JRawls Secret Recipe Podcast Episode 27 PT2

@jrawls82 is a professor at The Ohio State University.. African American & African Studies added a new class this year ( The Art and Politics of Hip Hop) to quote Biggie I never thought that Hip Hip would take it this far, but it has and continues to grow larger than ever. J.Rawls made a name for himself producing “Brownskin Lady” on the MOs Def & Talib Kweli are Blackstar album. He remains humble and reps Ohio hard. A lot of people in music get intimidated by others success, especially if the artist are from a younger generation. Not Dr Rawls, he continues to help artist get heard and pushes them forward which is very honorable and I salute those actions. Initially going to college for computer programming turned into a bachelors degree in business., a masters degree in education, and a doctorate in educational Administration . Dr Rawls who has over 15 years experience teaching k-12 is also the co author of Youth Culture Power a Hip Hop guide to building teacher / student relationships and increasing student engagement. Dr. Rawls was also a featured presenter for the Places of Invention, Bronx, NY exhibit that opened in July 2015 at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C. In this exhibit, a virtual J Rawls walks visitors through the nuances of how to scratch and mix on a replica turntable.. The producer /Dj/ rapper/ educator / author / Dr Rawls story is one that we hope inspires others to stay inspired. It was an honor to have you on Secret Recipe Podcast Episode 27 .
