In this episode, I interview Tanium CMO Steve Daheb.Like just every great story, we begin by meeting the protagonist. In business, the person responsible for a company's brand is often the Chief Marketing Officer, and our hero is Steve.We discussed his backstory and the possibilities he saw in Tanium from the outside. Steve shares why the time for Converged Endpoint Management (XEM) has come.As Chief Marketing Officer at Tanium, Steve Daheb leads the global marketing and communications functions and is responsible for driving Tanium’s brand momentum, adoption, demand creation and growth.A highly respected industry leader, Daheb has served in both private and public companies. Prior to joining Tanium in November of 2021, he served as Chief Marketing Officer at ON24, where he helped lead the company through its IPO in February 2021.Previously, Daheb served for over five years as the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Oracle Cloud Go-To-Market, where he was responsible for driving the global growth of Oracle Cloud, including Oracle Cloud Platform services and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services. His responsibilities include full go-to-market strategy and execution to achieve top-line growth of Oracle’s cloud business, which is now a multi-billion-dollar business. He also led Oracle Global Communications, spanning all products, industries and corporate level comms.Daheb has also held Chief Marketing Officer roles at Citrix, Blue Coat Systems (acquired by Symantec) and Emulex (acquired by Broadcom).Dehab holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Davis and a Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University, School of Law.

In this episode I interview Payal and talk about how she, and Tanium, think about Risk & Compliance and how her love of data and what it can do to help people led her to Tanium.Payal is a Senior Director of Product Management, responsible for Tanium's Risk and Compliance Portfolio. For more than 18 years, she has been building products that help companies secure their networks. She has worked with Fortune 500 to hyper growth startups in network, and data security fields. Payal provides expert guidance to our customers in data analytics, migration to cloud, security & risk management.She has a Masters in Computer Science from WPI, and MBA from Babson College. She is from Boston, MA and enjoys traveling with her family.

Well I had the chance to interview that person, Jeff Stokes. My guest this episode is Steven Blankenship from Salisbury University. He takes his role of security to heart and when he had challenges getting the information he needed, and in a timely manner, he knew he had to transform the way things were getting done. He used Tanium to change the story of how his organization thought about, managed, and ultimately transformed to a modern, flexible, and adaptable team running at the speed of Tanium.Steven Blankenship has been with Salisbury University since 1999 working in various roles throughout the department coming up through desktop support, networking, and systems administration before going into management. Since 2014, Steven has served as the Director of IT leading a dynamic and highly skilled team responsible for securely meeting the ever-changing technology needs of campus. He has a Master of Education in Post-Secondary Education and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Salisbury University.

In this episode of the GO Tanium Tech Stories Podcast I get to interview a relatively new team member Colonel Ed J. Debish (Ret.) After retirement from the US Marines as Commanding Officer, Marine Corps Cyberspace Operations Group, he brought his expertise to our Customer Success team.We discuss how Tanium helped keep the communications of the MCCOG safe, secure, and fluid. (You'll have to listen to decipher that acronym. :-))How one of his reports used Tanium to uncover latent performance issues on some aging endpoints so that they could be remediated before they caused problems.He also gives his insight on how he found advocates to aid him in transforming the way his team worked through a digital transformation. Colonel Debish was commissioned a second lieutenant after graduating from the University of Oklahoma in August 1994. There are few stories that mean more to me than those where someone takes something that you made/created and used it to make something useful to others. Today's guest Andrew Thornton works for a Tanium partner Cylitic Security, and they have taken Tanium and done some really interesting things with Tanium for their customers to gain insight into their exposure to Log4j vulnerabilities. Andrew also shares some great insight from is time at the Department of Energy and a large lumber company that add extra value to this episode. Andrew Thornton is an information security leader who has been in the field for over 20 years. His focus during that time has been on protecting and testing applications and enterprises at scale. He is very familiar with the techniques, tactics and procedures that adversaries use, and understands what is required to protect enterprises from them at both a strategic and tactical level. In this episode I interview someone so amazing she goes by her initials. (That and her name kind of takes a half a day to type.) More importantly she has a great story of success with Tanium as a customer and was so impressed she came to work for Tanium because she wanted to help others solve the same problems that have plagued IT for years.Jennifer Pittman-Leeper, JPL, is a Tanium Customer Engagement Manager for SLED customers. She works as an advisor to help customers realize the potential of Tanium in their environments. Prior to joining Tanium, JPL was the Enterprise Security Program Advisory Council (ESPAC) Administrator for the State of Arizona. ESPAC brought together CIOs and CISOs from across the state to discuss cybersecurity policies and select enterprise solutions.

In this episode I discuss value engineering.What is that you ask? I had the same question and Roy explain's it beautifully.Roy Schuster leads the Value Engineering team for Tanium, assisting customers with defining the economic value of our industry-leading endpoint management and security platform. Roy joined Tanium in January 2020. Prior to Tanium, Roy spent 16 years with Cisco Systems. At Cisco, he primarily led large-scale transformation programs for global customers, focusing on IT strategy, technology lifecycle strategy & planning, financial modeling & business case development, process improvement, metrics & measurement, and change management. Earlier in his career, Roy held leadership positions with Akibia Consulting, Lante Corporation, Cambridge Technology Partners and Accenture. He holds an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, and an AB in Economics from the University of Chicago. Roy lives in Oak Park, Illinois, near Chicago, with his wife, two teenage children and two dogs.
