It's been awhile and just wanted to share what is going on in case you are not a listener of the Speaklifepodcast.com where I have been providing weekly updates.   I don't believe God is  laughing at your plans.  Which in opposition to the old Yiddish proverb that Men makes plans and God laughs.   In spite of what is going on in my life, I am leaning into what Moses said. “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” Psalm 90:12   As we learn to number our days, we can prepare for the days ahead by committing them into God's hands and appointing them for the fulfilling of His purposes. Teaching us to not just sit and wait passively as to what the days will bring but praying for the days that haven't happened yet. He is not laughing.

I woke of this morning with this in my head. Thought I’d share it with you for what its worth.   Someone (on Facebook or IG) in your circle.  Someone you know is grieving and lost a loved one. Someone you know cried themselves to sleep. Someone you know drank too much to try to forget. Someone you know is lonely and losing hope. Someone you know has thoughts about suicide today Everyone you know needs your kindness.    Be kind and rewind.

A Woman's Worth - Part 2

A Womens Worth, the start of a month of episodes dedicated to uplifting and encouraging the women in my life. Your Worth If you’re not being treated with love and respect, please check your “price tag.”   Perhaps you’ve marked yourself down and not realized it. Its you who tells people what you’’re work by what you accept on a daily basis.  We don’t hear what you say because you are always talking.  We do see what you put up with though. Get off the “clearance rack and get behind the glass where they keep the top shelf and the valuable stuff.  Bottom line is you need to value yourself more.

Same feed, different theme. I have done some great things in my lifetime but I want to help just one more person not to give in to the battle within.  I am creating a positive, encouraging, and thought-provoking podcast powered by the mantra of Cpl Desmond Doss, “Lord let me get just one more.”  I know the world doesn’t like positive stuff so I ameliorated the choice of the title to turn the negative into a positive.  I am hoping it works.  I just want to save one more.  I’ve been in many situations where friends called on me to help them, listen to them, and convince them to continue.  I’m focusing that energy, that history, those experiences to get just one more.  I know I could be doing a lot of other things but I feel I am called to this. "Every man dies, not every man really lives" - William Wallace   I am preparing for the launch of a new podcast, “If I Die Tonight.”  It sounds grim but it’s about life.  I plan to take on the tough subjects and put a spin of encouragement, hope, and wisdom gained from not always doing the right thing but learning in the process.  Let me know what you think. All you need is one person to believe in you and you can make it.   Lord Help me get one more.
