Rank #1: Finding Contentment in a Coveting Culture • Ep 66
Today I am talking about our media saturated culture and how it causes us to be discontent or to covet. This in turn causes us to break a commandment. Everywhere we look there are images showing us what our lives should look like- but are they representing the truth? You have a choice in what you put into your mind and what things will transform your mind. Are you allowing good transformation or worldly transformation? Are you being transformed in your thinking by the images you see in this world or by the renewing of your mind through His Word? Choose to be saturated with God's Word and not social media. Fill your mind with truths, and your life will reflect that accordingly.
Rank #2: Simple Homeschool•Podcast Ep 62

Rank #3: Finding Freedom From Clutter! Episode10
I recently wrote about living a clutter-free life and that post really hit home with so many people. Tonight, I sat down to discuss this issue, and really get to the heart. For years now I have been simplifying and living a more clutter-free life, and last year it all really came to a head when we moved to a new home. We took only what was necessary, and I have found so much freedom in having less stuff. It was a fresh start. The irony of our society is that we have so much stuff, and continue to seek more, yet we are finding people more and more stressed, busy, and dissatisfied. Why is that? Our joy comes from so much more than stuff and externals do not define us. Jesus does. Even if you aren’t moving to a new home, you can still choose to start fresh and lessen the amount of clutter in your life. Face it, more stuff means more stuff to manage and it often brings more stress. Do you want more peace? More joy? Freedom to live life without being weighed down by stuff? Join me as we discuss finding freedom from clutter!
Rank #4: Time Management Through the Lens of God: What Does God Say About How We Spend Our Time? Ep 80
All of human history has always had 24 hours in each day, and for many of those centuries most time was spent merely surviving. Yet, our culture is constantly saying we don't have enough time! God knew what He was doing when He created 24 hours in each day, so how can we use the time He created for us well? Today I am encouraging you to manage your time well by looking at time through the lens of God. I'm sharing some Bible verses about time and hoping that if you view time through the lens of God, it may help how you to use it more wisely. Before you can manage your time well, you need to understand it and the One who created it. www.simplylivingforhim.com
Rank #5: Being Consistent in Your Homeschool
Are you trying to keep it consistent when you are really a fly-by-the-seat-of-your- pants mama? By nature, I am not consistent. I am more of a free spirit. I get an idea and want to run with it, and then a few weeks later, it often gets replaced with another new idea! Yet, I know homeschool requires a level of consistency so that we keep order. Come and listen in as I talk about how God has transformed me in this area. There is nothing I have done on my own, but He works when I ask Him for guidance! We will also talk about how we can have those unplanned days too, as we balance consistency with spontaneity for our kids and our homeschools!
Rank #6: The Benefits of Living Simply
Today I am talking about the benefits of living a more simple life. This is not about minimalism and there are no "rules" to living simply. But at the core, we are going to discuss the freedom found in living for God and not for the things of this world. I am also sharing some things about me that may surprise you!

Social media is something people ask me about all the time. Today I am tackling the subject and how we can live with social media. It doesn't have to be so hard! Almost ten years ago, God called me to the journey of homeschooling, and I went kicking and screaming! With family opposition, my own pride and insecurities, the odds were stacked against me...but GOD prevailed! I sought out on this journey for "just one year." Now, I haven't looked back, and couldn't imagine doing anything else. Whether God is calling you to homeschool or something else, this podcast will encourage you to step out in faith, whether you are comfortable or not...becauseGod will equip you for whatever He calls you to. It will be life changing.
Rank #10: How We Have Thrived as a One-Income Family•Ep 78
This is not a “financial advice episode” but an encouragement episode. We are not going to tell you how to make money or start a business, but get to the heart of the matter. Today I have my very favorite guest with me–my hubby, Steve! We have been a one-income family since early on in our marriage and I wanted to share our story to encourage others that it is possible to survive and THRIVE as a one-income family. We were married right out of college, had a baby that first year, lost three jobs, had four kids, and homeschooled- all while remaining a one-income family. God has truly provided for our needs when we sought Him first. We are not saying our way is the right way to do things (only God can tell you what is right for your family) but we are sharing how we have managed to listen to God above society’s standards for the past 17 years. God has given Steve a thriving business as our sole provider and has even provided opportunities for me to contribute along the way. A simple lifestyle with our eyes on God has made all the difference. A Few Things to Mention: We use Samaritans Ministries for Healthcare Coverage Steve is the sole provider of our family with his business, Farmhaus Studios. He is a graphic designer who worked in the advertising field for many years before the instability of it all led us to start a family business and become self-employed. He now is able to use his talents in all areas of media- illustration, web, marketing, etc. And he is able to let God “run” his business 😉 Over the years, God has given me the opportunity to contribute to our family as well through my work at Simply Living for Him and Bible Based Homeschooling. He has continued to make it work for us by allowing me to have income as well, and we know He has provided to allow us to stick to our convictions to be home with our family. Pre-kids I worked in the health/medical industry and have a degree in Home Economics with a concentration in Nutrition. We see God’s hand in our entire journey to begin as a stay at home mother and now a stay at home family. All glory goes to Him alone!
