Too much babble prior to the topic at hand. Blah, blah, blah... Good information, at times, but presentation is difficult to endure.

I’ve tried to listen before & the long portions before interviews, or before getting to the subject at hand, discouraged me. Today, I put on Training Your Cat & it was 14 minutes in before the host began the introduction of the guest. Of course, I can move the recording ahead & try to find where the real topic begins, but I prefer things to be more efficient on podcasts. However, I can tell the host has a good heart & she, of course, can do her podcast any way she wants to, as it is hers! I just wonder if others may feel as I do.

My guest will share specific, couple-tested solutions to the most common struggles couples face-- both the small troubles and the more serious dilemmas of communication, like gridlock, betrayal, and apparently unsolvable differences. Linda uses her own thirty-five-year marriage to guide couples through challenging issues like loss of sexual energy, dealing with traits that went from endearing to annoying, and the many ways that family history and personality type can interfere with a successful relationship. “When you know how to navigate the storms, conflict can lead to understanding and even closeness that makes your relationship even better than it was before,” writes Linda. “In most cases, the Love Skills process will help you to rediscover the original promise of your relationship and offer you a road map for traveling this rewarding and challenging path.” Please join us Thursday to learn about the 5 stages of a relationship and how to navigate conflict to bring you closer.

Do you feel stuck? Do you find yourself in repetitive situations? Does it seem like you should be doing something bigger with your life but you can’t seem to figure out how to get there? When we find ourselves in the same types of situations or relationships that we can’t break free from, it's time to release old imprints and energy. It’s time to raise our vibrational frequencies, align with our soul paths, and attract everything that is good, true and positive for us. Shamans and healers have known how to do this for centuries. Releasing negative energy and bringing in positive energy may sound strange but our bodies do it automatically every time we exhale and inhale. Anysia Kiel will help us learn how to consciously clear negative energy and heal ourselves in a peaceful way. As we discover our inner healer, we discover our own power, embrace love, live our life purpose and align with our soul. Please join us Thursday for this exciting program.

Rank #3: Ayahuasca Gives New Hope for Depression, Addiction, PTSD, and Anxiety with Rachel Harris

Podcast cover
Read more
Most of us have certain ideas about the 1960's because we lived through it, our parents talked about it or television informed us. A lot of what we think we know, however, is only partially true. For instance, because some people misused marijuana, we decided it is bad for us. Now we are discovering that it has curative properties, relieves chronic pain, stops ticks, quiets anxiety and more. Likewise LSD was often used in an irresponsible manner that, in extreme cases, led to mental illness or death. People didn't understand the potential negative impact that these drugs could have and only saw them as a fun escape from reality into a magical world. They also, however, did not see the healing potential of these kinds of drugs. LSD is now being used by some therapists to treat PTSD. Please join us Thursday to learn how Ayahuasca, a psychedelic tea, used in the Amazon for thousands of years can be a medicine that helps heal depression, addiction, PTSD and anxiety.

Rank #4: Harness the Heart's Ability to Heal Anxiety, Depression, and Trauma

Podcast cover
Read more
Our heart beat determines life, and the stronger our heart is, the healthier we are. This is true for our physical body and our emotional, mental and spiritual bodies. When we get hurt or traumatized, our learned response is to close off a part of our heart and to put up barriers to shield ourselves from further harm. In doing so, we cut ourselves off from the best parts of ourselves, the parts that allow us to be our authentic self and come into wholeness. We can learn healthy responses and techniques that allow us to reconnect with our heart to heal anxiety, depression, and trauma and to find renewed meaning and purpose. As we allow ourselves to feel and release old wounds, we open ourselves up to more joy and love. In doing so, we remove the underlying causes of disease, become healthier, stronger, happier, and freer to be our true selves. Along the way, our heart comes into balance and harmony with our mind.
Please join us Thursday to discover how to reconnect with your heart.

Rank #5: Freedom from Panic, Anxiety and Claustrophobia in Just 10 Days

Podcast cover
Read more
Being panic free in 10 days seems unlikely. Yet, my guest, Tom Bunn, has succeeded in controlling panic and claustrophobia in every client with whom he has used this program. 100% success is hard to achieve in anything, especially something that has previously been treated with limited success. The drugs are highly addictive, and only mildly successful even when combined with the supposed gold standard treatment, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. CBT is only successful with one out of seven people. Tom’s program works without drugs or doctors because by doing the specified exercises, your brain learns to respond without panic when you are in a stressful situation. There are even additional trainings for specific situations like: MRI’s, bridges, airplane travel, and tunnels. Please join us Thursday to learn how to become free of panic, anxiety and claustrophobia.

