news, the Buffalo Bills signed a former CFL Wide Receiver, Duke Williams, who happens to be the one of the best CFL WR's statistically. Last Season with the Edmonton Eskimos, he finished with 1,579 Receiving Yards on the Season. Hopefully, we can see that type of performance and a chemistry with Josh Allen next season.
Also, this past week, the Bills sent out a survey concerning a new or renovated Stadium. It's a relatively in depth survey, which should take roughly 5 minutes to take, but for episode's sake, Matt discusses every question asked.
There are pros and cons to every angle, every aspect when discussing any stadium talk. Renovating New Era Field or Building a New Stadium? Making it Open Air, or Indoor? With a retractable roof? Keeping it in Orchard Park or moving it elsewhere? So many possibilities. So many differing opinions. If you haven't taken the survey yet, a quick google search will guide your way, and make your voice or opinion heard.

Rank #20: Episode 55: Personnel Releases and Nick Wojton's 13 Things to Look to in the Offseason

Podcast cover
Read more
The First week of Buffalo's Off Season saw the release of 3 Personnel!
OL Coordinator Juan Castillo, WR Coach Terry Robiskie, and much anticipated Special Teams Coach Danny Crossman.
All 3 were some of Buffalo's weakest points this season. The Offensive Line could not protect Josh Allen adequately, and only enabled our star RB LeSean McCoy an average of 3.2 yards per carry, a career low. The Wide Receiving Core was an interchangeable mix, with some shining stars in Zay Jones, Isaiah McKenzie and Robert Foster. Special Teams has also not helped put Buffalo in winning situations at all this year. Change was needed.
Matt reviews Nick Wojton's article earlier this week on the 13 Things to Look for in the Offseason, which was incredibly well detailed. There are a lot of check marks that need to be taken going forward into the next season.
