On this week's Electric Libertyland Brian takes some quick swipes at the lies told by union advocates on Labor Day, and contrasts it with the lies told by Police unions after innocents are killed "in the line of duty." Or the head of the FBI! He also touches on unions and politicos allied against Lyft, Uber and other "gig" labor proposals in CA. Rank #3: ELL 069: Journalist Ford Fischer On Newnan, Georgia’s Neo Nazi Rally And More
On this week’s Electric Libertyland host Brian McWilliams rails a bit about Rand Paul’s flipping opposition to Mike Pompeo’s Secretary of State nomination, then welcomes in journalist Ford Fischer of News2Share.com to discuss his experience on the ground in Newnan, GA covering a neo nazi rally that drew far more Antifa than nazis. The Georgia event resulted in conflicts between the massive police force in attendance and counter-protesters, both of whom outnumbered event organizers many times over.
Brian and Ford then move on to discuss questions of the state’s duty to protect free speech vs. simply stand back to allow it, and where that line is drawn. Finally, the pair look at a conversation Ford had with sex workers following the passing of the FOSTA Sex Trafficking bill that has curtailed free speech online and damaged sex workers’ ability to make a living, while arguably doing nothing to stop actual sex trafficking.

To wrap things up Brian rages about old "homophobic" tweets found belonging to the 2018 Heisman Trophy Winner, before discussing France's fuel protests.

On this week's Electric Libertyland Brian gets into the morally bankrupt media attacking Rand Paul for using a Canadian hospital, debunks the 70% tax rate argument and then loses his mind over a new bill that would deny lenders and landlords collecting from any government worker during the shutdown: a clear preference for the well being of their own over private citizens. In today’s episode, Marc vents some frustration before welcoming in the co-host of the Scottish Liberty Podcast - as well as the “Be Yourself and Love It” podcast. Since then Antony has become a hardcore libertaran and taken his beliefs to the masses in his homeland of Scotland and abroad with the Scottish Liberty Podcast. Marc and Antony discuss the best ways to approach discussing the ideas of liberty with both those on the right and the left, and the unique nature of turning someone into a libertarian, one argument at a time.

Rank #20: 401. A Marxist and a Libertarian Debate the Labor Theory of Value: Dr. Richard Wolff vs. Antony Sammeroff
In today's episode of the flagship Lions of Liberty podcast, Marc continues the trend of debates after the episode 400 discussion on abortion by hosting a conversation about the Labor Theory of Value, a key component of Marxist economic theory. Speaking in favor the theory is Marxist economic and professor Dr. Richard Wolff, while taking the negative is our old friend Antony Sammeroff, who was most recently on the show debating Universal Basic Income.
The result is a great conversation that you don't often find out - an honest and open dialogue between two passionate people with two vastly differing world views. I'm really happy with how this conversation turned out, and I know the Lions will enjoy it too!