Rank #6: Predictions for 2019: Providing Hope, Gratitude and Optimism

Podcast cover
Read more
Experiencing 2019 with hope, optimism, and gratitude is possible and even necessary if we want a better life for ourselves and the world. Yes, I do know what is happening with weather patterns and natural disasters, firings due to sexual harassment, mass killings, hate crimes, social injustice and prejudice, and the legal misconduct of our President and his associates. We are in the midst of big change, and there is always chaos during change. We are in the middle of this process. Good things are here and more are coming. We can speed up the process by facing our future with gratitude for: what we do have, problems being solved, people entering politics with integrity and a desire to do good things in the world, a zero tolerance policy for sexual harassment, more female voices being heard, and all of the scientific and medical discoveries that are increasing the quality of our lives and healing the environment. Join us Thursday for a listener favorite when Dawon shares hope for 2019.

Rank #7: A Path to Authenticity and Awakening

Podcast cover
Read more
Families, schools, peers and societal beliefs mold children into becoming who they think they need to be in order to receive love and acceptance. By taking on this false self, they disconnect from their natural self with all of its innate gifts and authentic ways of being in the world. The adult winds up succeeding at living someone else's life, or put another way, they fail at living their own life. No matter how much success they garner, they never feel satisfied or fulfilled because they just keep feeding the false self. This leads to ongoing problems that show up as depression, anxiety, stress, anger, unhappiness and disease. Most people never realize the origin of their difficulties and try to deal with their physical, emotional and psychological symptoms as individual problems rather than as a systemic one. When the underlying cause is diagnosed correctly, the system can be healed. Please join us Thursday to learn how to shed the false self and become who you truly are.

Rank #8: Welcoming Angels and Fairies into Our Lives

Podcast cover
Read more
Have you ever been distracted and suddenly jolted into awareness? Your reflexes kick in and you slam on the brakes or grab your child just in time to prevent a serious accident? When things like this happen, we calm down, are grateful, and move on with our day. Rarely do we think about what or who pulled our attention to the impending danger. In 2011, CBS News reported 80% of Americans believe in angels. Across religions and spiritual belief systems there are discussions of angels, celestial beings, and messengers from God. There are many references in the bible, with both Jews and Christians believing in angels, but this belief is much broader. Muslims, Sikhs and Hindus also believe in celestial beings, and the Native American Thunderbird is angel-like, helps humans and delivers messages from Great Spirit. The similarities in the way they look and their purpose is too much to chalk up to coincidence. Please join us Thursday to learn about angels and fairies and how they can help you.

Rank #9: Awakening Your Crystals

Podcast cover

In the eloquent words from my guest’s book: “Crystals work because they are a gift from the divine, from the universe, from the Earth energy, from Light, as are all natural gifts, given to us to enhance and promote our positivity…Crystals are a cosmic gift to us to boost our healing potential, to promote our connection to spirit, and to assist us...so that we may...transmute our negative energy.” We get the most benefit from our crystals when we program them for healing or attraction of positive energy, including love and prosperity. When we treat them with respect, communicate with them and feel the connection we have to them, they become even more powerful. Here are just a few uses: relieving physical or emotional pain, cleansing your aura, hearing, seeing or feeling with your intuition, stopping nail biting, believing in yourself, relieving sinus congestion, and healing the pain of loss. Please join us Thursday to learn how to benefit the most from your crystals.

Rank #10: Using Our 'Third Eye' To Navigate The Highs And Lows Of Life

Podcast cover
Read more
THE INFINITE VIEW is the ultimate guidebook for those seeking tangible tools to help better navigate the inevitable highs and lows life brings. It seems that there are two kinds of people on this planet: those governed by their analytical mind and those driven by their gut. Immense life decisions often hinge entirely on emotion or intellect, hunches or carefully detailed plans. And yet, as those from both camps can attest, these seemingly reliable informants can lead us completely astray. Instead of relying on intellect or instinct, they should learn to perceive their circumstances through an objective lens — what
Ellen Tadd refers to as our “third eye.” Drawing on the counsel from her spiritual guides, Tadd provides practical advice for those seeking to approach life in a more balanced, spiritually informed manner. Join
us Thursday to learn more about Ellen’s journey and how we can incorporate these tools into our lives.

