Great info but Aziz can’t stop laughing at or agreeing with himself and Ashaya can’t stop going up register in both pitch and volume most times she speaks and tramples over Aziz or any guests with seemingly any thought that comes to mind. Unfortunate because they know the books cold and have great insight.

Interruptions are too much for me...

I am giving this podcast 4 stars because the audio quality and the content are actually very good! I am a recent listener, picking up this podcast during season 8. However, what I am finding untenable is the constant interruptions by the third chair. I really wanted this group to decide if they were a two person show or three person show, it just hasn't happened and I can't wait for them to figure it out, its too distracting for me as a listender. I think other people should absolutely subscribe and give this podcast a chance, it just wasn't for me.

Rank #17: Religion & Magic: Part 3 - Weirwood Tour (spoilers)

Podcast cover
Read more

The episode features themes of blood and ancestry, as weirwoods tend to be inextricably tied to the surrounding area, both physically and culturally. Given the broad scope of this topic, quite a variety of related subjects come up. Heart tree-murdering Melisandre makes an appearance or two, the Wall is discussed as well as several members of House Stark and some very out of the way places you¢??ve barely heard of. We go from Beyond the Wall to the far south, considering not just where the weirwoods are, but where they might have been in the past. Given that there are so many places left unseen in the story, we make educated guesses where other trees might be. This isn¢??t just about where the trees are, though¢?¦ The absence of weirwoods can be as conspicuous as the most grotesque Heart Tree face.
