It’s easy to think of the film industry as a big overwhelming machine. Its full of countless department heads and thousands upon thousands of dollars worth of gear. But for every Goliath, there is a David with his little sling and a lot of passion. That’s truly the best way to describe Outsiders Productions. A small group of friends that have learned by doing. Not by going to the most expensive film schools and spending millions on their movies; but by creating new things and newer things, refining and polishing their skills to get where they are. Getting your movie made is a super tough struggle when you’re starting out. Turns out it can even be tough for film giants like Martin Scorsese. Today we talk to Oklahoma filmmaker and producer of Scorsese’s film “Silence”, Brent Ryan Green. Brent has directed and produced several films over the years. In today’s conversation, he tells us about his filmmaking journey, the lessons he’s learned along the way, and then gets to listen to Brian and Nick struggle through a scene with bad accents.
