Do you suffer from boredom? Are you looking to kill 300+ hours of your life with a bunch of people talking about movies? Then this is the podcsat for you. Throughout every episode, Matt and Shahir emit amazing chemistry, and each guest they have brings a new energy to the show. I have reccomended this podcast to many friends and coworkers, and it sets the gold standard for all movie podcast that come after it. If you are looking for a starting point, episodes such as the Son of Saul episode (Episode 43) and the Micheal More in Trumpland epsiode (Episode 73). I also highly reccomend the marathon reviews like The Avengers Phases reviews and the Star Wars reviews. Either way, always a joy to see what comes next for Matt and Shahir and I will alway be a fan. P.S. yes, I submitted another review, it felt nessecary after I listened to every episode P.P.S And no Shahir, I didnt mispell Chemistry this time, and I humbly apologise to Shavali for disgracing her profession in my last review

Love it

We mean it this time, this is definitely The Last Jedi!

With a raspy voice and a ponderous mood, Shahir and Matt dive into the 9th Star Wars movie they've reviewed since the podcast started. Helmed by fan-favorite Rian Johnson, we try to figure out if the battle for the republic will ever end and if Shahir's cold dead soul can be revived by the force.

In the first of many Netflix released films we'll be discussing this fall, we discuss the way in which Paul Greengrass' 22 July dissects the horrendous Utoya attacks of 2011.

How does the cinematic interpretation of recent tragedies offer solace to those affected by the horrors of unspeakable evil? How does a predominantly liberal country deal with crimes that test the merits of restorative justice? Finally, how do we deal with an irrational ideology which seems to have moved beyond the fringes?

What's this? One week into it's release and The Lonely Island's debut feature "Popstar: Never Stop, Never Stopping" has dropped off the top 10 charts already?

Never fear, Matt and Shahir are here to drive this back up the charts to Number 1! Why? Because it's awesome and because it might be the first time in a while that Shahir actually had fun at the movies (Whaaaaa?)

If we can get past Jake's dreamy eyes, will we see the darkness he's hiding in both these incredibly tense thrillers that explore the limits of morality, and will we finally forgive him for Prince of Persia?

In keeping with the themes of "Burning" we also tease out an Avengers: Endgame follow up conversation which never eventuates, so expect that discussion in an upcoming bonus episode.

It’s time for a little role reversal as Matt and Shahir switch identities to review Luca Guadagnino’s "Call Me By Your Name", a film that begs the question, why can’t every day be an Italian holiday?

This gorgeous film by one of Shahir’s favorite filmmakers puts us in a languorous mode where we contemplate the cumulative effect of stories and whether Matt thinks the minor flaws are enough to break the experience.
