Alex Reegan

In this episode of finding grace I’m joined by Alex Reegan is an interfaith minister, author, speaker, and transformative spiritual coach who uses his intuitive wisdom to help guide people towards their own inner knowing. Born into an evangelical Christian family that prevented his true identity as a trans man from emerging, he spent years in depression, anxiety, and addiction trying to break free of the oppressive beliefs that bound him. His journey at last led him to sobriety, shamanism and then seminary, which helped him reclaim his faith and trust in the Divine. Through speaking engagements, workshops, one-on-one and group sessions with clients, Alex is profoundly dedicated to helping others speak their truth, release shame, and find oneness. We got introduced by my friend George Lizos as previous podcast guest and I can’t wait to share Alex in this brilliant episode. Stop thinking you need answers or solutions immediately, and to look at all the little things moving forward. How I’m continue to shifting out of survival mode with my body, and deepening my worth with my body. The joy of opening up to the possibility of better. When we release resistance and all the layers to how we think we should be be what happens. Why it’s so important to honour your timeline. Why I love sustainability and why it’s important to find your version of this and how stops the highs and lows. Why it’s important when we check in to be kind to yourself and be objective and not be hard on yourself if you aren’t where you want to be. Set your intention this second half of the year to do your version and why this will serve you and your well-being. In this episode of finding grace I’m joined by Shereen Oberg. Shereen is an author of the book “The law of positivism”, the new deck “The law of positivism healing oracle” deck. She is al podcaster, yoga teacher, reiki master and Chinese medicine healer.  Shereen’s work is a blend of spirituality from her Kurdish background (the emblem of the sun in the flag reflects spirituality rooted in Kurdish culture), yogic philosophy, traditional Chinese Medicine and also Western practices too.  I can’t wait to share Shereen on here again. In this episode:  Shereen shares where she’s at and how she’s relating to what finding grace means to her right now.  She recaps her story of what lead her to this work. Finding Grace episode 135 with Shereen Oberg

In May’s solo episode I share my thoughts and musing on the word softness. In this episode:  I share why we resist the word softness or to soften, as it feels so alien to us.  Why softening doesn’t mean we are weak.  We believe being softer will block us from success and getting things done.  Realising we’ve been programmed from a young age this isn’t a good thing. This episode is your invitation to soften.  Why we need to look at our story with this word and understand what we feel about it.  The importance of changing our narrative with this and redefining our relationship with this word to begin to lean into it. Creating a new paradigm with the idea of softening and how that can look in our lives. Realising your nervous system won’t feel safe with this idea and word because its often equated to weakness. So working with your nervous system to change this so it starts to feel good.  Starting to meet your hard edges and to soften and to do this gently remembering its a process.  Why its starting small and realising it’s breaking down all the areas of your life you can lean in and soften will get you feel good about it and seeing the benefits of it.  Realising we can soften and still be successful and expansive. Why finding your way is important here and recognising we are ever changing and expansive and that’s ok. Seeing softness as a beautiful thing and how it can create space in your life and allow you to refuel and refill your cup.  I share all of this and more. Finding Grace episode 133 with Francesca Oddie

In Aprils solo episode of finding grace I share:  All about clearing your energy to be in your power and in a sovereign place. Who you truly are beneath of the layers we’ve collected moving through life. What this means, and how we can become the truest clearest version of ourselves. What this looks like and feels like. Its natural since child hood we’ve picked up many layers and its figuring our what’s really us and what’s in alignment with us now.  Why we have to face how much of what we feel and act out isn’t even us it’s what we’ve picked up along the way. The importance of taking your time to unravel everything, one by one.  Why being grounded is vital. Why trusting your inner compass is key here.  Understanding this is a process and takes times. Being neutral and unattached as we do this. Why it happens that things we thought we’d healed comes up but in a new way to look at it, you’re not doing anything wrong. Removing labels such as right or wrong and becoming more neutral allows us to let go more easier, this goes with how easily we process things let go of time limits.  Understand it’s anchoring it in our bodies, nervous systems and energy bodies and it feeling safe here.  Realising how liberating it is when we become our truer version and how limitless and expansive this is. The importance of being kind to ourselves on this journey.  I share all of this and more. In this episode of finding grace I’m joined by Dr Sarah Lewis who is the head of “penal reform solutions” Dr Sarah has a wealth of experience and knowledge working closely within English prisons for over 16 years. Carrying out her doctoral studies on therapeutic correctional relationships. She feels passionate about promoting humanistic principles in practise. We were connected through a friend  and I think Sarah is doing amazing work here with her team and I can’t wait to share this discussion on here today.  In this episode:  Sarah shares what finding grace means to her and the journey she’s been on. She shares her story and what led her to the work she’s doing today. We discuss prison reform and what its means. She shares her experience of going into prisons and the situation as it is right now. We discuss why reoffending is so common and why reform is needed. She talks about how mental health, drugs, trauma and poor choices often lead people down the wrong path and they get trapped in the system. She shares her experiences of prisons abroad and what she’s learnt.  We discuss examples of how different approaches work. She shares the difference between men and women prisons. We talk about the importance of positive discussions and seeing all the sides to this. We discuss why people have such strong views and why this is understandable, but beyond this discussions need to be brought the table. We talk about how hard it is for people affected by crime to be able to navigate this. She shares what’s bringing her joy in her life right now. She shares what’s supporting her in her life right now, and why this is important for her to keep her cup over flowing with the work she’s doing.
