Pop Pop, Fizz Fizz! from Om in Tulum, Mexico - January 19 2013

Thanks to FK and DB, a fun group of friends and family enjoyed a destination celebration in Tulum, Mexico. This party was THE party party and thanks to the guest of honor and a few of the party people, I had a blueprint of a lot of 80s, some contemporary Pop, a few 'guilty pleasures,' a whole lotta Madonna and just a little bit of hip hop Bhangra. Anytime I do a birthday party, or wedding, I like to ask for favorite songs so I can have the best idea about what to rock when the party gets rolling. This is what this eclectic and cool dj sounds like when he plays songs that you and everyone knows and it's quite fun!Enjoy!Holiday MadonnaEverything She Wants - Wham!Say Say Say - Paul McCartneyCaribbean Queen - Billy OceanBillie Jean - Michael JacksonSay It Isn't So - Hall & OatesOpen Your Heart - MadonnaAlright - Janet JacksonThis Must Be The Place (Psychemagik Naive Edit) - Talking HeadsDa Ya Think I'm Sexy? - Rod StewartBette Davis Eyes - Kim CarnesLucky Star - MadonnaDon't You Want Me - Human LeagueAxel - Harold FaltermeyerLet The Music Play (Groove Rider Mix) - ShannonSmooth Criminal - Michael JacksonRemember The Time (Roforo Remix) - Michael Jackson, Fela KutiBlame It On The Boogie (John Luongo Disco Mix) - The JacksonsInto The Groove - MadonnaLadies Night - Kool & The GangLike A Virgin - MadonnaHello, I Love You - The DoorsUnder My Thumb - THE ROLLING STONESEverybody Have Fun Tonight - Wang ChungHungry Like The Wolf - Duran DuranTalking In Your Sleep - The RomanticsShut Up and Drive - RihannaShe Works Hard for the Money - Donna SummerBurning Up - MadonnaDancing On The Ceiling - Lionel Richie: ): ): )Crazy In Love - Beyoncé feat. Jazzy Vibes of Latin America - A Qool DJ Marv Live Set of Latin Jazz, Salsa, Cuban & more

Latin Jazz and Salsa music recorded in September 2010 in a Manhattan loft space for a company's end of summer soiree...I mean, fiesta!Mostly unmixed because many of these songs end cold (meaning that they don't fade out). If you play good songs, and they end cold, let them be. When they finish, you'll find that you can continue on with a similar vibe, or you can change tempo, or you can change music altogether...letting a song end is actually one of the more thoughtful and satisfactory segues.Clocking in at 3 hours, you can feel tropical, practice your salsa dance, or just plain enjoy the virtuosity of these musicians. I love the bright horns and the endless percussion that fills every crevice in the sound. And Latin music also, in my humble opinion, has the most warm bass sound in recorded music.Cuban, Colombian, Puerto Rican, Brazilian, Dominican sounds and more. Buttarchive: Beats, Jazz, & Soul #54 - Hug You Squeeze You

"That's the break. This music is the intermission. When you tired of standing up all night dancing and sweating and hollering and screaming and stomping your feet. And it's time that your woman say - well baby I want to just sit down with you and talk with you. That's where Barry White comes in.And it's a slot that's fitted in every young teenager, young adult, middle aged adult, the one's that dance and don't dance.Everybody takes time out for this kind of music somewhere on their playlist at home. They have to!The human mind can only stand so much of that go go go go go music. And when you got to settle it down...the lyric and the melody is still flowing easy......it starts out with a concert concept, it's beautiful strings and setting you up for this thing. It's not just a lot of screaming and loud guitars blazing everywhere." - Barry White (his quote can be heard at 48:19 on this http://djqoolmarvsounds.podomatic.com/player/web/2009-08-20T18_32_24-07_00This mix was created in 2000 for Valentine's night at an L.E.S.N.Y.C. venue called SX137. Otherworldly sensual concepts throughout, the title Hug You Squeeze You comes from the tiny voice that keeps saying that phrase in the Cinematic Orchestra Song called Channel 1 Suite. We've both moved on from SX137 and spreading our art in our own unique ways. Please direct your attention to this cool page on the New York Times website featuring artists renditions of the iconic I Love NY image. Zambezi Kind of Love - A Gift Mix for + from Danielle + Hywell

Compiled by Dan & Hy, woven into a love story by Marv. And theirs is a true love story, spanning continents.Décollage comes from the French word décoller (take off, unstick). Décollage in French also means "take off" during airplane travel. How does that matter? There was a walk, with wine, on a once in a life time fine line. He didn't get the chance to say yes, she changed her dress.Impressed and interest, she read his eyes and guessed, 'You got the love.'Seeing soul through the diamonds the shoes, oh baby, he knew what he knew, 'She's the one to care for.'He thought that if he could get her to the Zambezi he could wait for the right moment, daydreaming the rush of the river, the brightest sun, quite poetically he'd pose, "Do you remember the day you said I'll be the only one? 'Cause I remember the way you held my gaze my lovely one. Do you remember the day you let me be the only one? 'Cause I remember making love to you under the sun.""By a river underneath the mango tree my love, you're the one, you're the one...you're the one."TentSandstormHere comes the sun.Newlywed wedding mix? Yes. I don't want to bore you, maybe you'll be amazed by the sound of Greenpoint+Vumba? Knocks me off my feet.Shared at the request of radiance, if you ain't got this in your collection of DJ Marv Makes Lovers Love...(a bit long for an alias)...A te."A te?"That's "For you" in ItalianIntroducing the story of Danielle + HywellIslands in The Stream---Where? http://www.babingtonhouse.co.uk/galleryAnd that CD cover?: http://www.mrboddington.com/

I hope you have the kind of love that makes you want to embrace who you are with and dance in the key of love and generosity.
