Michal began developing vitiligo 6 years ago. After consultations with doctors, he accepted there was nothing he could do about it but avoid the sun and use sunscreen as the doctors instructed. His brother heard about a man in the Czech Republic who was treating his vitiligo with a carnivore diet, then he heard about Joe Rogan, another vitiligo sufferer possibly improving his skin on carnivore. After some research Michal decided to try it too and got started February 1st 2020. One year later, after many steaks, butter and pork meals, he's pleased to see a marked reversal in his vitiligo patches, some weight loss and generally improved health. Monica tells her story of weight loss with gastric bypass and her pursuit of health. She's struggled with her weight since she was 8 and after reaching a high of 407lbs decided to have gastric bypass surgery. She lost 130lbs but then stalled out, after some investigation it was discovered the surgery was botched so she had to have it done again. Monica continued to search for methods to get healthier and eventually came upon IF, keto then carnivore which helped her to lose an additional 80lbs. Sontina struggled with pain and inflammation all over her body for years. It began with a diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis which she poorly managed with a plant based diet. She also struggled with digestive disorders that required daily use of fiber and laxatives. Two years of a vegan diet just took things from bad to worse. I loved having an opportunity to talk with Craig Emmerich, co-author of The Carnivore Cookbook (https://amzn.to/35WG4ao), Keto: The Complete Guide to Success on The Ketogenic Diet (https://amzn.to/2UTWBWz) and many others. He and his wife Maria began writing on the low carb diet in the early 2000s and have been instrumental in shaping the keto space ever since.