Rank #11: Living as a Spiritual Being Having a Human Experience

Podcast cover
Read more
We often hear spiritual ideas that are hard to grasp, like: we’re spiritual beings having a human experience on earth; we came into this lifetime with a specific purpose; we are co-creators; our true self is hidden beneath societal demands; and we can choose our own destiny. These are all abstract concepts that are difficult to understand and more difficult to put into practice in our busy stress-filled lives. My guest has experienced the metaphysical, studied the common truths of the world’s religions, and created a life full of intention and optimism. Stefania Magidson generously shares her discovery of the essential keys to fashioning a powerful destiny filled with love, compassion and happiness. She sees a richer existence for humanity where intuition is respected as one of our six senses. Making the abstract accessible, my guest inspires both the spiritual expert and novice. Rank #13: Why Journalism is Important to the Survival of Our Democracy

Podcast cover
Read more
It was immediately known that there had been deaths, but the initial report was that the deaths were of Guardsmen, based on a misunderstanding by a United Press International reporter,” Alex Jones, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist writes in the foreword to my guest’s book. “That wrong information was circulated instantly throughout the nation by other newspapers. The Beacon Journal’s reporter on the scene said it was four students who had been killed. The issue was fraught, as one version of events had the students firing on the Guardsmen. But the editors went with their own reporter’s version of truth. They stood virtually alone, and risked ridicule if not contempt. But they were correct.” Please join us Thursday when we explore: What is the role of truth in the media? Can you trust the news you’re seeing and hearing? If not, how do you equip yourself with the information you need? Why is journalism, especially local journalism, so important to the survival of our democracy?

Rank #15: The Power of Self-Care with the Gentle Touch of Jin Shin

Podcast cover

Deepak Chopra says of my guest: “Once in a while you come across a person who demonstrates the potential to be extraordinary, and that is Alexis Brink. I have known Alexis for 30 years and have always been impressed with her desire to break new boundaries and think beyond the ordinary paradigm.” She is one of the world’s foremost authorities on Jin Shin, which is based on the ancient Japanese healing art of energy medicine now practiced throughout the world and gaining respect in the United States. Although related to acupressure, acupuncture, and massage therapy, the Art of Jin Shin is not a physical manipulation of tissue and uses only minimal pressure. It uses a gentle touch with the fingers and hands to redirect or unblock the flow of energy that has gotten stuck in the body. This simple, gentle process allows energy to flow smoothly in the correct direction. With balance restored, a sense of well-being and calm emerges. Please join us Thursday to discover the power of self-care.

Rank #16: Predictions for 2020 and Beyond: What You Choose Matters

Podcast cover
Read more
This is the sixth time that Dawon is doing his predictions on my show. Many of his predictions have come true, but not necessarily in the exact year that he made the prediction. Because time is different in the spiritual realm than it is on earth, it is very difficult to make predictions within a tight time frame. That’s why I’ve renamed his show to include the very real possibility that his predictions will come true in the near future. Some of his predictions that have come true this year include: more women will be moving into positions of prominence; young female scientists will be making important discoveries; new cures for cancer and other diseases will be found; and very young children, who are protégés, will be discovered. I have been sharing this information all year on Facebook as it comes to my attention. Please join us Thursday to hear what is in store for us this year and moving forward into the decade.

Rank #17: Healing Mind and Heart: Relieve PTSD, Depression, Anxiety

Podcast cover
Read more
Trauma is part of our daily lives with heavy doses on the nightly news, and whether we realize it or not, we have all experienced trauma in our own lives. Protecting ourselves and healing from trauma has become a necessity for all of us. In addition, our communities are only as safe and secure as the health of our first responders. Like veterans, first responders are constantly exposed to trauma which leads to high rates of suicide, PTSD, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, spousal abuse and other stress related problems. My guest says that after seven years as a police officer: “I remember being at my step-daughter’s eighth birthday party. As I sat alone watching others, I suddenly realized that I felt nothing. I did not feel connected to anyone; I did not feel any happiness--just indifference and an eerie emptiness inside.” He chose to create ways for first responders, and all of us, to develop a bulletproof spirit. Life is full of potential stressors, from strained relationships and communication with family members, to those that appear unexpectedly in our lives like an angry boss or a traffic jam that causes us to be late, to those happening in the world like natural disasters, mass shootings and political doings. We can’t control other people, our surroundings or world events. What we can do is learn to stay calm amidst all the chaos. When my guest had brain tumor symptoms caused by stress, Julie discovered, “what you think changes your brain. And it doesn’t stop until you’re dead.” Research shows that self-compassion enhances emotional well-being. It boosts happiness, reduces anxiety and depression, and helps maintain a healthy lifestyle including diet and exercise. Combining self-compassion and mindfulness helps to create a life with more ease and joy.
