I first heard this lovely tune a few weeks ago in a jam session and it showed up twice in other sessions. Hence, it was time I learned this tune. I set up a backing track and played with it until I was happy with my arrangement.

I posted another Tommy Jackson tune unknowingly the other day..."Snowflake Reel".  JanetB was kind enough to give me some background on the tune and add a very nice clawhammer arrangement.  This led to us trading messages about a collaberation of another Jackson tune.  It was a bit different for us both.  Not too bad for a first time collab...she plays the cello banjo and gracefully states the melody and I come in later like an overexcited 2nd time beginner ('cause it's what I am!) and barrel through the changes again with Janet's accompaniment.  My ending is a little exaggerated, but it was good fun, and I hope to do another soon.  Thanks Janet for your nice playing and your use of the garage band software.

A little over a month in as a second time beginner, with now a "playable" banjo.  Attempting to play some Jimmy Arnold stuff...no metronome or backing track, just went for it in the bedroom with a Tascam DP-006. As a 20+ year resident of Kentucky, I&#39;ve grown to really love bluegrass and this podcast is free gift of some wonderful examples of this vibrant music. Ignore the self-deprecating remarks attached to some of these selections (although that humble spirit matches this style of music), the numbers are consistently played expertly and with great style. One notable episode is #11 Ghost Riders--**WARNING** (2/5/11) where the vocal track is intentionally sacrificed a bit to take advantage of the happy coincidence of a thunderstorm during the recording session--it gave me a wonderful case of goosebumps!

I never really played it so I decided that would be a good song to learn and record so I could practice using the Fostex.
